I recently commissioned a PS2 Slim with James at Bytes Free. He provided all the relevant info alongside his quotation so I could make informed decisions regarding what I wanted, and the work was completed to a high standard soon thereafter, with updates throughout the process. My PS4 sounded like a Jet engine it was louder than the TV. I took it in to Bytes Free and he did a excellent job in fixing it. The PS4 now operates as good as new, it's so quiet now. And it was done at a fair price. I would definitely use his services again.

High Quality Retro Console Mods
James @ Bytes Free modded 3 consoles for me. Good communication on exactly what work I wanted. Very neat high quality install. No cut mods on Intellivision (RGB) and 3DO (240p switch RGB and in game reset; replaced caps and repaired leak). Very neat mini HDMI install on Wii. Provided high quality photos of install and testing. Will use again for complex mod work.

I sent in 2 consoles for mods and repairs
I sent in 2 consoles. One snes to have a region mod installed and the capacitors replaced. And a Famicom that was no longer working.
Once it arrived with him both items where ready and back to me within a week.
Gives tracking for the parcels, shows pictures of the work, and he is more affordable than other modders in the UK.
Would recommend always.

Sega Megadrive DFO
Wanted to have my own MD1 upgraded to triple bypass, ,dfo and capacitor upgrade. Having looked into the DFO install I needed a trusted installer, and had used James previously and was not dissapointed. Pictures of his soldering are supplied and its perfect techinically. Nice guy too .

I sent my PS2 to James at Bytes Free to get the retrogem HDMI mod installed. I was sent photos of the modification which looked very clean and professionally done. It was returned to my door a day or two after payment went through and everything worked great! Very happy and will likely send console mods to James in the future!
