Efficient, high quality, service with great customer support for a reasonable price!
I asked James for a custom job on my PS2 including:
A deep clean of the console.
A full diagnostic.
Replacement of all the capacitors.
The installation of a new internal battery (provided by me).
The installation of a Matrix PIC Fix chip (provided by me).
Not only did he do everything that I asked for, he also talked to me on WhatsApp about the details of everything beforehand and sent me pictures of the internals after he had completed the work. Which was expertly done, by the way, very clean and neat. I dropped off the console in person, since I lived relatively close by and I was picking it up a week later.
All of this for an extremely reaonable price, I honestly couldn't be happier.
I would definitely recommend James' services and make use of his services again in the future for any further console modding needs.
There was only a small issue initially of getting in contact, my emails weren't getting through for some reason, seems it was an overzealous spam filter incorrectly auto-marking my emails as spam. But after contacting him on WhatsApp, everything went great!

Friendly and Professional experience

James at Bytes Free did an amazing job modding my NES for RGB output. He also did a region lockout. Cannot fault the entire experience - James was very helpful on email and WhatsApp before sending off my NES to him. I was kept in the loop on him receiving it, when the work was done and when he'd sent it back. The mod was done very quickly and sent back top tier mail. Cant recommend enough!

PS5 HDMI FIXED
Would like to say a huge Thank you to Bytes Free for fixing my PS5 HDMI (was broken off the console inside).
Got it fix in March 2025. Up to this day (August) it works perfectly as usual. No issues, no white noise or no signal message.
The guy was very helpful, up to date and efficient with my console. Would 100% recommend and trust with any issues if further damage in the future.
