I popped in to BYD a short while after being treated poorly at a competitor dealership and the difference was clear. From initial welcome to Mitch helping me load my golf clubs and trolley into the boot (mega important that they fit) the service was right. From then to collection the communications were good and when Mitch said 'any questions, just ask' he meant it. He set some of the car up for me when I collected it (Bluetooth to mobile), explained about charger seeking apps etc. One of the guys even helped me swap number plates in the car park a week later. Terrific service all round.

Visited the showroom and was wowed by the level of customer support. Felt valued and wanted every step of the way. My best ever experience buying a car. Thank you Yasmin and the team.

Superb staff all well informed and particularly Ruth Saunders who was excellent from start to finish with her knowledge and clear guidance with a no pressure approach too which was so refreshing. Her aptitude to dealing with a tricky situation and gaining a sale has to be very highly commended

The team were friendly and informative. I went in not knowing anything about EVs and I’ve come out with the necessary knowledge to understand what BYD have on offer! Will definitely be back when the time is right! 5 stars!!

I have had a BYD on order via Tusker since December. It was due to arrive in March, but as I understand due to the sheer volume in that shipment it effectively got lost between arriving at Port and getting to the showroom. No one’s fault necessarily but there was a lack of customer care initially, where I was promised responses by various people at City West & Country but received limited calls and emails back to my queries despite chasing regularly. I then got in touch with a sale administrator called Josie Bayley in mid-April, and she took ownership of my case and seemingly went out of her way to chase it up and find out what was going on – she was extremely attentive and regularly made me aware of the current status and what she was doing to try and resolve it.

Within a couple of weeks she’d manage to find out when the car would arrive, and kept me fully informed the whole time.

Josie really turned around my whole experience. She was an absolute pleasure to deal and is an asset to the dealership.

The team at South West BYD Exeter, particularly Ruth and Ryan, have been outstanding. The level of care and communication was brilliant and they have made the experience of joining the BYD family so easy. Coming from a lesser service provided by Tesla, it made for a refreshing change to actually speak with people who take any concerns seriously and address with a level of urgency and provide solutions that were delivered rapidly. The BYD seal is an excellent car and the with the excellent service provided by Ruth and Ryan has made this experience 5 star.

From booking a test drive, to buying a Sealion 7 Excellence, Chicaine couldn't have been more helpful. We test drove a Sealion Design, and when we returned she pointed out an Excellence newly delivered, needless to say, it was the one.
The whole process was easy, especially as we were on holiday during the process of trading in our car and transferring the number plates, all was done via email and over the phone.
On the handover Chicaine went through the infotainment and controls and gave us plenty of time to familiarise ourselves with the car before driving off.
I would recommend BYD Probus, the helpful staff, no pushy product sales , and good communication made the whole process less stressful.

7 months after ordering a BYD seal BYD South West cannot tell me when I'll be receiving my car. They advertise a 6-8 week lead time for cars not in Stock, I'm now up to 7 months with no delivery date insight. Please do not use these cowboys as you will only be disappointed

Booked a test drive online, got a call back to book a date and time which we did. They explained I would get a call the day before to confirm. No phone call came, phoned them first thing the day of the test drive, no answer so left a message asking to be called back, no call back, called them 50 minutes later again still no answer so left another message asking for a call back and was the test drive still on? No reply ! Called the Taunton branch asking if the Exeter branch was still open? Told it was open and they would try to contact them on my behalf, got a call back saying they couldn’t contact them either ! Didn’t go for the test drive as didn’t want to waste a 45 minutes drive each way. Got a call from them 5 mins past the time of the test drive asking if was coming ???!!!! If that’s how they treat customers who want to spend money who knows what they will be like trying to sort out a problem. 0 out of 10 from me, I will take my money elsewhere !

Just bought BYDseal u from byd southwest whuch is excellent car and i was served by Chicaine Bennetts who is very good at her job serve me really well also helped me with my insurance which took 3 hours to get insured but she was with me all the time till I got insured she deserve five stars for her job and beautiful smile and customer services Thank you

Really good experience speaking to everyone at BYD Plymouth. Bought a Seal U dmi from them and the whole process was seamless. Really straight forward transaction, Jacob sorted out finance within minutes, and sorted out a pickup date immediately. Jacob could not attend the handover and Mitchell helped me who was equally brilliant. Answered most questions and helped me set up the car, considering its a very new vehicle he was very knowledgeable about the very complicated system. All in all would 100% recommend BYD Plymouth. They also said I could call with any questions that I had regarding the car and the set up, this reassured me as I did come down from London as my local dealer was giving me the run around.

I am a fussy man with mega questions on new vehicles. Chicane and Dan, were excellent in responding to all my questions and fears of buying a new model (for the UK). The test drive was made very easy as was the purchase of the car. I have had German cars for the last 25 years so it was a real eye opener to see how much value has gone into the Seal U DM-i. I test drove three different models and was given all the time I needed to make my selection. No pressure nor push to the more expensive model. They are a great team to work with.

I bought my new BYD Seal from Taunton and the the sell's team where fantastic and very helpful .

What a experience we had and Kelvin and Deven really looked after us and all went smoothly thy took us through everything and sent us a video of all the control to look back at if we forgot things very professional throughout thanks again look forward to catching up

From when we first entered the Exeter showroom we were welcomed immediately with an offer of Tea or coffee ,we were looking at a BYD Dolphin and were shown around the model on display and an offer of a test drive,which we took.After the test drive there was no pressure to buy the vehicle, subsequently we did and on collection we had a thorough handover from Yasmin, altogether a terrific experience from start to finish.
