I would have given zero £50 voucher - not delivery on order no communication just an excuse of being poorly and a delivery had been dispatched - still no product arrived I’m still waiting

This was our second order from B&B and just as before, fantastic service! Our eyed hawk moth eggs were delivered carefully packaged, exactly when the website said they would be. We ordered these at the end of February with the site stating delivery Spring 2026 and sure enough, a few days after the first day of spring we had a dispatch email and they arrived.

All 20 eggs have now hatched and are happily feeding on the advised food plant, Willow.

I have recommended B&B to a close friend who has since ordered, and will also be ordering in the near future for some eggs/caterpillars for our daughter’s school summer project.

Eggs and pupae are always well packaged, lots of information on the website about how to care for different species meaning that it's super easy to raise caterpillars successfully. Love the range on offer and the regular email updates about what is currently available. Customer support is also fab with swift, helpful responses. Never had an issue ordering from here and have made multiple purchases in the last year or so. When purchasing seasonally available eggs ahead of when they are ready, they have always arrived in the stated season or month.

I have ordered eggs and caterpillars multiple times and have always had a positive experience. The livestock is very carefully packed and always arrived in mint condition.
Make sure to note the "estimated availability" to avoid disappointment when having to wait until your butterfly/moth naturally breeds.
Great communication with very knowledgable staff, who are definitely passionate about their bugs and butterflies!
Highly recommended, especially for beginners (like myself), as there are thorough, easy to understand care guides on the webiste.

The team at Bugs & Butterflies are always professional and a great help when you need it, seasonal availability delivery is always kept to and they were more than happy to help me with a guesstimate on timings so i knew when to have extra space ready for in time.
They even sent out part of s bulk order for me that i was ready for quicker than anticipated. All in all a great help always.

Very fast delivery of my newt eggs. Out of the 10 eggs i ordered 6 have hatched which I think is a good success rate. They are growing well and look healthy. Would definitely buy again.

I valued the care taken with my order. The email communication about the status of the order and delivery dates and times was very good. The packaging was excellent and the livestock arrived safely and as described.

Amazing experience, after seeing so many negative reviews on this site. I have been very surprised with the service I received. I ordered some alpine newt eggs. They were advertised as ready for delivery and I received them within 48hrs of ordering. I even had a couple of newt larvae that had hatched in the post.
I can not comment on the butterfly/moth side of business as I have never ordered this stuff and it’s not my specialty.

Overall experience with this company is great. Ive used them a few times and the insects are great quality.
They always come really well, packaged and if in season and ready for delivery then they arrive in a timely fashion.
Customer service is fantastic I always get help with what I feel are silly questions and responses are fast and very helpful.

Made a $69 order in June 2025. Its end of March 2026 never received my order. Been following up since. I would like my money back or my order. They don't respond. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SHOP!

Tiny caterpillars received securely with some food plant .

Just recieved another order from b&b, pleased to say all ten pupa are looking very alive and well with one having emmerged this morning already. Quick and efficient delivery you just have to pay attention when ordering to the "availability" if youre not looking to pre order

I’ve been following and purchasing from Bugs & Butterflies for a couple years now. I’ve purchased eggs, cocoons and caterpillars and all have been a great learning experience for myself & my young daughter. Mother Nature is such a wonderful thing and seeing the beautiful butterflies and moths that emerge is a real pleasure. With a little bit of patience and the right environment, anyone can enjoy these wonderful creatures.

This is a repeat of my email about 6 months ago.
These are scammers and bullshitters, if you know of anyone you buys live butterflies and moths please advise them to stay well clear of these liars! You will lose your money and you will receive emails with new goods for sale also stating they are catching up on their emails, Ive recently asked for the refund time and time agin, but they insist I have credit with them, joke! - I do not want to ever deal with these again!!!.... Avoid like the plague!!!

I have received my moth eggs in post when they were safe to send I know it could take a while as who knows when moths are going to lay eggs and how many there will be so somtimes have to wait till they get sent I’ve had not issues with bugs and butterfly’s what so ever if I need any information they are willing to help just email I will be doing much more business with them in the future Paul
