I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I contacted customer service immediately after placing my order because I realized I had accidentally left my apartment number off the shipping address. There was plenty of time to correct this simple mistake or cancel the order before it was processed, but neither option was offered.

Instead, I was told the order could not be changed, canceled, or refunded. This level of customer service is unacceptable and shows very little concern for customers. A simple issue that could have been resolved in minutes turned into a frustrating experience because of the company’s unwillingness to help.

Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this business. I expect companies to stand behind their customers and provide reasonable solutions, especially when notified immediately of an honest mistake.

Complete waste of money. Followed instructions. Clothes do not smell like anything. Big waste. I bought the plus soap in two scents plus the dryer balls. No scent. Waste of money. Hard to get immediate support for troubleshooting.

Today i went into the Buff City in Winston-Salem NC and this is the second time that I have encountered rudeness. First of all I have been going there since they open, not to mention my godsister had a party at this location. I needed to get a ????box for a co worker. They had 2 but when I picked it up it felt empty. So i got something else. The store manager was there dealing with a children's party and I ask if i could get on made and she said "i don't think we have anything to make one" it's not what she said but how she said it, rude and u willingness to make one. I buy them frequently and i have had 2 made without any issues, but today it was a issue. I feel that customer service was uncomfortable and u welcoming.

Love the laundry detergent but the customer service is terrible. Was supposed to receive a delivery yesterday. Apparently it was damaged and stuck at a fed ex facility. I’ve tried to contact Buff City for days. Even tried a store location and no one is responding or helping except for the same AI email response. Very frustrated. May have to find another soap.

I went to my Buff City Soap in Round Rock Texas yesterday to purchase a birthday gift for a friend. I was not sure what I wanted to buy. The young woman working there was extremely helpful and patient with me as I pondered a decision.
The products are lovely, the store is beautifully displayed and the service was amazing! Buff City Soap is a great place to shop!

I shop inside a store and through online ordering. I sometimes order blindly and not always happy. But let it go. I just received my order and the bottles came leaking and making a huge mess. Three of the soap bottles came with the top of the cap inside the bottles. Two of the three spray bottles came leaked as well. And the colorations are all different on the three, with no smell of the fragrance at all. I tried the one good one and it smelled like nothing! After sending pics and going back and forth and reminding them I haven’t heard anything, they finally said they’ll replace the three soap bottles, as they should. As to the other leaky spray bottles, they will give me a free shipping code for my next purchase. How generous of them. NOT! Doesn’t even cover all the missing liquid to begin with! Horrible customer service for the rice they charge for their products. Their smells have become a hit or miss in the last year. Thinking if maybe not using them anymore as I do believe they have cut back the scents on items I have been using for years. It has become not worth it anymore. The lack of customer service this time has made up my mind. Very sad.

Ive been buying laundry soap from this company for almost 2 years it seems now, and I love it. I've never had a problem with any of my orders, and they always arrive on time.

Thanks for your extremely slow response. I stopped into one of your stores and was impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. So because of that I decided to buy some more products online. The online experience was so terrible. It kept putting things into my cart that I didn’t choose and not placing the things I did. It took several attempts before getting it right. Then you use Shop Pay, which is fine, but I manually added a new card number and made sure to choose that at checkout. However once the order went through it showed it had charged the wrong card. I immediately went to try to change the order or cancel and reorder with the correct card number. There was no way to do so on your site. I looked for a customer service number and there was none. My only options were email or the chat feature. I chose the chat feature which is just a bot and no way to speak to a real person. This was all done merely minutes after placing to order. I got a response that I would be contacted and got some form email stating that as well. And here we are 11 days after placing the order l finally get a response. For this I will no longer even consider your products. You have a lot of work to do if you want to even come close to earning customer loyalty.

Back when Narcissist body spray came out I RAN to the store and bought two, I was so excited! It smell AMAZING- for 5 minutes. Then poof- it was gone. I did a review on their website, giving it 1 star. They would NOT publish my review. And I know darn well I'm not the only one who felt/feels this way. Because of that, I never bought one more thing from them. I'll stick to BBW.

Anyone else being told that they have to wait an entire month to receive their order because Kentucky has run out of soap? This is extremely sad customer service if this is their final answer.

I can’t make this up every time I try to post something about it they take it down.

So just wondering if anyone else is experiencing a month-long delivery time after ordering for Christmas and cyber Monday?

I run a small business myself, so it’s really sad that this is their answer and they cannot give me even an estimated ETA as to when I will receive my order.

I’m a huge fan of Buff City Soap! My review is based online only as I don’t have a store near me. My sisters raved to me about Buff City’s laundry detergent so I went online & ordered some & ever since my first delivery I never looked back. I love every scent I have tried & I have tried a lot! I have also tried their soaps, lotions, shower oil & love all of them. Amazing scents. I have always received my shipments fast & with no issues.

Nice customer service from Amanda. She was very informative about the scents I preferred.

Local store just closed after 4 yrs, no warning. All these rewards they send out via email and your loyalty points can only be used in store. No stores within 100 miles of me. The store in vero beach Florida where my mom lives... permanently closed as well. This company is beyond a Hassel and clearly has stability issues. Shop at thelaundress.com. yes they are a little more expensive, but been around forever and quality is exceptional.

I love going to Buff City Soap to be exposed to the newest scents. It always smells wonderful and you can get that same wonder smell in your shower, in your clothes and on your person. It feels great to smell fantastic!!

Where is customer service? Do we just get "contact us" through email with Buff City Soap??? I received a bad shipment of laundry detergent-about $100 worth....
no smell, discolored, and hard clumps throughout product. I have reached out to customer service through their preferred email THREE times-no response.

I have been going to the Winston Salem NC store. It has gone downhill. I work with a lot of nurses at a local hospital. They used to say “you smell so good! What do you use?” I used to Narcissist laundry detergent. Now I can hardly smell the scent. It’s expensive enough without having to purchase a “scent booster!” Now I can’t recommend this place.

My first time trying their dryer balls and very disappointed. When i opened the box of 3 the smell was amazing and strong, which I loved. My first dry clothes had no smell and had so much static, that I had to redry using dryer sheets. I tried the dryer balls again, but this time using 2 of them, the results were the same.

So disappointed. LOVE their Narcissist laundry detergent. I ordered several other products online in that scent and set everything for autoship. These other products for whatever reason do not smell anything like the detergent, my family did not like it at all and we threw them away. Silly me, forgot it was on autoship, I’ll admit fault in that.

My first issue with this company is, why do you not send an autoship reminder ahead of time like every other company? It’s a simple, honest, transparent notification that allows the customer to see if any prices increased, make changes, add products to meet whatever free shipping limit is in place at that time, etc. But no, you just charge my card and send an order confirmation email.

You don’t have any phone number listed to call, I had to chat with the bot online, who submitted my request for cancellation BEFORE the items shipped. However, by the time your representative responded to me a couple hours later, it had already shipped and you refused to cancel and refund.

This is such a scummy “gotcha” practice. No notice, no quick contact info, no cancellations, no refund. Now I’m out all the money for products I don’t even like and will get thrown away like the first batch, plus $10 shipping which I could have at the very least avoided by adding detergent I like to the shipment.

My only hope is that the products I receive this time actually smell like the Narcissist detergent and I’ll actually use them.

Update: I needed to buy laundry soap again, and after the way Buff City handled my last order, I decided to move on. I placed an order with a new company on a Tuesday and had it in hand by Friday. No delays, no excuses, just the freshest laundry ever by the weekend. And honestly, the scent is better than anything I’ve used before.

I’ve been using Buff City Soap’s laundry soap for three years and have always loved it. Their products are free of harmful chemicals and smell amazing!

Unfortunately, a recent experience has made me reconsider. I placed an order on January 11th and waited patiently for it to ship. After contacting customer support on January 20th, I was informed the order had been lost and would be reshipped. I waited four more days without receiving a shipping confirmation, so I reached out again on January 24th, requesting my order to be overnight shipped. I didn’t get a response or follow-up about my feedback regarding the support agent.

Finally, on January 28th, I received an update that my order had shipped, so it’s on its way.

The lack of follow-up and communication was the most disappointing part. Buff City Soap could improve by having better systems in place to handle situations like this. I still love their products, but I hope they address these issues for a smoother customer experience in the future.
