The mattress 1500 Natural is lovely and is surprisingly cool even in this hea wave. Overall nice quality product at an excellent price. Thank you Sam for helping me with everything. I placed my order on 7th June and it didn't arrive until over 3 weeks later on the 29th! A single divan bed and mattress. When it was eventually delivered the top of the bed was torn in places. The delivery guys called us up to look at it. We called them and said we wanted it returned and the mattress as we were fed up, They said if we cancelled the mattress we would lose 50% of its value as that is in their t&cs. Disappointed that they refused to waive this under the circumstances. Anyway I am still waiting to hear that my refund has been processed for the bed. Still waiting for a £25 refund that I told was being processed on 16th June for another reason (now 2nd July) They are slower than most companies to respond to emails and issue refunds. Not a good experience. Have to keep chasing up. Order BBD3599.
Update: they have resolved the matter now, and I appreciate the response. Our guest says the mattress is very comfortable at least.

Shockingly poor customer service and quality
By far the worst customer service I've ever had the misfortune to experience. Ordered a bedframe on 18 March. Constantly had to chase for updates on delivery. Eventually found out the supplier ran out of the fabric, therefore holding up delivery, but no one thought to tell me. Finally the bed arrived, delivered by Furdeco. It was very badly damaged, dirty, and poorly assembled by delivery team. Unfortunately I only realised how bad the damage was once Furdeco had fully assembled it in the bedroom. I find it extremely poor that they didn't tell me how severe the damage was when they were assembling as you couldn't fail to see the tears in the fabric. The damaged bed remained in place and a replacement was ordered. Numerous emails, phone calls, and 2 failed deliveries later (Furdeco on 2 separate occasions didn't know they had to disassemble and remove the damaged bed first so had to abort as they weren't carrying any suitable tools!), finally a second bed arrived. Guess what?! It was also extremely badly damaged! I gave up and asked for a refund. The original damaged bed was collected 2 1/2 weeks ago and only just got my refund after chasing multiple times. I've asked for my complaint to be escalated but it just goes to the same customer care team. I've noted also that the stock response on here is to say they have no record of an order in X name. So just in case that gets added to my review, it's not true! If I could give zero stars I would but doesn't allow you to. What I expected to be a 3 to 10 day delivery, as advertised on their website, turned into a very stressful 3 1/2 month fiasco. And whilst I accept Furdeco is a different delivery company, Beds Direct are extremely lacking in the customer service department, taking ages to respond to emails and not providing updates.

I am impressed with the quality and…
I am impressed with the quality and service. My bed was set up for me. The drivers joined the headboard and put on the mattress so it was literally ready to put bedsheets on. They also took my old bed away at the same time so that just made everything so much easier. Delivered a lot quicker also within the week compared to some places need to wait 2-3 weeks just for the mattress only. If you’re looking for something better quality than the normal high street stores then I highly recommend them.

Avoid avoid avoid this company! They used to be excellent but have gone to the pits. Still waiting for a bed I ordered in January. Several failed deliveries where only parts of the bed were delivered. Measurements were incorrect or quality poor. Customer service is lacking. Communication is poor. Compensation is ‘out of their hands’. Loosing hope of ever actually receiving a bed.

Headboard Experience
Well here I am again reporting on the headboard which arrived by Evri. I’ve only given four stars for the following,
1 I was informed last week that the courier (not Evri) had my parcel but did not materialise so I had once again asking where it was and told it was lost but never seemed to have left the factory. On the second occasion all well and delivered today.
2 The staples securing the polythene cover are a nightmare to remove, they might be easy for the manufacturer but not so for the customer, a more customer friendly solution would be appreciated.
The headboard is excellent, well made and nicely upholstered, we have it in eau de nile which is a nice neutral relaxing colour. I am very satisfied with the headboard and would give the 5*.
Reflecting on my experience with a divan base and then the headboard, the products are first class but the systems need a bit of urgent work, left hand please talk to right hand. Lost stars on both accounts because of this.

From the very beginning: the phone was answered within 5 rings, advice given, sending out samples and placing the order were all stress free and easy. Particularly Sam and Adam were very helpful. The cherry on the cake of professionalism came after this.
I needed to cancel my delivery several times. Each time this was handled very well and each time a new time and date was given to me. There were consistent follow ups, with text and phone calls confirming the new delivery date. Kay was most helpful and went out of her way to assist me by organising the delivery company to move an item of furniture from the house for me to make way for the bed. Kay and the delivery team from Furdeco were all out to help and coordinate. Thank you to everyone at British Beds Direct and Furdeco. Happy new year to you all. Will recommend you.
