Massive scam.
Having already bad experience with my 2 second hand pairs of docs I came to this shop to ask for advice. I heard that the issues I had were caused by the fact that my boots were second hand and because of the poor quality of the new docs produced overseas. I was looking for something slightly different than the pair that has been proposed to me but I have been reassured that the pair that I'm looking for will probably be poor quality but I can get a pair that has been made in England that will last for years and cause no issues. The price was very high but I was excited to have a pair of original docs. I've tried them on, they were pretty and comfortable and the owner was very convincing. Little I knew, I just bought a pair of boots made in Vietnam, just 200€ more expensive. I realized my mistake at home and then it was too late as the store doesnt accept the returns of in store purchases (of course).
The boots are still pretty and comfortable but I could have bought exactly the pair I wanted without overpaying. I didn't double check and I have paid for them but I have been given little time to think as the owner was constantly talking and I simply fell in the trap.
It will be a bitter reminder for me to trust people less and give myself more time and space to make decisions.
Don't make the same mistake. Save yourself the time and your hard earned money and just buy your pair in the official store.

Dishonest experience and slimy sales techniques. I’m writing this review here mainly because the shop owner uses this site to bash the competition. Although they sell Dr. Martens, if you visit wearing them you’ll get trash talked and get a sales pitch showing Dr. Martens score on Trust Pilot. He’ll ask you if you would visit a restaurant with such a low score so why buy from a company with similar ratings. Then he’ll sell you Solavairs at a significantly higher price than what the company sells them for! It don’t take my word, go for a visit for yourself when in Camden Town.

I had a fantastic experience at the British Boot Company in Camden Town. If you are looking for high-quality, niche footwear, this is absolutely the place to go.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They clearly have a lot of passion for what they do, which makes sense given their long history since 1851. They are known as the UK's original Dr Martens shop, and their selection of exclusive boots is impressive.
Highly recommend stopping by if you're in Camden and want excellent service and a pair of shoes you won't find anywhere else!
