I signed my 10th grader for geometry tutoring. I found the tutor to be helpful and insightful.

I absolutely love this school!They have worked with me to accommodate my grandson that has anxiety &autism.They are always responsive,highly recommend.

One of the main reasons we wanted to school online is safety. With Brilliant Microschools we small classes and teachers who care for their students. No overcrowded classrooms and anxiety in the hallways. My son feels safe and can focus on learning instead of being nervous.

This school sucks. My child isn't learning anything. They claim in the interview your kid will be 2 grades above grade level by the time they're done. LOL. This school should be free, or at least half the price for what they offer. The classes need to be much smaller because helping each kid takes so much time out of the day, and there's only 2-3 hours of school as is. My kid has had to change teachers several times because they are so mediocre, and/or don't know how to run a classroom. Lots of time wasted and rushing not learning anything. Not recommended.

This is a perfect way to homeschool your kiddos and still give them the ability to connect to other kids. Love the curriculum and the teachers here!

We love the one on one tutors! My son who is on the spectrum has been engaging wonderfully with his tutor for language arts through the video class. His tutor keeps it very engaging for him and he is doing great! I have definitely seen progress. He is enjoying his language arts class time with his tutor and learning at the same time.

Brilliant Microschools puts student engagement above all else. My child has been empowered to explore her interests and develop her passions in ways I never thought possible. It’s incredible to see how motivation grows when students have real choices and ownership over their education. As a parent, I feel so fortunate to have found a school where my child is thriving and genuinely excited to learn every day!

My daughter has blossomed in ways I didn’t think were possible with traditional schooling. The teachers have taken the time to understand her strengths and challenges, offering support that feels both thoughtful and personal.

The school’s environment feels like a community, where every child is valued and encouraged to shine in their own way. It’s clear that the teachers genuinely care about helping kids reach their potential, not just academically, but as whole, capable individuals. For the first time, I feel like my daughter is truly being seen, and heard.

This school claimed to be able to work with special needs students, ADHD, dyslexia, executive function disorder, etc. It claimed to have small class sizes. However, my son is a high school student who has experienced a lot of bullying, has ADHD and executive function disorder, among other things. Navigating everything at his age has been incredibly difficult for him. We were clear about his challenges when we were going through the enrollment process and they said they could work with him. However, I have found that they overall expected him to perform like a neurotypical student, with little accommodation or consideration given to his special needs.

The first semester was good. My son took well to the transition and enjoyed online homeschool. He started to finally feel safe and was able to learn. The class size was maybe about 15, not 10-12 as promised.

The second semester was horrible. Even larger class size. I’d see maybe 18-20 kids on camera. My son had a few issues where his impulsiveness and executive function disorder caused him to make some mistakes when messaging friends outside of class time.

After an incident in November, they told us he couldn’t log into his online class until they decided his punishment. He missed 5 days of school while they decided. 5 days. He missed more class while they decided what his punishment for the infraction would be then his punishment would have lasted in other schools.

They sent me an email with their decision with a punishment that seemed way to harsh. Weeks of more missed class while he went through their remediation process, for which they were going to charge us more money. It didn’t make sense so we requested a call.

The main administrator promised to call us, was 30 minutes late, then only talked to us for 5 minutes, giving very poor answers to our questions before she had to take a “very important call” and hung up. That was the last we heard from anyone at the school.

We asked for my son’s transcripts a month ago and still they have not provided them, they say the request is being processed under their standard process and timelines, if that tells you anything about how they operate.

Oh and this review has been edited to add that they also contacted me about this review and said that they would sue for defamation and/ or include sensitive information in their reply if I didn’t remove it.

It’s now been over 2 months since my son attended classes. I have asked repeatedly for his transcripts so I can get him in the right classes in his new school. They still have not finished them.

If your student has no issues, great. Should you actually need assistance, don’t expect to receive it.

My grandson was with Brilliant Microschools for over 2years; it was an amazing experience for my grandson; Jeffrey his tutor was amazing how patient he was with him. He never lost his cool and was always very professional; if my grandson would ever return to Brilliant; I would definitely would use Jeffrey; one of the reasons that I left my grandson was because how Jeffrey was with him. Amazing experience.

We have worked with Molly. She is great. CS has a great response time.

my daughter is shy and very picky but she met wonderful math tutor!! we have to take some breaks but definitely will be back when she is ready! brilliant grades's stuffs are very helpful and supportive in many ways. i highly recommend you brilliant grades !!!

Brilliant Microschool teachers provide a positive online learning environment that is unique to each individual student. Ms Jennifer was ‘on it’ - spoke kindly, respectfully and use positive regard when working with our son while still holding him accountable to complete work. Naturally there are hiccups when first transitioning to any new school, however the benefits our son received far outweighed any minor challenges. We completed a year of school, utilized the support of the summer school program and have just completed math tutoring with Matthew. Our son made social connections that support his unique area of interest & has even asked to return for summer school support.

What made experience great is ms Emily is very patient with my son and understand him.
She is a great teacher. Keep up the good work.

My son is in 9th grade and started in August of this year.
It's been really good so far.
I am noticing an improvement in his mood and motivation. He is not very very social yet. He is quite shy. Although he does participate in 2 electives and afternoon clubs. He's made 2 friends and is happy to join every morning. We're looking forward to a filed trip in North Florida like the ones in Texas and SF!

I initially loved the teacher and curriculum at Brilliant Micro School, but unfortunately, the lack of parent support and administrative response was a significant disappointment. Despite voicing multiple concerns, particularly about classroom disruptions and inappropriate topics being introduced, no principal or any other administrative figure has reached out to address my experiences to this day. I reached out several times, hoping for solutions, but received little support or response from parent administration. It’s clear they are not committed to providing a constructive learning environment or to addressing parental concerns.

Hi! My son is in 10th grade and this is our second year. He has learning disabilities, anxiety and adhd. I feel like I should be a spokesperson at this stage because this was the best decision we’ve ever made. I’m not even sure he needs his anxiety medication anymore. He’s finally in an environment where his teacher “gets him”. Other kids have similar experiences and the learning is tailored to their needs. His teacher said she’s not sure what he's more proud of: my son's social-emotional or academic progress!

Joseph has been tutoring my daughter with coding and computing for a very long time and he has kept her engaged and she looks forward to her lessons each week.

Literally life changing for our family. My daughter (ADHD, autism, anxiety) joined 9th grade at BMS last November. I do wish we'd found BMS a few years ago. It would have saved us so much distress. She's now loving school instead of resisting as she was doing for the past 9 years.
