Really bad service still I am waiting…

Really bad service still I am waiting for 1 order that I ordered 1 month ago, my little one is still missing part of her uniform because this company is playing to be outstanding when is not, what a shame. tottally dissapointed.

Poor customer service and being punished for ordering late due to late offer for school

So my child was offered a space on 30th August for his school after being on the waiting list. I ordered 31st August and many pop up boxes to expect delivery mid -late September and a rather rude statement in BOLD that you shouldn’t contact Brigade Clothing until that time has passed if you haven’t received your order. It is now 2nd October and I still have not received my order. I still have not had a follow up email from customer service (considering I sent an email on 29th September got a response that they are sorry about the delay and will get back to me).
I have a very big impression that they must think parents/guardians who have ordered post the July cut off date are all incompetent so deserve to be left waiting no matter how long for their child’s uniform. I have never experienced customer service like it from the rather petty messages all over the website up to the distasteful way the first line in their automated email response is- about don’t call reception they can’t help you.

Considering this is the first time I’ve had to use them it’s been all around disappointment. I did not delay ordering my child’s uniform, my child didn’t get a space in the school until 3 days before the new school year started, but now it’s been well over a month and still no uniform. My child is 4 and he asks every 2 days when his tie and jumper will be here because all his friends have one- what a shame that you pay all this money for uniform and get standoffish announcements on the website and poor customer service.

We are very sorry to hear you are not happy with our service. We are still experiencing a high volume of orders which has unfortunately caused a slight delay delay but are working hard to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible and understand your child's uniform is being dispatched today.

Due to the thousands of orders received during a short space of time (over the summer period) we are required to implement deadline date for delivery before the start of term and pre deadline orders have to be first priority and then the priority is in order of week by week post deadline.

I have reviewed your email enquiry to our customer service inbox and see your first contact with us was Sunday 29/09 and a member of the team responded on Monday 30/09. We appreciate your frustration with not being able to call through your enquiry, however we do always respond to emails within 24 hours (apart from weekends when we are closed).

We do often have parents of late admissions or special circumstances contact us after ordering asking for a faster delivery and we always do our best to help these parents where possible. Had you of contacted us earlier advising your child's late admission I assure you we would have done the same for you.

Once again I am very sorry for the delay and the distress this has caused.

Really bad service

Really bad service, they take too long for deliver your order. I ordered at the end of August, and I am still waiting. So please if you find another shop where you can get the uniforms and all the stuff that you need then just go there, don’t use this company they offer really bad service.

We are very sorry you are not happy with our delivery lead times. We appreciate they do seem long, however this is due to the bespoke nature of our garments and the thousands of orders being processed during a short period of time over the summer break and into September.

We do try to manage our customers expectations by implementing an order deadline date for delivery before the start of term. All schools are notified of this from March and parents who have registered or previously ordered from us are notified from late May/early June.

However, we are sometimes asked for help from parents who have ordered post deadline and we do always try to assist where possible.

We see from our records your order has now been delivered and do ask that you look out for our deadline information next year.

Great clothes and service!

My boys have found the clothes soft and comfortable. I experienced a problem with seams coming loose, customer services were really helpful and are sending a replacement. A great service!

Absolutely disgusted with brigade

Absolutely disgusted with brigade! First they mess up my order which was placed in July so should have been plenty of time for them to send it out in time for my child returning to school in September when I’m finally did arrive literally just in time for his return to school it was incomplete! I complained and they stated that if I reorder they would send out a faster delivery…here we are a month later and still nothing!!!! I wish I didn’t have to use this company but have no choice as it’s the only place I can get his uniform from. My advise would be if you can get your uniform from somewhere else definitely take that option. Considering this is children’s uniforms which they have to have this company is absolutely useless for sending out items l! My son still has no jumpers! THANKS BRIGADE 😡

5 stars for Jackie at Brigade!

My daughter starts school tomorrow and I made a massive blunder in buying tons of white blouses for her uniform along with the rest and was smug about being fully prepped. The smile was wiped off when I was going through the list to double check everything yesterday and realised the tops are exclusively jade green polos, no white shirts, and obviously they just had to be sold out everywhere. Brigade had them available so I called them begging to be able to just collect the tops as the lead time is currently 21 days. I spoke to Jackie who was so kind, called the managers and okayed my collection. She told me to place the order online to generate an order number and let her know when I have done, then she texted me back letting me know I can collect. Only thing is they didn’t waive the delivery fee but I honestly couldn’t care less, I was just grateful to have the tops ready for school tomorrow! All this in the space of an hour. Thank you so much guys!

Quality is appalling for clothing ordered

Quality of book bag is good and it appears that they’ve sorted out their previous summer delays. However, the sweatshirt ordered was like cardboard. Almost fully synthetic. Composition of the clothing on the website wasn’t shown…. I now know why as I’d never buy an item with such little cotton (30%) for school. I purchased a second hand cardigan from the PTA -50% cotton this time. Slightly better than the sweatshirt, but M&S is half the price and the quality is far better. To be fair Primark and Asda are far better. When clothing is so cheap to produce in the quantities they’d need, I think there’s no excuse for such poor quality items and high prices. I’ll be buying from the supermarkets and high street from now on and I’m thankful that our school is relaxed about school logos.

We are very sorry to read your review of Brigade and our products. I have checked your order details from the number provided and also checked for any correspondence from your email address and can only find the one order from this year and no correspondence from you this year or last year expressing any concerns regarding quality. Furthermore, every year we attend a meeting at the school where parents can view the uniform and ask any questions directly to a member of our team.

Our sweatshirts selected for your child's pre-school are from our acrylic range and were chosen by the school because of their hard wearing, long lasting and dye-fast qualities. Whereas your preferred cotton rich garments can be (as known industry wide) less durable than acrylic. Furthermore, our garments are bespoke with your child's school logo and for this reason will be more expensive that plain sweatshirts sold on the high street.

I assure you we have no quality issue with our sweatshirts and have used this particular garment myself with my own children and found they lasted so well, I was able to hand down to my younger child and then again onto family.

If you had contacted our customer services team with your concerns they would have helped you and sourced you an alternative cotton rich garment, but unfortunately I cannot see any record of any contact from you.

A month minimum for an order

Ordered uniforms on the 6th July(on a saturday as they said it's going to be processed quicker) .1st of August no uniform.
Starting secondary in Sept and stressed that if the uniforms don't fit,no time for another order.
A WHOLE month for some uniform is unheard of.They have embroidery machines and they alredy know the schools that they are providing uniforms to,it's not like they need to put individual names on them.
On the 3rd it's the 21st working day and I doubt it will arrive as I have no communication from them since 6th of July when I placed the order
Can't go in holiday Can't plan anything,just wait for an uniform

We at Brigade pride ourselves on giving the best possible service and support to our customers, but it can be more difficult to keep customers up to date especially at this time of year.

I have checked our support inbox and cannot find any communication from you regarding your order or your concern over delivery and booking a holiday. We regularly receive requests during this time of year to hold or fast track orders because of upcoming/planned holidays and do our best to accommodate them where possible, and would have done the same for you if you had given us the opportunity to.

Excellent service

Really happy with everything about my experience with Brigade. They were brilliant from start to finish in helping me resolve an issue with an order I had placed (I had made a mistake on sizing). They went out of their way to help me resolve this at what I realise is one of their busiest periods. Me and my son are very grateful 😊

Not all costs are upfront. Hidden VAT on some items.

Poor website and checkout display. Beware that tax is added on at the end so the price items appear may not be the price that you pay. Especially irritating as the items are already expensive relative to the high street but you can't choose to buy elsewhere. Please do better.

We are sorry you are not happy with our website process and the separate VAT charges. We do try to be as transparent as possible with regards to the added VAT and where it is applicable it does state +VAT next to the sizes.

Unfortunately we are unable to respond to your comments regarding the charges in comparison to the high street because we do not know which school you have ordered for. However, the majority of compulsory uniform for our schools are embroidered bespoke garments, which do tend to be a little more expensive than the high street. Furthermore our garments are made with quality fabrics to ensure they last longer than the majority of high street products.

⭐ Amazing customer service ⭐

Amazing customer service from Brigade. Acacia massively put herself out for me on multiple fronts and I couldn't be more grateful.

My big bundle of uniform arrived this morning and I'm incredibly impressed with the quality of it all too. Really sturdy, hard-wearing feel to the items, even my 5 year old son is going to be pushed to wreck these.

Brigade clothing have exceeded all my…

Brigade clothing have exceeded all my expectations.
With a last minute school move at half term; I placed an order and made contact to explain our urgent position. Brigade assisted our position without hesitation and we have received a full order in time for the new term. I appreciate the effort to enable this and my children are most grateful to be starting a new school in new uniform.
Communication was above and beyond and I can only highly recommend this company.

Rugby Blazers

After looking for school blazers for our rugby team, we found brigade through a recommendation. Emma was extremely accommodating and fast to reply to any questions/ queries. We then had an example promptly delivered which was perfect so we could then order a larger quantity, of which we needed prior a specific date, and it was delivered with plenty of time to spare, quality service and quality products, would highly recommend.
