A notch above the rest …

I have been working alongside different estate agents as I am looking for a property to buy.
The service here is just amazing. I met Maia who was very efficient at showing me around the property no pressure was applied as soon as she knew I was looking for something else. Instead she asked what exactly I was after then proceeded to send me details of the exact homes that I would like to purchase.
I spoke to Ben by phone and again the service stands out as being one of if not the best I have come across.
I feel valued even although I am aware that they have many clients to look after but it does not feel that way.
I highly recommend using this company as they obviously know how to recruit GOOD people!

From a house buyer point of view

As a house buyer, i have had nothing but help and advice from the lovely Bridges’ staff in looking for a new home, from both Aldershot and Ash Vale offices. I would have no hesitation in using them, or recommending them to someone else, when selling a property.

Thanks to Ben for his prompt response and his initiative to include a second home to our search. He seemed to have covered all the bases and was familiar with both properties that we saw. We were impressed with the up to date information that he provided for both park homes. Helpful, energetic and friendly, he is a great asset to your company.

Valuation

I had a valuation on my flat from Terry and he was brilliant!
Very knowledgeable and positive from the moment he walked in and was extremely approachable and friendly.
He even let my 2 year old son draw all over his paperwork to keep him happy.

Very efficient and informative

Dan at Bridges who is dealing with sales in the Sandhurst, Berkshire area was extremely helpful and efficient in coming over to value my property. He gave me some very useful information in regards to the sales process and on the valuation itself. Should I come to sell, then I shall definitely be giving Dan a shout. Callum on the letting team also popped by to give me all the information I needed, should I decide to rent the property out and again he was extremely helpful and informative too.

SCAMMERS STAY AWAY

Would not give even 1 star but forced to give one star. These guys are so pathetic that one can’t imagine. I rented through them for 2 year but when I get any problem or something, they simply told me to contact landlord directly as they are not managing the property. Later the the end of tenancy, they were not telling me who has got my deposit. They alway told me over the phone that landlord has deposit. When I emailed them for official record, then they replied that they have the deposit. Also they kept asking landlord to increase the rent even when he did not wanted to. In addition, at the end of tenancy, they came for the deductions for wall paint which is fair but when I started renting, first 2 days was without electricity and only thing they did back then was to say to contact landlord. When it’s about taking money, they are at front and when it’s about fixing the stuff or information, they simply says to go to landlords. Last but not least, I had emails telling them with landlord ccd in that please put notice period to 1 month which landlord agreed on email but sent me the extension without notice period. I had all email to prove that it was agreed that notice period was 4 weeks but they was so unprofessional tone to say that I signed the contract no matter what emails said. Landlord was good he was fine with notice as he agreed and aware but these bridges guys were just forcing me not to leave. Pathetic pathetic and Parhetic! STAY AWAY FROM THEM AS A USER THATS ALL I CAN SAY.

Firstly, we have tried to reach out to you to explain the lettings process and to clarify the nature of our involvement with the property you rented. As outlined at the beginning of your tenancy, the property was not fully managed by Bridges. Instead, it was a tenant-find and rent collect property, which means our role was to find a suitable tenant for our client and collect your rent. The management of the tenancy, including maintenance and day-to-day issues, was handled directly by the landlord.

Regarding your concerns about the deposit handling and communication, we want to assure you that we provided all necessary paperwork at the start of your tenancy. This documentation included details on where your deposit was held and outlined the process for its return. We strive to ensure transparency and clear communication with all our tenants from the outset – we understand that the type of tenancy can be confusing to tenants who do not understand the rental process fully – which is why our team have tried to reach out to explain, while frustrating for you they were out of our control.

We would love the opportunity to show you what our fully managed service is like. If you are in a position of looking for a new rental in the future, please reach out and enquire about our fully managed properties that we have available.

Great service

Prompt reply to my e mail. Had a chat on the phone and booked a home valuation visit. Leo arrived bang on the appt time and was very polite, knowledgeable and confident to answer my questions and offer useful advice

A real disappointment

A real disappointment! Bridges lettings…Inspection reports 5 months late = 1 last year . Last one done in January after 16:19pm hence Garden in darkness not revealing over 100 weeds! House not ventilated properly absolutely disgusting. That could have been sorted before end of Tenancy, however Tenant not told to sort out , apparently I should have flagged up the problems, however I am not the Property Manager and don’t get paid to be one! 5 tiles on floor damaged under mat not lifted, revealing it at checkout! Paying for a service and not getting it !due to staff shortages .Hard to speak to the person who manages the Property and put through to alternative local offices for the person who answers to try for you ! How to waste a good half an hour each time . So when you move to another agent… expect zero support thereafter and have your emails and v mails ignored . Not copied in with reference numbers and copied and pasted emails from the Tenant put into RED ink ? How rude ! Inspection report due but asking for a repair to fan integrated into the ceiling as broken but not inspected. Expecting a professional to call and fix something that is NOT broken for £80 call out , not once but twice . No faults found at checkout! So glad it’s over , what an awful way to run a business. The Electricity provider was given the incorrect final reading by BRIDGES and we have had 3 letters of an account in arrears to the tune of £174 . On phone trying to sort that out taking time out of my day ! What a shambles . This was costing us £100 per month !Not asked why we have moved on so , here it is ! If we had been treated better why would we move to another agent ! There would have been no need .Not copied in on all offers for damages and what was forwarded copied and pasted in RED. High turnover of different Managers looking after Property 4 in total .Would not of given any Stars but had to, to leave a review.

Move support

We had Connor Churchill as our move support. And what great support he was! Our sellers solicitors were horrific and connor dealt with our daily emails and concerns without hesitation. Never felt like a burden or we couldn’t ask a question and knew we would always get the same day response!

Only One Viewing - Platinum Homes

Update - We are 17 weeks in to our 20 week contract and have given notice of termination of contract. The negative points are:
After signing the contract they almost imediately said we had to reduce the price (the price was their valuation) without the benefit of any feedback from viewings.
They said the price of our property was based on the square footage (and that felt like our Grade 2 listed cottage was being compared to a warehouse) with no other added value considered?
They didn't seem to know anything about Grade 2 listed buildings and types of thatched roof - we felt we had to train them.
We had to update the photographs using our own camera and tripod. We asked them to do it but they kept making excuses. We asked them to remove the old outside photos but they only removed some of them. They just didn't seem to understand the difference between a garden in winter and in full bloom in spring.
We did not receive a copy of the brouchure after numerous times of asking - we still haven't got one.
We tried to give them a key - they said "what's this for? Can't you hide it in the garden?"
It is certainly not a platinum service, they only do something when you make a fuss (like post a one star Trust Pilot review).
Currently 26% of their TrustPilot reviews are 1 star.

Awful customer service

I have had 2 experiences with Bridges. Both of which were overwhelmingly negative.

My first contact was around 15 months ago for a rented property. We viewed the property and decided to go ahead with proceeding as it ticked all of the boxes.

I spent the next week chasing up the estate agent asking for updates about whether we were going to be considered as we needed to move out of our current accommodation within the next few weeks. After upwards of 10 calls to bridges and being told ‘the lenders are still considering you and 1 other party’ , I was eventually told by someone that I had never spoken to before that the landlord had decided to go with someone who had offered to pay 1 year upfront, something which they had known about 5 days prior and we were in fact never in the running for the property.

We then managed to secure another rental through bridges. On the day that we picked up the keys we had to travel out of area to pick them up. When we arrived at Bridges we were told that no one had informed the staff at the branch that we were due to pick up any keys and we had to wait for the staff to call the Hook branch to confirm that we were actually able to pick the keys up. Since being in the property it has been largely pain free and any issues I have just gone through directly to the landlord.

My second and most recent experience with Bridges has been through the attempted purchase of a property. During this time I have been in contact with 4 different estate agents all of which are based at different branches. Correspondence with them has been difficult as I would ask a question to 1 person, only for that question not to be passed on to the other person and me having to go through the process again of trying to get an answer on something (most of the time I didn’t get an answer and I was told ‘I will find out and get back to you’)

I also put in concerns about some issues that came up in the survey and asked that the seller either address them or consider a reduction in asking price so that we could address them when we moved into the property.

I raised this 3 weeks ago and had been told multiple times by Bridges ‘I will get back to you on X date’ never happened.

After 8 weeks with very limited communication and when I did get any correspondence, it was ‘things are going as planned’. I decided to take matters into my own hands as our solicitors had received no information back from the sellers solicitors (something which I had raised to the move coordinator multiple times). I chased the branch manager, Kevin, to find out what was going on. After he spoke to one of the sellers he found out there there was a dispute between the 2 sellers and that it didn’t look likely that it would be rectified. So after 2 months of believing our purchase would go through, it transpired that there had been an issue that had been ongoing for months and this hadn’t been picked up.

I question why correspondence only went through 1 of the sellers, as this was picked up as soon as contact was made with the second seller.

After a further conversation with Bridges about where we go from there, I was told to ‘just let it go’ and also ‘the sellers other property sale is completing today’. Both statements are really not helpful the day of hearing of your property purchase falling through. I then didn’t receive any further correspondence from them until 2 weeks later, where we finally got it in writing that the sale had been cancelled.

This process cost us over £2000 and was deeply frustrating. I have very little nice things to say about this company, from awful viewings whereby the estate agent knew nothing about the property, to poor processes of liaising with the sellers to ascertain what was causing the delay.

Since this, we have found a property that we love and have nearly completed the purchase of this with an estate agents that we have found to be incredibly helpful and person centred. Quite the opposite of what my partner and I have experienced with Bridges.

Prompt and great

Very prompt response in every aspect such as marketing and viewings . Certainly more viewings of our property are warranted imminently for it to sell at the earliest . Hope Bridges will keep up to their reputation of quick sales and won’t disappoint us .

Awful experience with Bridges Estate Agents

Awful experience with Bridges Estate Agents having applied and been accepted for a shared ownership property. Subsequent applicants were permitted to queue jump. Complained, not resolved and then abandoned with no further subsequent service provided. Recommend avoid so as not to be very disappointed.

We would like to send our appreciation to Enzo Seaman for all the help that he has given us with buying our house. We initially met
Enzo by Bridges Agency, when buying our new property and he was welcoming, professional, and treated us with utmost kindness. He provided us with a seamless tour through the property and detailed all the factors regarding the house with an inspiring enthusiasm and passion. After buying our new house of 17 years renting we had no doubt that we would appreciate Enzo's services again. This was our first property that we have bought, and despite the process being quite new to us, Enzo was yet again organised, kind and truthful. He guided us in the right direction, by giving us a fair feedback start with mortgage, solisitors, insurer etc. Overall, we strongly believe that Enzo is hardworking and diligent, and has been a great help to us. From our heart Thank you so much for all your help.

Catastrophic customer service without any competence

I have a situation that I need to share with you. I saw a property with an agency (based in Basingstoke) and we booked an appointment to see another one. The first time we saw the property, the lady wasn't competent and didn't have any knowledge about the property. Furthermore, no one called us back or asked for any feedback about the property.

The second time, we booked an appointment to view the property on the same day it was added to the market. The agency cancelled our appointment through voicemail and requested us to call back to book another appointment. I called back within 5 minutes, but the guy who answered didn't have any knowledge of the available appointment and promised to call back with a new appointment.

The next morning, we received a text message with the new appointment, but within few minutes, somebody called and said the property had been sold. I feel that this is not fair play. We did not have any chance to look at the property or give any offer.

I feel that this company has a catastrophic customer service without any competence.
