I would give zero stars
Brent council are the worst council ever. Housing officers never get back to you, you are not allowed to talk to the department you need on the phone, you must leave a message and it will be relayed to the department on your behalf and half the time the department dont know anything about it. If you call the rents or council tax team you get through straight away which I find hilarious and you can talk to the department you need. I think that might be to do with Brent council getting your money. This council is s absolute joke.

The Brent Council need to be investigated
The Brent Council is one of the HEARTLESS and LAZY offices in UK. And they are absolute professionals in bringing reasons why they did not follow up on complaints / calls, pretending busy or that the complaint was in-complete, etc. They did not follow up on any of my noise complains about the famous loud music by white van RK07LDA at Craven Park Rd and black van SE55ZDP, and the religious guy shouting with microphone every Wednesday for 3 hours as if this is war zone, and loud music at night by One Shop Caribbean restaurant. I have all case numbers I reported to police and council, but Brent Council just don't care. No wonder this is the worst area to live in London. What breaks my heart is not even for myself, there is a poor black guy at High Street who might have psychological problems too and I feel so bad for him, he sits in the street every night until 3am in the cold winter until the Mosque opens to have a warm place to sleep, he sits behind the door of the flat that he thinks court has taken from him, and it just breaks my heart that nobody in Brent council does not do anything to help this poor guy. I am so happy to leave this area.

Unfortunately there is nothing good I can tell about this council, except of the workers who has nothing to do with how this council is bureaucratic... Residents are paying the highest council tax here, as well as roadtax in the poverty zone!!! So ultimately if you are poor, they will make you poorer! Responding times are appealing also, if you can reach them at all! Any council has available resources for a standard peaceful life and mental health. Why is that asking for standard life quality living conditions (encouraging maintained buildings and clean, pest free atmosphere in any kind of sectors,) need to be pushed to get? Isn't it beneficial for the green footprint as less chemicals and less petrol would be used to reduce emissions? Thats a balancing reward you should implement!

Why is it that the gtass and the upkeep of the Harrow side at Carpenders Park cemetery is maintained, but the Brent side is overgrown and shabby. Brent are very quick to charge high fees for doing nothing to put a plaque down. Come on Brent council have some respect for our loved ones and cut the grass!
Recruitment team/bad customer service
Poor customer service, the recruitment team is unprofessional , I got interviewed twice, one asked for my phone number ? When they already have it? And said they will call me back in 2 days, they didn’t. Second interview, the lady said I have all the qualifications and the experience and that she wants me on board and that I got the job. She said I will get an email or another phone call to confirm it. Nobody got back to me, and I emailed back, I finally got a response blaming the pandemic. And still no response to my job offer. A lady from Brent council told me she got a job there because she knew ppl there! She had no qualification or any experience! Unprofessional council! So it’s all about who u know !
I called council tax in Brent…
I called council tax people in Brent Council for help twice and was on hold for a while, after they picked up they couldn't be bothered to talk, she asked me to send an email and she hanged up straight away, the lady was so rude and the customer service is so bad. I. have sent many emails and haven't even gotten a response yet. I have noticed most people they hire for Brent have no degrees and no manners. and no experience as they always seem to be unsure.
Appalling customer service
I called concerning a Housing benefits overpayment the customer service lady kept me on hold for 30mins ridiculous! Also to add on , I know people are working from home but Half the time these Brent customer service advisors sound half asleep and disinterested in our issues .

Labour run my landlord Brent council rogue landlord Wates poor workmanship Craig Hallsworth S-------- write in connection with the events of **/**/** which I witnessed together with my mother Ka ####, both residents of the property at -- Ravensworth Road.
This is going back 4 years now but what stand up was the rude behaviour of the workers and the racist remarks from the builders and the worse from the person coordinating the works, Mr Paul Brennon. I also recall this being videoed by one of the workers who left as soon as Mr Brennon tried to force past Mr Hanifin pushing him out of the way to get into his property. Who then took himself to a neighbour’s at the end of the road sitting in front of the house laughing and drinking cups of tea and when he came back and Mr Hannifin asked why you have this hold against me he called Mr Hanifin an orange basta_d for the horror of my mum who was standing beside him and got very upset with the remark.
He then accused my elderly mother of putting wholes in Mr Hanifin’s roof which was hilarious and till this day there is still a piece of scaffolding attached to our chimney from 4 year ago which is now leaking in my roof.
Not an adequate service by Brent Council
This is a genuine review, I am not an "invited" review.
I am a leaseholder on in NW2 London along Willesden Lane, Brent Council are the freeholder. Brent seem to continually make mistakes with the service charge, major works and caretaking. Very disappointing service levels, well below adequate.
