THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND "CANCEL"

I cancelled my subscription two months before the next shipment was due. On that day, they went ahead and shipped out the next 6 months worth of product that wasn't even supposed to ship for two more months. That's how disgustingly dirty they are. And the product itself seems worthless. They have no idea who they've ticked off, but they will. STAY AWAY FROM THIS WORTHLESS COMPANY.

Any company that doesnt allow for instant cancelation options on subscriptions is unethical and the practice should be outlawed! Give you money to someone better than this, total BS!

Never received my product and tried reaching the company multiple times. This was a different company a month ago with the same email address for orders. They have not responded and I have not received my product for over a month. Reporting to BBB and disputing charges.

Shady practices

Shady practices. It makes NO sense that you can easily suscribe, pause or swap but can't cancel. You need to call and no one answers, and while you wait you are getting a ~7m recording of "doctor" Amen propaganda just for you to lose time. After 7m they tell you no one is available. I've called several times already.

The people wanting to improve their brain are the people who struggle with these kind of things that require uncomfortable and annoying steps. They are not only a scam but purposely hurting and cashing out on disabilities.

Edit: After I called several times, emailed and posted this review I did get my subscription cancelled. 1-3 days later I got a call to tell me they've cancelled and to talk about this review. They say they are planning on implementing a cancel subscription. I have been subscribed for more than a year and a year ago I tried to unsubscribe too and it has been more than a year that they have not implemented it.

I work on web development for a living, my students know how to do this functionality. Cancelling a subscription is easier to implement than subscribing, pausing and WAY easier than swapping products. Not allowing to cancel a subscription online is a choice brainmd is making.

Super happy with the products

Super happy with the products

Last year I taught on a native reserve. It was incredibly isolating and lacked anything that makes life fun and meaningful (like family, friends, doctors, restaurants etc.) Needless to say, I came back home traumatized, depressed and anxious. For awhile I thought I would never feel like myself again. That is until I tried Dr. Amen's supplements. I take em and forget em. And then I check in how I'm feeling (which is something I do everyday.) Something amazing has happened since taking them. I feel happy! I feel myself again. I do what makes me happy again. I feel back to me. I feel comfortable in my own skin again. This feeling is priceless! What a great christmas gift to myself. Thank you Dr. Amen and your team!

Bad Business Practices

I ordered a BrainMD product believing it was a one-time purchase, only to find out later that I had been automatically placed into a subscription without my clear consent. Now I may still face unexpected charges, since canceling requires speaking directly with a customer service representative. Unfortunately, no one has answered my calls—I’ve only been able to leave voicemails and submit messages through their website, with no response so far.

Overall, the cancellation process has been frustrating and unnecessarily time-consuming. The lack of transparency from customer service left me feeling misled. While the supplements themselves might work for some people, the company’s billing practices have caused me to lose trust. I strongly urge anyone considering BrainMD to carefully review the checkout process and watch out for pre-selected or hidden subscription options.

Amen Clinic is great, but BrainMD is shady

Amen Clinic is amazing, but BrainMD is crazy shady. I had a subscription that I cancelled for two years. I even deleted my credit card from their website. One morning I woke up and got a thank you for your order email for something I did not order. It turned out they resumed my subscription without my consent for no reason after two years. I contacted them immediately and they still sent out the first order and refused to refund. I had to mail a product I never purchase in the first place back. It's a complete fraudulent practice from their side. They customer service could not give me a straight answer how it happened. They only said my subscription was on pause for one year. But I didn't get anything for two years. There's nothing on their website that says my subscription was paused and will be active ever again in the future either. Do yourself a favor by staying away from BrainMD. They'll abuse your credit card and refuse to provide a refund.

I got my saffron x6 packs from the website. It came as a huge surprise to find my tracking number was coming from china.
I wish they would be transparent about where they make their supplements. I want to see certificates. Supplements can contain harmful things in them - especially if there is no oversight.

I contacted their customer service and didn’t get any reply. Contacted different email address and crickets… I can’t believe I got scammed!

Not super easy to cancel!

I was able to very easily subscribe on this website for recurring delivery. However, I am required to call during business hours to cancel the subscription. I am not impressed! I feel such practices are not in the customer's best interests and am very unlikely to do business with them again.

So far, pretty good! The main reason I give 4 stars is I'm…

The main reason I give 4 stars is I'm feeling better taking their supplements and although it is definitely expensive (ridiculously if you don't buy when they're on sale or have a coupon or subscription), it's cheaper than buying all these ingredients separately. Example: I can get GABA anywhere but not with the extra stuff BrainMD puts in theirs, like B6, Magnesium Malate, Magnesium bisglycinate, lemon balm extract and L-Theanine. Also, I don't think I'd be buying from Brain MD if I hadn't made the decision to invest in an ADHD assessment at Amen Clinics. Recovering from ADHD is important enough to me and I'm uneducated about it (newly diagnosed) so Amen's books, clinics, and supplements have been worth it to me. A few years from now, after experimenting with other supplements I may go off some of the ones I buy here if I cant tell the difference but for now I'm pretty happy. Different ADHD types need different brain chemicals to feel better (see Healing ADD by Daniel Amen), so me personally, I wouldn't just take guesses about what to buy on Brain MD without first reading the above book and (ideally) getting assessed by the Amen Clinics to determine which type of ADD you have.

They tricked me into a difficult to cancel subscription

This BrainMD associated with Amen Clinics (and owned by Dr. Amen) seems like it is designed to trick you into buying their supplements (only $400 per month(?)). I thought I was buying a 'one time' order and instead found out they put me on their monthly subscription service. And - the ONLY way to cancel it is if you call them during their office hours. I could not remove my credit card info either. TERRIBLE. AVOID. A company with any morals would not be doing business this way.

I have purchased many of the products…

I have purchased many of the products throughout the last 5 to 7 years. I am so glad to see the line of supplements have continue to increase. I have seen a remarkable difference the way my brain performs as a result of the supplements. I do work with a naturopath and a medical doctor to get labs done periodically to make sure I am doing well. I also take breaks from the supplements twice a week and vary what I am taking. I am very pleased with brainMD products and will continue to take. Brain health is not an easy fix. It takes work from supplements. exercise, mindfulness, breathwork and therapy or coaching.

DECEPTIVE Subscription practices

Some very good products, however, if you want the best price you must subscribe for automated deliveries. BEWARE they will make you call to cancel during their operating hour. Super annoying. Dr. Amen is a Christian with deceptive business practices, very disappointed. All other companies you can simply cancel online.

Some people who've taken 5-HTP supplements have developed a serious condition called eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome (EMS). It can cause blood abnormalities and excessive muscle tenderness.

It's not clear whether EMS is caused by an accidental contaminant or by 5-HTP itself. Keep this in mind when deciding whether 5 HTP is right for you.

There are other minor possible side effects of taking 5-HTP supplements. Discontinue use !!!!!

The test results led me astray

I took the test to see which supplements I needed for my memory. The test results recommended the blue and white box called, "Brain and Body Power." I really didn't have the money but I want to have a better memory so much, I decided to trust them. After I took all the supplements and didn't feel any better, I called them. They said well most of it is a multivitamin and there is only a small amount of the ingredient for memory, and that I could buy a specific supplement for memory only. I was so disappointed. A hundred plus dollars is a lot of money for a multivitamin. I don't think I'll ever trust this company again.

TRUTHFUL REVIEW

Let me start with the supplement called TRYOSINE . I have a condition called Trichotillomania which is hair pulling, and profuse nail biting, I got this supplement in hopes that it would help me with the fact that I can't focus and I'm tired all the time in my brain. WELL LET ME TRLL YOU SOMETHING!!! I am shocked and delighted with the results of this supplement. I have only taken it for a month, but it has done wonders for me, I have been a hair puller since the age of 12 starting with eyelashes and eyebrows, and then I moved to the hair on my head when I was 21. I am now 64 and have struggled with it for years..... Since taking the supplement have NO URGE TO PULL HAIR OR BITE NAILS. My nails are long and lovely and my hair is growing in nice and thick. This is an honest to God TRUTHFUL REVIEW . I have taken other supplements with the brain Clinic and I like them but the TRYOSINE hits the mark all by itself. I thank God I kept trying until I found the one I really liked the best and the one I needed the most. I wish I could talk to Dr Daniel Amen myself and thank him. This has given me a huge relief if you don't have these conditions you'll never know how fantastic it really feels to be free
