Terrible customer service - they just take your money

Terrible customer service. I wish I’d read some of these reviews before giving my money to this company.

I have a missing order. Bozu is blaming DPD and DPD is blaming Bozu. My order never arrived. I’ve been waiting 2 days for it and no one is helping me. They’ve stopped replying to my emails and they have not called as I requested.

They’ve taken my money and even now they are closed until 5 January.

I would never recommend using this company which is a shame because the food is quite good. They are thieves. Give me my money back.

Bozu meal prep company service and food…

Bozu meal prep company service and food has blown my expectations.

Being with them now for 3-4 months it’s helped not only with my routine and health but saved me time which having busy lives is worth more than anything.

So if you looking for not just great food but to save time in your busy life then this is the company that delivers on food and service.

Can’t recommend enough

Pestered by marketing you didn’t sign up for

I googled a different meal prep company and this one was the first one that came up under those search terms, without the original company coming up, so I thought that might have changed names. I realised partway through the transaction Bozu was a different company that didn’t have great reviews so decided not to complete the transaction, and DID NOT consent to be sent any marketing.

Cue being pestered by marketing on calls and messages, and when I finally politely asked to exercise my rights under GDPR to have them not contact me, I got a sassy message from the person contacting me without my consent. They literally have no clue about customer service or data regulations. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Brilliant Food.

3rd week ordering my meals with bozu and I am really happy with the quality of the food. The subscription is really flexible and I have been able to have meals that fit my schedule. Jordan the customer service rep talked me through a meal set that would work with the type of weight training I do and I’m very happy with the results!

SCAM!! Be careful

After my first week, I decided to cancel. However, Bozu informed me that I would have to either pay back the discount for my first week or continue the plan for additional weeks. They didn’t send me my second shipment even though I paid for the whole week. This penalty was not clearly explained during sign-up, neither did I receive any agreement, and I feel it’s an unfair tactic that locks customers into a recurring plan under unclear terms. Despite their claims that this was outlined in their terms and conditions, I believe the lack of transparency is misleading, especially as they present the discounts as straightforward promotions.

Customer service repeatedly insisted that I pay extra if I want to cancel early. Reading through other reviews, I’ve noticed similar complaints, which suggests that this isn’t an isolated issue but rather a pattern.

Overall, if you’re considering Bozu, I’d advise caution and recommend not to subscribe. Trust the bad reviews and do not believe their replies to them!

I would not recommend

Overall I wouldn’t recommend this meal prep company. Portions are small, expensive for what they are, and poorly cooked. I have had a mix of both undercooked and near burnt food and customer service in my experience, has been horrendous.
There are better ones out there that are worth a shot. I would suggest you save your money, especially as you cannot cancel with immediate effect but they continue taking instalments for a good while after.

The food quality was disappointing

The food quality was disappointing, and the packaging was subpar for a meal prep company—very basic and not sealed, using regular containers available on Amazon. I notified them 12 days in advance that I didn’t want another order to avoid food waste, but they refused to offer a refund and will likely send food that would ultimately go to waste. The meals tasted homemade,dry, bland, bad.

Also, dishonesty, they tried to claim to Trustpilot that my review wasn't for the right business. I can't imagine how many reviews are not showing up because of this falsehood?

Meal Prep Galore!

If you're looking for a really good meal prep company, Bozu is one of the best there is. I'm not one to ever rely on meal prep companies but due to having several ongoing house projects, working full-time and having a lot of responsibilities, I was struggling to find time to sleep, let alone eat. I'm someone who works out 6 days a week too so training and nutrition are high priorities. Bozu helped alleviate the burden of food prep. It sounds silly, but just not having to think about food and what to prep, was a huge relief. To top it off, all meals are nutritious and delicious! So I was glad I didn't have time compromise on nutrition and taste. They offer a huge variety of meals which get delivered twice weekly (really fresh food) and the menu is in constant rotation so you'll never be bored! This was a short term thing for me but regardless, it was great and the customer service is brilliant too. They respond very quickly, professionally and are always very thorough/ detailed with their responses. Thanks Team Bozu!

Dont let you cancel dont bother

Tried out first week and found portions smaller and not worth the extorniate amount of charge so I gave them 7-days notice to cancel but i was nit allowed to do so, they want you chained to subscription ( this is not made clear on the main homepage/ when purchasing- that you have to complete 3 weeks apparently and now they're claiming four with me ). Emails and texts are still hounding me with offers despite myself no longer being affiliated with them/ interested in their products.
This company wants you to stay on their radar and not allow basic cancellation, which is a customer's right. They have the most anti-customer policies and FAQs hidden deep on their website, and they don't really try to help at all.
They take money out of your bank account, despite repeatedly begging to stop the food deliveries.
It was a long, overwhelming experience that would have never happened if I hadn't ordered based on an influencer ad. I'm sure the influencer wasn't treated like the majority of upset customers who actually paid our hard-earned money for this.

Update:

I am not sure why the company is asking the website to confirm whether this is a real review or not - do you think I woke up to leave a false review just for shits and giggles?

As clearly advertised on our website, you purchased a weekly recurring service which gave you 55% discount against your first week, after which, a 40% discount was applied to weeks 2 to 4 inclusive on the package offer you selected on the 17th of September 2024 and when you submitted your 7 days’ notice to cancel on the 23rd of September 2024 at 08.54am, this was duly acknowledged and accepted by us at 11.14am on the same day.
Contrary to what you may currently feel, we always remain open to your correspondence should you still be unsure of anything now that your meal plan with us has been cancelled as requested by you on week 2 of the meal plan you placed with us.

SCAMMERS!! BE CAREFUL

Hi all,
This people took money from my bank account illegally without my permission and now I’m waiting for them to refund and every single day are lying to me that I will get my money next day but never got the money back, they said that the refund is already proceeded but never got into my account and they promised that it will take maximum 2 days but again THEY ARE LYING , be careful they are scammers and I’m sure the 5 stars reviews are added by themselves, DON’T BUY from them, don’t get scammed like me!! THEY LEFT ME WITHOUT MONEY !!

Fantastic meal prep company! Highly recommended!

I have been enjoying my first month with Bozu! Amazing tasting meal options on their menu with low calories is helping me achieve my fitness goals while enjoying the taste my meals, and saving myself the hassle of cooking and cleaning. Food arrives securely packed, on time and undamaged with DPD, making the deliveries a smooth process. The customer support team and always responding promptly to any queries I have and they let you pause any deliveries with 3 days notice with no issues, allowing this to work around your lifestyle. So far this meal prep company has been very convenient and saved me a lot of time, highly recommend!

First week of meals delivered

First week of meals delivered. Have had 2 meals so far and they were both 10/10. Customer service was exceptional. Jordan went out of his way to respond to all my queries and to make sure I understand everything about my plan. Can see myself using Bozu for at least a year whilst I train towards my fitness goals.

Dealt with professionally after bad experience

I initially gave this company a 1 star review purely around the website not being up to scratch with 2024/competitors. However after leaving my review a member from the team called me and explained that as its a family run company they are still trying to get the website updated to include more felxible options and a better user experience which i can appreciate as these things take time and getting extra staff is not cheap. He also sounded genuinly sorry that i have had a bad experience and asked if there is anything at all they can do. While personally i will not be going back to them (maybe if they update policys down the line). I can appreciate the professionalism that has followed since my negative experience and wish them wellf. Also i would like to state/reiterate that my main issue was the subscription options and UI of the website only. EDIT - after trying more companies like this that are also family run with food just as good if not better. Really dont see any reason why bozu cant be better. 2 stars overall.

On the package offer on week one, we apply 55% discount, after which, 40% discount on weeks 2 to 4, which means our meals offer great value for money at only £4.50 on week 1, after which, on weeks 2 to 4 they are still only £6.00 per meal.
Customer service is one of our top priorities, and we are disappointed to learn that you had anything less than a stellar experience with us and we are sorry that our website did not offer you the flexibility you are accustomed to, however, as per all meal prep Companies we only require 3 days’ notice to pause any delivery, albeit this currently has to be done by email, along with 7 days’ notice to cancel any package offer.

Super super tasty balanced meals

I've been using Bozu for about a month and these are the nicest meal preps I've had so far. The food tastes home made but of good quality aswell and I look forward to all my meals now. I also have been eating less takeaways because I know I have lunch and dinner already made in the fridge waiting for me.

I also like the fact that I can choose as many of each meal as I like.
So if I find something I really like , I can go on the website and swap out other meals for whatever I'm loving at that time .

They are genuinely worth a try!
