Was in Boots Sligo recently. I got the feeling they must be closing down soon or something by how the staff acted so insanely. Needless to say I wont be back to endure the Madams there or their gross nonprofessional lack of competence. Good riddance Boots.
Took my money but did not send the product
I am not here to write a review, simply to explain my experience with Boots Ireland on line sales. It is up to the reader to decide whether this is useful or not.
I purchased a men,s Braun 9+pro shaver for €349.I paid my money and subsequently received a e mail to say that it would be delivered on a certain day. On that day my package arrived. I opened it to find that inside Boots Box was another box (Braun Shaver official box) sealed with a piece of sellotape both sides. I open it, only to find that it only contained a brush, a leaflet and a charger but NO shaver.(Brown box indicated that it came from Boots Dundrum Town Centre)
I contacted Boots Customer Care and was told to send images which I did within an hour of receiving the package. I received an e mail later to say that I would get a refund with 3-5 days, but first I would receive an e mail to say if they agreed or not to give me a refund. I did receive an e mail saying that I would not be getting a refund as they felt the goods were received by me. Obviously, I was not happy with this and so began an email to and fro for the next week. Each time they said my claim was not justified. I have just received another reply just now saying that there was nothing they were going to do.
On Saturday last (I thought I was getting a refund) went to Boots in Childers road in Limerick and purchased the shaver for the same amount. Interesting part was the box for the shaver was on display with no shaver inside. You had to hand it the assistant who then retrieved a box and shaver from their store room.
I explained all of this to Boots customer care but the reply was always the same. It was delivered to you with the shaver and your complaint has failed.
Bottom line is, I am exhausted from all of this and I would have expected better service from such iconic company such as Boots.
On saying I receive it and that my claim failed is saying that I am a liar and and a cheat.
I am giving up now, it has been the worse experience of my life .I will never ever buy from Boots both online or in any store, It is the worse customer service I have ever received.
I have lost €349, but it is not just the money, it is the total lack of empathy shown by Boots.

I made an online purchase over a week ago and its still says pending. When placing the order it said delivery by 19th February. It's now the 21st and I've no idea when or if they will decide to ship my order! There's no customer service no one to contact...so I'm just left in limbo. Obviously if I'd have known I would have just went to an outlet. I can tell you now I won't be near a boots going forward. Don't offer a service if you can't fulfill it?

Terrible floor manager
Terrible floor manager. Returned mascara that was dry and devoid of product. Bought it last week 26 euros Was extremely rude and didn’t understand the concept of a faulty product. She described herself as a manager !

I visited Boots Carlow and would like to say thank you to Sandy for the wonderful customer service I received last Saturday. Nothing was too much trouble and Sandy was so knowledgeable,pleasant and helpful a real asset to your company.
I am a regular customer
I am a regular customer approximately 5 years. Enough is enough! I cannot fault the staff and the pharmacist. The Customer service and care is exceptional. Prescription is never ready! Waiting time too long! I never receive texts to say that my prescription is ready. Shame on the senior management not providing adequate staffing levels to cater for the demand of their customers needs and care.There are plenty of other pharmacies in the area. Goodbye

I have no idea when I order items online that I get an email from Boots saying that a pharmacist has reviewed my order and removed items? There is a number to call the pharmacy for further information, which rings out, every time! ( called on eight different occasions…same result..nada! First time was shampoo, second time a face cream? Non prescription items!? There is no way now to telephone customer services so you have to email….received three emails so far, all from different people and none of them answering why my items were removed? Very frustrating and incredibly poor attempt at customer services. Perhaps it’s a language issue?
Customer service does not exist
I bought straighteners in Boots Greystones for my daughter. When she plugged it sparks came off the plug. On inspection it looked like an old broken straightener. When I brought it back to the shop the manager said very loudly in front of the entire shop that the straighteners were not new and proceeded to accuse me or my daughter of a scam replacing the new straighteners with an old pair. She loudly said to the whole shop that she would not give me a replacement or refund without a full investigation and had to look at the cameras to see if I had taken the item off the shelf in the shop. I had a receipt stating the time and date I bought the straighteners. She dismissed me and told me she would contact me in a few days. She then rang me when I got home and offered me credit for the store. She was loud and rude on the phone to the point that I had to tell her I was hanging up. I rang her back and asked for an exchange to which she replied that there was none in stock and she wouldn't check to see if any other stores had them. I sent my husband down to get the refund and purchased them elsewhere. Her attitude and customer service was atrocious. I will never shop there again!
Horrific service
Arrived in boots in cork Ireland Blackpool cork Wednesday to pick up meds. Staff always pleasant. I then went to over to replace my no.7 make up which is the first time I emptied a make up on looking I saw a similar make up so I asked for a small sample I was met by a talllady long brown hair with an accent who categorically told me no then fairly pissed off roughly opened one drawer which I couldn’t see at all to proceed to tell me oh I’ve nothing to put it in. I couldn’t see many . This is my local store but I will be changing to Boots half moon as they can’t do enough for you and go over and above understanding that at 46 years of age I have to try unlike you people who can do wreck on the makeup stands, I asked for two small samples. Shocking customer service on the floor in Blackpool Cork Ireland.

Update. I have continued to interact with Boots to discover the fate of my lost delivery. I was offered 1500 free advantage points ( which I accepted) and an offer by Boots to ' investigate ' a possible refund. Their words , not mine. I refused this offer. I am fed up of dealing with a company that never explains and NEVER apologised.

Will I Ever Learn
Boots.ie is incredibly difficult to order from, this is my 3rd attempt over the last 12 months and it’s already so late I might just cancel it and go somewhere else. It’s quite a shame, I do visit their stores very frequently.

I ordered stuff off boots in November and when I received the parcel 3 items were missing and boots will not refund me at all, klarna closed my case as boots give proof they sent the parcel but it’s the items missing. They keep saying they sent them when they didn’t. I’ve an email from someone in boots stating they sent they didn’t meet the delivery promises at this time and asked would I like refund or replacements and then after that I got another email saying they sent them. Absolutely shocking customer service and I’m annoyed with myself for not checking here first as I can see I’m not the only one. Should be ashamed of yourselves
From now on I’ll be taken a video of myself opening parcels anymore because of this
Atrocious customer service
Atrocious customer service. They keep on giving me the run around, I have asked for an update twice now since it has been 2 WEEKS since I contacted them first and they are still not resolving the issue. They are blaming that the courier is the one not responding but surely they can follow up on them or at least just refund me if my order cannot be found!!! I asked to have my inquiry escalated and of course all I get is the same AI written response with the same information and not an actual resolution!!!!!
Mouldy package - No Refund
I received my package a week late soaking wet, completely smashed and covered in mould. I shared photos with boots and they advised me to throw the package away while they investigated. They have now responded saying my refund has been rejected. Very very bad customer service.

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff. Especially that blonde girl working at the perfume till was extremely rude and unprofessional. Had no manners to speak to customers. She really needs more training on customer care and service.
Online ordering not recommended
The online ordering is an oddly poor experience, given the size of Boots, with very little emphasis on customer care. When I ordered I got a confirmation email, and a date to collect, but after that nothing. No notice given of dispatch, no way to track progress, no notice that items had arrived and were ready (when eventually they did arrive in store). The date to collect came and went, so I called to the store but the items were not there. I contacted Boots and had to wait a further 3 days to get an answer. The answer was that they would do nothing until 7 days had passed, and seemed to indicate they hadn't a clue either where the package was. It's just not a service a person can have any confidence in, and very slow overall, but awful from the customer care perspective - definitely not recommended. Small, local retailers are miles more professional than this.
Ordered soothers for my son ( 5 weeks…
Ordered soothers for my son ( 5 weeks old) he is now nearly 2 months and considering the soothers were 0-2 months in my honest opinion by the time boots get them here it will be for his 21st birthday gift.
I have rang 4 times on all occasions I have got different answers from customer care. Not helpful what so ever and very stubborn. Each day is... we can refund or replace the following day. I simply asked can I not collect the soothers in shop. No to that solution too. Looks iv my sons 21st birthday gift sorted 👍 thanks @boots.ie..

Update on my review regarding missing perfume. I have contacted customer care 4 times and each time am told a replacement is being sent out. I then received an email telling me the bottle was packed and delivered correctly and this decision is final. The weight on the An Post box label is 0.2 kg. I bought another bottle of the perfume from the Perfume Shop, put the bottle in the packaging and it weighed 0.43kg. This is solid concrete evidence that the perfume was not in the box when posted. Other reviewers on trust pilot had the same issue. Obviously a warehouse problem. Plastic taken off box, perfume removed and posted. I will be seeking legal action if I don’t get a replacement. For a reputable company I am shocked at the customer after sales service. Very upsetting that it has come to this.
Further update: After several more calls and emails which has caused me a lot of stress and anxiety I have been told that my perfume was packaged and sent correctly and this is their final decision. I emailed the CEO of Boots twice and he never responded. I am €154 out of pocket. I am starting legal proceedings as Boots are implying that I received the perfume thus indirectly claiming that I took perfume. This is a defamation of character. Someone in the warehouse facility is posting empty bottles of perfume. I would please advise anyone thinking of ordering online not to do so. I have since contacted the papers and radio and will not let this go. I am an honest and hardworking person and this has been a very unpleasant experience for me.

Placed €120 order on 03/01/25 due for delivery on 13/01/25. Today is the 22/01/25 and I have just got off the phone from a CSR who I felt very sorry for. It is not the CSR who should be hit with the complaints but the management of the company.
14 days for a refund which now takes me into February (if I receive it).
Sending out irrelevant letters to customers who have been let down is pointless. Thanking me for my understanding and patience is an insult.
Get a grip Boots start looking good and hard at your disastrous on line service!!!!
