A very angry author
Good afternoon, my experience with Book Publishers Ink started good. I started working with Maya Harper in August 2025. My book was published in October 2025. They created a beautiful cover for my book, Good Wolf Bad Wolf. In October 2025, she submitted a copy of my book to some distributors via the internet two of the companies wanted to purchase multiple copies of my book, including Publishing Whiz, which purchased 2000 copies. Since I was the author, I had to pay $7500 for printing and shipping the books. My commission was supposed to be $8,000 + the $7,500 for shipping and printing. Forbes Book purchased 4000 copies. The printing and shipping totaled $20,000. I paid $10,000 for printing and shipping. But I didn't have enough funds to cover the entire printing and shipping, so Book Publishers Ink paid $10,000 for the rest of the printing and shipping. On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, I texted Maya about my commission and was told that her team would be contacting me on Monday, December 29, regarding my royalties. But I didn't receive a call. On Tuesday, Jan 6, 2026, I contacted Maya Harper regarding my commission, and yet again I was told that her team would be contacting me regarding my royalties. But I didn't receive a call. Now I am beginning to think that I will not get my royalties because; I have not heard from Maya since January 6, 2026. I have called Maya Harper several times via text, e-mail, and phone. It is now January 28, 2026 and I have not received my royalites. I feel that Maya Harper and Book Publishers Ink have scammed me out of my royalties, which totaled $41,500, that includes my royalties and the printing and shipping. contacting them through their website, and the phone number (1-887-958-8129) listed on the website does not work, nor does the contact link that I had to complete when I first contacted them. Maya Harper and Book Publishing Ink are scammers.
