I had a connection of bus replacement from wolston to Southampton central station at 16:55. Catched a 17 bus from blue star. Driver was super rude, he did not provide any information. If drivers don’t want to do the job, there are MANY PEOPLE willing to do, and much nicer!

New customer
Brought a return ticket I was on time to the stop and on the app I was on time for it after a long day at work.
It had left 5 minutes earlier leaving me stranded for 55 mins at the bus stop! Brought a return ticket waste of money that was ended up getting a user.
The bud should wait till the time it's meant to leave the stop.

Last night the Bluestar 21:20 *1 was…

Last night the Bluestar 21:20 *1 was 20 minutes late from Winchester leaving me and 3 workers from the White Horse pub in Otterbourne waiting in the dark.

Luckily the workers got a lift in the end but i had to get the bus to Southampton then a bus to Eastleigh, as i has missed my train connection at Chandlers Ford.

Your drivers are so annoying

Your drivers are so annoying, I’m trying to deliver heavy packages to businesses on portswood high street and sometimes it’s so busy it’s hard to park close to the premises! Yes we are aloud to park on double yellow lines for hot 15 minutes confirmed by traffic warden. Tell your drivers to stop beeping at drivers. Or I’ll start beeping at them for doing there jobs

Winchester 2.45pm today

Winchester 2.45pm today, plenty of time to cross the road while one of their buses had stopped outside Barclays. Nearly ran one of my colleagues over!! The driver thought it would be funny to floor it as lights green and slam the horn on scaring my colleague. Appalling. Also given the 20mph LIMIT he did well to nearly get to him. I shall as MD be issuing a formal complaint. No way to drive safely! I hope whoever was behind that wheel, the owners see this review and fire them! NOT ACCEPTABLE.

This company urgently needs a comprehensive overhaul. Terrible service from totally uncaring individuals behind the wheel. No competition for customers to turn to, perhaps explains everything !

A excellent bus driver names Luke…

A excellent bus driver names Luke drives the number 12. He is soo kind and thoughtful of others my heart feels with awe. I wanted to take my time and write and review because he deserves it. We didn’t know that the day rider in Southampton doesn’t let you go from totton to Southampton central so Luke paid for us which was such a kind gesture. Thank you to bluestar for hiring such amazing human beings.

Some awful drivers

Never really had an issue, buses run ok ish, did have 4 star review but now changed! My daughter wasnt allowed on bus as card didnt go through (she had money so card fault) she asked for time to quickly look and resolve, driver offered no solutions like buy a ticket rather than tap on off which i believe would of worked. Then kicked her off bus. Left a child crying by side of road no where near home..disgraceful. wouldnt even allow 1 stop to sort issue and pay next stop (same price)....

They made an additional purchase on my…

They made an additional purchase on my card and were not authorized to do so. I made 1 purchase for $46 and the. And additional purchase showed up on my statement for $68 for something I never purchased or authorized. Then I opened a case and they denied it, even though I can prove that I was charged.

Unbelievably unreliable

Unbelievably unreliable. For a relatively sizeable city, where they pride themselves on the amount of public transport access, it’s unbelievable how little the public can rely on this company to provide reliable transport. When First buses still worked, I would favour bluestar because they were more reliable, but since First have stopped running buses in Southampton, Bluestar has not stepped up as expected. The tracker show buses that then completely vanish off the map and never show up, leaving you to fend for yourself last minute in the dark morning to get to work. The quality of the service provided is shameful and embarrassing and I would never recommend it.

Driver with pink hair

Wanted to give a huge thank you to a certain driver who I often see on the number 18. So sorry as I don’t know her name but she has pink hair and is such a friendly lady. Every time I’m on her bus she never fails to greet every passenger with a happy smile and hello. I was running late to catch my bus on a work break one shift and she ensured to quickly open the doors for me so I could make the bus, where as other drivers would usually turn their nose up at the situation. Again today I was seconds away from missing the bus however this hero of a woman waited at the stop after recognising me so that I wouldn’t miss it. She’s built a real nice relationship with her passengers by remembering their routes, and always without a fail being a lovely burst of happiness in their days. Thank you for going above and beyond, it doesn’t go unnoticed <3

Extreme dissatisfaction and disappointment

I have just one thing to say....
The buses don't know for God sake how to come on time. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with their service and especially since they are the only bus service in Southampton, I think that they should seriously consider how to run this business. If there is a thing that is on the road that may disrupt the bus service, the bus should start going early since they know if there are going to be road works.

I had a very good experience from one of your driver today ,We were a family of four travelling on number 15 today from New Road to Vincent’s walk and I bumped him again on Your 19 service around 9:30 pm ,I don’t know your drivers name but he has tattoos in his left arm ,please say my thank to him ,he is an absolute gem for your services ,he has always smile on his face and gives a great gesture .If I would have more than five stars to give him I was more than happy to give him.

Worst bus company in the UK and Europe

I wish there was a zero star for this review. Bluestar delivers the worst bus service in Europe and UK. They don't give respect to the pedestrians on priority pedestrian crossings. Plus in recent days there has been too many accidents. It's high time to ban this bus company. I would even ask the authorities to probe the owners and management of bluestar who are responsible for the accidents.

Dangerous Tailgating and Speeding buses - often pull out without looking

Number of occasions now where these bus drivers are becoming more and more danger. Situation one - driving between Hythe Centre - Hythe Hospital where speed limit is 30 mph and had a bus driver up my rear bumper flashing me to go faster and faster. Latest Situation date - 1 as state. Driving from a side road Whitewater rise to its Roundabout turning right with full indication and head lights on (Sun had set) was on the roundabout and bus from Dibden Purlieu - came on the roundabout at speed, without looking and I had to jam breaks on full - nearly hit under 0.5m.

One of these days there will be a serious accident involving one of their buses against Car / Cyclist / Pedestrians

Put in complaint(s) in without any reply / answer from Blue Star as usual

Moral of Story (at moment) and if possible avoid travelling / using Blue Star - Avoid like the Plague.
