Update - really nice leg press/sled
Solid and a bit tricky to put together but I like it. Only issue is that the leg press isn’t the one advertised and has nowhere near the same depth so I guess that sucks!

To be honest I’ve not even had the time to build the equipment I bought but the delivery was on time and communication from the company was good. I left it too late to organise someone helping to lift it up but my partner carried it up in the end. My next thing I want to purchase is a smaller Olympic bar and I already have my eyes on one on the website. See you again soon & I will update this when I’ve set my equipment up (leg press/sled) because I’ve not seen any reviews on that.

I ordered a dual leg ext/leg curl 5 in 1 machine. It was delivered 2 days after payment and for a small fee they fully assembled it. I did allot of research before buying one of these machines as it's for my PT studio so has to be right and have a small footprint as I am limited on space. I'm very happy with the size as it's very compact but there is no compromise with it's quality or functionality.

I ordered 100 kg bumper plate set on Sunday evening and it was delivered to me on Tuesday afternoon. Good quality equipment and great customer service too.

Second purchase I've made from Blackbear Fitness, and the second order was a larger order.

Ended up being split into 2 deliveries, and had a minor issue with one of the 2 deliveries, contacted the team and they got it sorted for me right away. Excellent customer service

Got a great set of adjustable dumbbells. Guidance from the owner was really helpful, always good to speak to an actual human who uses the kit and was handy in supplying the right product with quick service.

EDIT: I have now received the cambered bar.

Whilst it took a while to get it, I did eventually receive good help in having it sent out. The equipment itself seems to be good quality (the cambered bar is actually a rival strength brand though, not their own).

At the moment I have only received one item that matches what I ordered. The change plates received don't match what are pictured on the website. The bumper plates look good, if a bit scuffed. I also ordered a cambered bar that has not been dispatched, and I have had no replies to any emails sent about this. I will gladly change my review of these issues are fixed, but at the moment I am not happy with much at all right now.

Purchased multiple items from Ant and the team over the last 3 years. They always have a very quick turnaround on purchases as well. Equipment is also very good at very competitive rates which is a bonus.

My gym uses Black Bear plates and other equipment, and the quality and durability are excellent even under heavy use in a commercial setting. From what I’ve seen, they’re a dedicated family-run business that works incredibly hard to meet customer needs, offering personalised advice plus delivery and setup. Great company!

Initially, I had put a low score due to a missing item.
Anthony was absolutely fantastic and contacted me out of hours to rectify the missing item and maintained professionalism from start to finish.

I ordered a 10tier dumbbell rack with weights (1-10kg). The delivery was outsourced to Royal Mail, which meant there was no opportunity to arrange a phone call from the delivery driver to know what time this heavy item would be delivered. The item was being delivered to a new business of mine, which hasn’t yet opened and therefore I was working at the time at my current work place.
So I missed the first delivery attempt. Then the item was delivered to the wrong address.

Once I unboxed the delivery, I noticed that I had been given a pair of 7.5kg dumbbells rather than a pair of 7kg dumbbells.

Having ordered gym equipment from multiple different businesses over the last month, this was by far the least competent company. I had expected to receive a phone call or at least have email communication (not just an automated response email) to help arrange proper delivery.

Overall disappointed.

Had Anthony taking care of me today. Fantastic customer service, he took the time to listen to my needs and advised me on some other bits of equipment just a great guy to talk to. Would definitely recommend, good prices and great equipment. Will be going back there in the future.

Order 3 items with 2-3 day postage. 2 arrived 9 days later. 1 never showed up. It's been over 3 weeks now. Zero updates or communication from the company.
Prices seem a little lower than some other online retailers, but not worth saving a couple quid for such awful service.

Placed order on a Friday morning, item advertised as in stock and 1-3 days express delivery…a week later no response from the company whatsoever, sent 3 emails, had to open a PayPal not received case…do NOT order from them- SAVE YOURSELF GRIEF and find a reputable company, AVOID these cowboys

Might still be great as looked good quality at a decent price but it hasn’t arrived yet and is late!
