Cancelled my housing application…
Cancelled my housing application INSTANTLY last year for not having our birth certificates on the application even though they already hold my identification on file for being a CURRENT TENANT. This application was submitted April 2024 for a transfer due to medical needs and overcrowding. They did not follow due process and seek this documentation or look that I’m already a tenant and it was on file! ( I had actually re applied for birth certificates and upon receiving in post was going to upload them just incase this problem was going to occur) but they didn’t even give me any grace not even 3 days or so to upload it. Application submitted in April 2024, only to be instantly cancelled come September 2024 when they reviewed it.
I am physically and mentally disabled and this is how they treat you.
Also told in march 2024 that I needed to wait for occupational therapy assessment regarding the deterioration of my health in my current home and that I couldn’t refer myself for an appointment and just had to wait for it to be flagged up via my housing application where they will see I have medical needs and hey will book me one. 100% FALSE.
After re submitting another application approximately September/October 2024 it has been picked up 21st January 2025 they have asked for me to fill in an occupational assessment which has a waiting time of approximately 4 months! So they have ultimately delayed my occupational assessment since I first asked the occupational team in March 2024 by over 10 months and now a further 4/5 months after me now having to fill in this online form!
Thanks JANINE COLEY in the occupational therapy team for giving me false information and completely setting me back with my medical needs assessed which overall delays my medical points being added for banding my application!
Also they have NOW sought extra documentation BEFORE cancelling my application. Why follow due process now and not the first time?? They are now seeking medical information I have already given them and financial statements I have already given them. When I want to talk to ‘M George’ for the housing team 01213037410 it is ALL automated and does not give you the option to speak with a human. They have put a deadline on this documentation they have requested KNOWING FULL WELL this out of my control as the GP practice may delay and exceed the deadline. I would like to explain this to a HUMAN or the supposed ‘M George’ housing officer before they decide to cancel my SECOND application.
I wouldn’t mind but I only need a transfer! It didn’t used to be like this, I have a two bedroom property that a family could take as I need 3 bed yet they push us current tenants in the waiting line and treated as a new applicant. Which brainbox at the council thought collating new and current tenants would be a great efficient way of dealing with the current housing crisis?
If you are instantly cancelling people’s applications rather than giving them a 30 days (or even ONE DAY) grace period to collect any additional documents which is creating more work for yourselves at BCC, as well as us tenants, no wonder you are receiving over 500 applications a week!
In 2024 I called and managed to get through to someone who heard me crying on the phone and he clearly didn’t know how to deal with it and empathised with the situation calling BCC “cold hearted” that they work this way.
THAT IS YOUR OWN EMPLOYEE! They agree!

Birmingham City Council Fraudsters
I attempted to pay for parking in the city centre one evening. The parking machine took £2, and did not register the money or allow me to eject it. I ended up paying on the Ringo App but unfortunately it used my last parking address, so I ended up getting a parking ticket. Tried to challenge it, and they advised that there was no record of the machine not working and no extra money in it. Thieves I wonder ? And as I selected the wrong parking address the fine was payable. What kind of unreasonable idiot couldn't piece all of this together and see everything was done in good faith. Pathetic. Would like to see a freedom of information request to see how much surplus money is collected from faulty parking machines...

Birmingham City Council have £35 of my money!
Received PCN JJ13630602 on 16.12.24 for going into bus lane which was unavoidable. Appealed 17.12.24, instructed not to pay fine of £35 until appeal decision received. Received decision 08.01.25 and told fine was £70 as outside 21 days. Emailed three times but no reply, no phone number worked to help me. Had to pay £70 today - Birmingham City Council have £35 of my money fraudulently.
Don't live in Birmingham, it has the worst council in the UK

I would never recommend anyone to trust birmingham city council for help & support. They will make your life hell destroy your destroy mental health lead you on with lies and throw you in places you would never imagine to be in. They will make you share bath room and kitchen with foreign people who come to uk. And cant speak english and full of diseases. They are very dirty and disgusting no hygiene at all. They leave the door wide open to use the bath room stand naked and piss all over the seat and floor, cause danger by burning the property and cutting all the electric off and flooding the bath room. You keep making complaints but the council ignores and neglects. They put your children at risk knowing they suffer with allergies. I am so disappointed with birmingham city council i would like to move out of this prison breedon road cotteridge homeless centre asap! I cannot share a property with this dangerous witch who keeps risking my kids lifes. Worst thing is when you tell her she laughs about it. She finds it funny. She seriously needs help before she ends up burning the whole block. Birmingham city council keeps trying to move me out of south birmingham. Yet they are aware my kids are not allowed to go out of south birmingham and solihull. And not allowed to move schools. My kids schools are so far from this centre and i am having to wake my kids at 6am to get ready to be on time for school. About time my kids are in school they are exhausted and to tired to study in class. Yet they where about to move me even more further out. Breech the court order and make my kids struggle reaching school on time and back. They already keep falling asleep in class for not being able to have full rest. Cause it takes so long to reach schools and back. They have no rest and no break. It is to much for kids to travel for over an hour long journey everyday. They have really messed my kids about and not once they cared to take my kids health serious. We are stuck living with this disgusting dirty women who dangers everyone and stinks the whole place up with her stinky food and piss.. rotten egg witch. I feel as if we are carrying her dirty filthy scent everywhere with us. Its embarrassing. Either they offer us a private let in yardley or local to yardley/solihull or move us in one of the property i have bid on or put us in a suitable temporary accommodation where my kids are not at risk of danger. And pick any diseases from this disgusting women. Enough is enough. We suffered since 2020 in one after another temporary accommodation we still have nothing. Its about time we was offered a home and settled so i could work full time. Sick of these benefits i want to work full time. I do not recommend anyone to risk there lifes and accept temporary accommodation at breedon road cotteridge. Devon and scotland council is million times better. The management is awful at breedon road cotteridge. The lady burnt the kitchen and it was not safe and liveable specially for my kids who have extreme allergies. They requested me to stay at my siblings home over the weekend and will offer r&b on mon but i did not get an offer to move to an r&b. it is over crowded at my siblings home and she needs her own space but council did not offer us another temporary home to stay, they lead us on, i am still waiting for them to offer so we can move but never did. We are homeless and have no where to go. I been contacting them everyday. But i have no respond just being ignored. They did offer us a another temporary accommodation out of Birmingham where they are well aware my kids are not allowed. Court orders. Basically they messed with my kids again. And i do not have a car everyday. And they demand me to go to edgbaston to fill the forms and collect the keys and then go all the way to sandwell. Miles away. What a joke! expecting me to fly over or go on a dam horse!! Jokers!!! They make it sound so easy and simple. How would my kids attend there clubs and schools and how would i go to work.not just moving us out they are also breeching the court order. They are well aware my kids are not allowed moving or leaving south birmingham and schools. Then they try to force us to move to sandwell. I will be reporting to the court. For them for trying to break the court order.
Not getting any help from Birmingham Council
I been trying to get council tax seaport just wasting my time I not getting any benefits because the d w p stop my jobseeker benefit on the 4 of October I only getting 65 pounds a month of my private pension my girlfriend as been through a lot she had a fall at work on the 4 of July and then had a breast scan the 30 of October it come back had cancer lump in her breast when in the city hospital on the 18 0f November she went back for her results on the 5 of December she at to have a norther operation on the 9 of December she only getting sick pay why is it know is help us I 63 years of age all I want is what I should be getting help I sick of email people can not even tell you what you should be getting that when we have not got the money for the council tax and electric bills I work all my life and can not get to speak to people waiting days for answers just going round and round in circles just wasting peoples time we will not have the money to pay the council tax in January we been like this for the last 6 months very unhappy with Birmingham council what wrong with phone and talking to people so there know what people are going through its tough times

I've already contacted Birmingham City Council - City Housing about this issue about how their staff have not checking contact numbers before issuing out SMS messages, and told the staff to remove my number.. today i received another bleeming SMS! With the person's name and ref number etc etc. Seriously, people sort your flipping staff out! Correcting a phone number is really easy.

My Direct Debit had not collected again and I have called Bham council as Mybrumaccount was no help and I was in hold for 25mins, and then was transfered to the main options page. With all the money you take from us may be you should increase you call centre colleagues? Your service is awful, but I suppose you're fully aware of this.
Fiasco at the tip
Can never fault the staff at Sutton Coldfield tip and they didn’t disappoint yesterday morning when I accidentally dropped my car keys in with the cardboard. Big shout out to Richard Lewis who absolutely saved the day!
BCC Must be the worse Council in the country.
If I could score zero I would. We were owed money from Council Tax overcharged to our late parents. I filled out the relevant forms with everything required and heard nothing. Every emailI sent was totally ignored. After wasting hours trying to get through on the phone on various occassions I kept being told that they required more information and they lied to me claiming that they could not open my attachments even though everyone else could. I re sent every single thing asked for and still heard nothing. Then eventually got a letter off Parmajit K Manik asking for all the same information that I had already sent 3 weeks ago. Jonathan Woodward Head of Revenues should be ashamed of his department. I can fully understand why BCC are bankrupt they deserve to be. The money was eventually then paid into my account after 3 months, a process that should have taken 12 days. I have still never received any letter or email off them confirming this. BCC have wasted hours of my time. They must be either Fraudulent or incompetent and should be reported.
