Wonderful customer service, we've been purchasing for 20+ years.
Susmans parcels were always a highlight during my childhood. My mum moved to the UK in the late 70s and was over the moon when she found somewhere she could still get cream soda, biltong and fanta grape from. Every year we'd get one or two parcels as a treat and we never had a bad experience. Now in my 30s, I still look forward to ordering from susmans. I recently placed an order a little late (meeting family friends and also purchased some gifts for them), and Sarah has been so helpful and responsive to push the delivery window for me. I hope to continue ordering for many years to come and build the same memories with my own family.

I used to go to the shop 20+ years ago with my family and have great memories picking out goodies and treats! I now live in wales and I am still able to put orders in online and receive the same great tasting treats all these years later! You guys go above and beyond! I can’t wait to order another delivery soon!

If you are happy with grossly overpriced South African goodies, Susmans is for you. If you prefer supporting a Jewish company, Susmans is for you. Their products and delivery are well below standard. After several orders, decided on Spaza SouthAfricanShop and absolutely delighted with range and quality of products and friendly service I got from my new supplier. The difference was day and night.

First biltong order was perfect. The second was far from what I ordered. I wrote to them but no reply. Unsatisfactory service so I won’t buy again.

Don’t ever buy their boerewors!! They send it out previously frozen and tells you on the packaging to keep it frozen, but it arrives defrosted and their response was to keep it in the fridge now and to eat my entire order in 3 days!!! Pathetic service!! You can’t sell meat that you freeze and allow it to defrost if you can’t provide the service that people pay for!!! I will NEVER buy from Susman’s ever again! Many other SA shops actually know what they are doing and gets it right!!

The first thing that strikes you about Sussman's biltong is its mouth-watering aroma. The biltong I ordered from susmans was probably the worst stringy sinewed meat I have ever tried to eat,I had to bin the lot Which was 1kg also not spicy enough. I will admit the delivery service was excellent we eat a lot of biltong but this is the first and last time I will order from Susmans

I recently ordered over £100 worth of biltong from Susmans. When ordering online you have a choice of “wet”,”medium” or “dry”.
I don’t like my biltong dry so I ordered it “medium”. Big mistake! When it arrived I couldn’t wait to dig in. What a disappointment it was! Everything I’d ordered was as dry as a Kalahari tumbleweed!!
They didn’t even bother to reply to my email complaining about this. Sorry Susmans. I’ll be going elsewhere from now on.

I have been ordering from here for years. Never had a bag batch of tong. I have tried most of the online places and these guys are the best.

Ordered on the 28th May, got a random email last week saying an error has occured and shipping is delayed from DPD. No communication from the company or DPD, and still no delivery, or a response from them. On an order over a £100 I am thoroughly pissed off. It's now 13th June and no sign of refund of product. Terrible customer service.

brilliant braai rooster , exactly like the one I had in SA , haven't tried the boerewors yet but looks pretty authentic, cant wait, great memories are coming back, great shop this is, I can see myself returning regularly , one slight problem with delivery from dpd but when I called about it , the guy was very helpful and squared it up right away, back soon guys,

One has to wonder if the 5 star reviews are from actual customers because in my experience it is actually impossible to order from Susman’s Best Biltong, at least if one wishes to pay by credit/debit card. No matter which browser one uses (I’ve tried 3, Firefox, Oracle and Safari), attempts to pay fail because JavaScript is not enabled (allegedly). Considering that Safari (on an iPad Pro) has no setting for enable/disable JavaScript, this sounds a tad fishy.
To be fair, I haven’t tried paying via PayPal because I do not trust PayPal to keep my details safe.

Just the best Biltong ever. A friends parents used to bring some back from South Africa each year when they went to visit hers dads parents, I loved it. We got older and my friend got married and moved away. Over the years I tried lots of others but they were not the same. The last company sent some so dry and hard it was almost impossible to eat and most was thrown away. At that point I just gave up.
In August another friend asked if I still liked Biltong as she had been given some and it was wonderful.
I decided to give them a chance and I am so glad I did. It was just perfect and just as I remember it. They also stock alot of the other South African treats I remember.
I now find myself ordering it monthly, along with other treats. I am so happy I discovered this company. Not only is their Biltong great tasting, you can have it wet or dry and with or without fat and what contact I have had with customer services was great, really polite and helpful. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I use Susman's quite regularly. As a general rule, I find them brilliant. The last lot of biltong I ordered was very dry when I had asked for medium, however, of all the times I have ordered this was the first one that wasn't perfect. I once had a mix up and it was dealt with quickly and courteously. Their boereworse is just like home for any South African. I really love their stuff and am regularly recommending them.

Amazing company, excellent customer service, good quality products, they always put their customers first and always go that extra mile.

I've been using Susmans a few times now. I like how you can customise your biltong, you stock klipdrift and your butchers section is great. Quickly delivery. Great prices. I've never had an issue with your services. Keep it up! The du Toits!

Their koeksisters aren't koeksisters, they're mini koeksisters. They're very small and very expensive. Their delivery costs are very expensive too.
