I tried this with various browsers and platforms and all had the same BROKEN outcomes.
I held an account with BikeExchange for some years.
Recently, I hopped onto the site to advertise a bike for sale.
The site had changed [updated?] since I last used it and it is now TOTALLY BROKEN.
Here is what I found.

1. My account was gone and I had to create a new one.
2. The new site does not allow address input so default delivery or contact address simply WON'T WORK, which grinds everything to a halt.
3. It was NOT POSSIBLE to advertise my bikes for sale as the site did not work.
4. The web site help 'bot' was TOTALLY USELESS and repeatedly responds with 'not online'. This is the case no matter what day or time I tried.
5. Multiple attempts at communicating with BikeExchange never worked.

BE needs to sort itself out before posting a web site online.

BikeExchange.com.au is NOT RECOMMENDED.

Perhaps, when they fix the broken web site it will be okay bot at this time it is a DUD.

I'm off to use another online sales portal.

Sold me a out of stock bike. I cant reach costumer service and i ve not got my money back (jet). Avoid this site.

I ordered electra Crazy 8 about 1 year ago the bike came damaged and the seller in South Jersey promised to make it good, of course they never did after months of trying to get them to respond. In comes Bike Exchange who took ultimate responsibility with the transaction and went way out of their way to resolve the issue the world needs more people like Ron S. AND HE DID IT WITH A SMILE.....Thanks Ron..... All future Bike purchases will be through Bike Exchange.

Ordered a bike on 29 March from Bike Exchange for my son's 3rd birthday on 30 April.
First, they double-charged my credit card, but after a frustrating back and forth, they refunded one of the payments. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and not cancel the order altogether. As the weeks ticked by I had to follow up multiple times to get an update. I was finally provided with a tracking number late last week which, surprise surprise, didn't register on the courier's website. Anyway, it's now 26 April and the bike still hasn't arrived.
BikeExchange updated me this morning: "I just spoke to Buy Cycles [seller] and they explained that the tracking number is not working as it hasn't been picked up by the company. I'm really sorry as this means the bike hasn't left the shop and they said it was gonna be picked up today and once it's picked up the tracking number will get active. I understand how frustrating this whole process has been for you and I'm really sorry that seller we are dealing with here is not a top performer unfortunately. This is something we work on every day to make the customer experience better but there are some bike shops that are still learning how to deal with e-commerce and we are still trying to teach them how to meet the expectations."
Fuming, I called Buy Cycles [seller], who told me they weren't even notified to send the bike until 2 days ago.
I buy a lot online, I order something most days, and I rarely leave reviews. But this was right up there with the worst customer experience I've had and I don't want anyone else to go through the same. An absolute joke. Avoid.

I had a very similar experience to Colin. I contacted a private seller via the website, checked Bike Exchange's return policy (not well enough though), and then was contacted by the seller via WhatsApp. I transferred the money to the seller, and received a tracking link to a dodgy looking website - Aus Couriers & Freight Pty Ltd.

I didn't think much of it, couriers in Australia are generally a bit unprofessional, but after a week the bike didn't show. After 10 days, I looked up the courier - there's scam reports against them.

I contacted Bike Exchange and the person I spoke to via web chat was very concerned and nice, and has taken the scam ad down, hence the 2 stars instead of 1.

However, I'm still out of pocket $2345 due to a scam on a website that is supposed to be legit. Bike Exchange desperately needs to do either:

1) Facilitate payments with private sellers, with some sort of escrow or ability to retrieve funds if goods aren't delivered, like eBay, or
2) If they can't do that then they need to vet their sellers better.

I reviewed the BikeExchange (“BE”)website very carefully to look for any hints and tips on buying a used bike. No warnings on scams BTW. Once I had decided to go ahead and buy, I contacted the seller. I had no idea there wasn’t a contact platform so the seller got in touch via WhatsApp. I asked all the questions as suggested by BE and watched for language used. All appeared above board so I transferred funds. Tracking number was supplied by a bogus freight company and bike has not turned up. I immediately got hold of BE and nearly a week later, I received a response that was all about the T’s and C’s and they are not responsible. Do not deal with this company for used goods as you will lose money and not get your goods. BikeExchange is out to make a quick profit and is not interested in the well-being of hard working honest Australians. Shame on you !!

Zach at Bike Exchange on the Help phone or email rarely responds and never helps. I have been trying to place an ad for a week and a half and their website does not allow me to pay for the ad. I cannot resolve this with Zach. He does not read the emails and takes 2 -3 days to respond blaming covid.

Triste expérience, achat d'un vélo. Annulation de la vente par leur site car vélo plus en stock ( ça peux arriver ). Par contre ne pas être remboursé directement ( une somme de 4550€ tout de même ) ce n'est pas une façon de traiter un client, contact très froid quand ils répondent....

I purchased a mountain bike from them on March 29th from SAFARI PATRICK...they only offered VENMO to purchase the bike. That should have been a warning to me. I paid $350 via VENMO and they never shipped the bike and won't answer my emails. I emailed Bike Exchange to tell them...and asked, what measures are you putting in place to help the consumer...no response from Bike Exchange. I don't trust them, I wouldn't ever use them again. They don't care about the end user. I wouldn't doubt that the owners of this website are part of the entire SCAM. Stay away.

I recently bought an e-bike through BikeExchange and found it a pleasurable experience. They found the best price and it all worked seamlessly. I could not be happier with the process.

I recently used BikeExchange for a kids bike. This site is fantastic, it was easy to use, and had a great variety of bikes, it actually came from Bike City who delivered it to our door about 3 days later. During a time of restricted travel it was just brilliant and exactly as described on the website. Very happy will use the site again.

Excellent website and great service.I asked a technical question about an ebike and got a detailed response to my question.
I ordered the Ebike which was a great price and the site saved me hours of time rather than trawling individual websites.

I only shopped. The bike i looked at was misrepresented, and it was priced like it was much more of a bike than it actually was. I had to investigate and report it. Then I looked at another bike from 2019, and it was priced higher than the exact same model 2021. the 2019 was 5800 and the 2021 is 5400. same components. I don't trust the site.

I bought my most recent bike on BikeExchange and it was a great experience. I got the best bike and BikeExchange was so kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to help me. I can't thank them enough. I will definitely recommend this site for anything bike related!

I’ve used the site several times now and had good experiences each time. It’s great for researching and finding what you need across products and brands from retailers. It’s helped me a lot, as I don’t know a huge amount about bikes, and I’ve bought several items as a result. The last items were lights and prior to that a children’s helmet. Highly recommend it.

I bought a saddle bag on May 8, had to contact the seller on the 13th to see if it were even in stock, which confirmed it wasn't with the seller. I asked for a refund. That was on the 14th, and have contacted the seller 3 more times with no response, and just contacted BikeExchange for the second time and still no response. I guess I'll have to contact my credit card to file a fraud claim. Terrible service!

I order two pairs of sunglasses. One arrived broken. I contacted them and they said they would contact the seller, they then said they were having trouble contacting the sell. I told them than can just refund me direct as they charged me. They then said I needed to contact the seller (The one they couldn’t contact). I spoke to the ACCC and they said they couldn’t do that, which I already knew, but wanted confirmation. I looked up the seller and the ABN was not valid and the business name had been cancelled with ASIC.

This company is a scam and I will continue to fit for a refund, which I will get. They should be shut down.

Everything should be zero stars. Oh, I also think my products are both counterfeit.

Recently reached out to the staff through their concierge service. A staff member got back to me with excellent suggestions on what bike to buy and directed me instore to my local dealer to purchase. I never felt pressured during the process, and the information provided was easy to understand, thanks!
