Efficient and painless remortgage
I am genuinely blown away by how efficient and painless our remortgage process was with Better. Last time we remortgaged, 2 years ago (with a DIFFERENT broker), the process was one of the most unbelievably stressful experiences. This time around, we tried Better (which was recommended through the Monzo app) and it couldn’t have been easier. Steven and Gemma were both completely brilliant. I had a first phone call with Steven last Wednesday afternoon, where he talked me through the process. By Thursday morning, Gemma had already submitted the full application to the lender. By Friday night, we had an update from Steven saying our valuation was complete (the most difficult process last time around)!, and by Wednesday, we received our full mortgage offer, and now have a 5-year fixed rate secured at 3.89%. Literally one week from first contact to offer, even in the current climate of high application numbers as interest rates are rising. Absolutely brilliant service - couldn’t fault a thing.

Poor service
Poor service. Remortgage they happily took it on board and completed it as it was just a remortgage and just needed a new rate. Easy work but when it came to the new purchase they decided they didn’t want work on it and said we can’t do nothing for you. What a strange company. Within 2-4 days of each application. The broker didn’t bother calling back. Don’t waste your time with this company . At anytime they will just decide when to turn you down for no reason

Better used to be better - they're now just after a commission
Quite unimpressed with Better. Total half job this time around... definitely not the provider that they used to be. Clearly jumping on the predatory bandwagon. Why would I change products if it results in me getting a double charge and homework to talk to the respective double insurance provider to clear up Better's mess?!
