Late delivery
The birthday present I ordered for my sister was delivered late. I ordered 6 days before the date. Sadly it was not within the delivered 3 - 5 promise.
On the tracking the order only started to move when I chased up with an email
Contacted customer service after late delivery - no response.

First time I'd been to Derby for a while, saw this place and thought I'd drop in and get a takeaway coffee wasn't very busy in there, ordered a takeaway coffee waited and waited and waited there was no rush good job I wasn't in a rush the service was so slow especially since not being very busy I hate to go here when it is, the drink did taste nice thou that's why I'm giving 2 stars

As you can see from so many of our previous reviews, we often receive really lovely, positive feedback about how friendly and helpful our team are, so it's really heartbreaking to hear that the high brand standards we set weren't quite met during your visit. Nevertheless, it's great to hear that you enjoyed your drink - I really hope that these past reviews can show you that the poor experience you had was unfortunate and rare and you'll come back to see us again soon!

We always love coming to Bear for brunch, but have come for the second time on a Saturday night and the food and cocktails are fantastic! Honestly, the food could not be better and the atmosphere and service is brilliant. Would highly recommend!

I ordered a latte and a cake at Bear on…
I ordered a latte and a cake at Bear on 4 August 2023 at 10.57. I ask to sit down and the lady said she would bring my latte and cake to me. I waited for several minutes and approached to counter to establish where my order was. My order was ready but placed on the bar, where it was not visible to me. I took the order to my table, but had to get some cutlery, as non where provided. 1 saw the lady, who took my order, picking up dishes from other tables. I approached the lady and asked why i had not been given my order, her response was she is the only one taking orders.
Perhaps Bear needs to employee more FRIENDLY staff, as opposed to staff multitasking.

Hey Wayne, thanks for the review and feedback.
We test our pods on a number of different branded coffee pod machines, but it's difficult to cater to all of them. If you don't mind popping a quick email to orders@bemorebear.co with your coffee machine make & model, this would be incredibly helpful for us in terms of developing our product! Apologies again that you found our pods didn't quite fit - we also happen to sell the same coffee we use in our pods as both whole bean and freshly ground if this is ever something which may interest you in the future!

Chef playing with her phone every 2 minutes, then putting her hands on my food with me sitting 2 metres away from her (open kitchen reataurant) . 20 mins waiting time for simple bacon and hashbrowns 😁
FYI . Mobile smartphone carries more viruses and bacteria than you can find on toilet seat . I've seen no gloves , no hair protection , only lots of laugh and banter and singing ??? You are not that good and overpriced too . Food was only a bit above average (presentable maybe ) and premises pleasant . But not very far from 8 quid breakfast apart from that .

Coffee choice world class
Since Bear opened at Northwich we have been frequent customers for coffee,breakfast,or brunch.As long timers this we have got to know the staff and vice a versa.We wish to single out Alfie who is not only a competent barista with the beans but a welcoming and smiling face.

My Bear adventure ...
I've been drinking Bear since 2021. Their hometown blend is perfect for everyday use, and I use it to make lattes and americanos. Delicious!

Great value coffee subscription
Great value coffee subscription.
I'm a regular in store but like to have the same beans to brew at home. Using the subscriprion service ensures I never run out. Goes without saying that the quality of the coffee is superb.

Really disappointed with my first visit…
Really disappointed with my first visit here. I was looking forward to the Buddha bowl but it didn’t live up to its expectations (or name for that fact) not only was it a PLATE but for £9 all you get is 3 small falafels cut in half, a smear of Humous and a tablespoon of grains with spinach. As a starter it would be tasty, as a main for lunch as it was listed I was very underwhelmed. A Buddha bowl is supposed to be a BOWL filled to the brim with a host of tasty delights, and whilst everything listed on the menu was present, I was just sorely disappointed with the quantity for the price.

So we went for breakfast and we get to the counter to be told if your ordering breakfast we have NO eggs, what’s the point of poached eggs, a full English breakfast or a toasted ciabatta with bacon and egg. If they have NO eggs I mean come on who does your ordering for you, there is a sainsburys that sells eggs for gods sake. Very very poor service and you calm yourself a restaurant and the main item for breakfast are eggs. Poor excuse for a venue to get breakfast at, will not be visiting you again

Unfortunately, due to nationwide shortages of eggs caused by Avian Flu, we had a failed delivery last week which meant we ran our egg stocks out completely. I completely appreciate that this is incredibly frustrating (we felt this too!), and I cannot apologise enough for the negative impact that this had on your experience with us, however please rest assured that we completely share your frustrations and we're working with our supplier as a matter of priority to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
I'm very sorry again. I really hope that this hasn't caused you to lose faith in us completely and you'll come back to give us the opportunity to show you the great products and service that have earned us such a great local reputation!

We have eaten here so many times, the food is fantastic, staff are friendly and helpful, service is superb, one of our favourite places to eat, love it. Oh and you can bring your dog as well :-)
