Terrible insurance, the black box I had was not accurate at all and I got repeated scores of 10 and below for my driving (after driving unbelievably carefully) - not accurate in the slightest and would go as far to say that it is fraudulent. I got below scores of 10 just from being at work as apparently the longer your car is away from your house the lower the score.
Would not recommend to anyone!!

your policy really don't cover normal daily use of my car to buy daily necessaries, pick up my daughter and my son to and for school, go to veiwing properties for my next house, visit friends' home, go out for dinners or other activities, your policy is not useful for me. and your service is a nightmare to me in the past weeks.
Literally charge a fortune for any type of change. Add a premium? They will charge an additional for that premium. To cancel my insurance, it costs me £60 in admin fees for one car- £55 for the car and £5 for the premium I added. Also, they don’t provide a breakdown so you can’t check their record on charges.
They don't pay your excess even when you are not at fault and they rate you on where you drive not so much how you drive? So it makes your monthly score always remain on average or poor! Surely they should be focusing on how your driving is?
So i took out this insurance not realising there was a black box involved but that was my own fault for not reading the small print so I thought fair enough, i’ll give it a go. A weekly update was e-mailed, scoring me on my driving performance, time of journeys & location of journey which I soon came to realise was a bit of a joke because whilst my driving performance was constantly above 75%, my overall score was always ‘average’ due to where and when I was driving. I would accept that data if it didn’t stay the exactly the same whether I was driving in city centre rush hour traffic every morning or on holiday in devon for the week or even just parked on my driveway! Always the same score and never improving! A score is a score and wouldn't really bother me however the better your score, the better renewal quote you will receive😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. One year on, they came in approximately £400 more expensive than the top 5 insurance providers which is bad enough, but when I found alternative cover they offered to match it! “Okay so you can match these prices but you thought you’d try to rip me (a current customer) off first? Cheers”. The lady on the line was apologetic when she said my best quote could be matched but I replied ‘No. just cancel’ I had to bite my tongue as I was disgusted in this company. Avoid like the Covid Indian Variant!!!
Just awful, they sent a black box that only had one USB plug in the top which was no use to someone who has a lightning to USB charger. Had to unplug it to charge my phone to find the services to buy a USB cable. Week later I get an email telling me they’re cancelling my insurance because I unplugged their black box for all of 10 minutes out of a 6 hour drive.
Bell simply don't follow up on your claim / case.
Don't use them !!!! this company is beyond useless!

Received a text today informing us plug n drive will be sent to us, tried to phone to cancel and surprise surprise now answer. Black box when driving for over 10 years takes the mick to be honest.
I would totally avoid it, they trick you with the low quotes and the black box, which I'm fine with as I drive safely. However, the box is totally inaccurate and they will increase the price of your policy. I would totally avoid them!

I get 79/100 on how I drive. 57/100 on where I drive. 47/100 on when I drive. => score of 48
Then the next week
I get 82/100 on how I drive. 58/100 on where I drive. 50/100 when I drive => score of 46
I do better and get a worse score !!! I only drive Tesco and Park....during the day ! I drive like a pensioner to save the electric charge on the car.
The Worse ever insurance i have had i was insured with them for last 5 years never had a claim but just few months before i had an accident in Wandsworth area and it wasn’t my fault as I agreed with the maximum voluntary excess and it covered all the repair cost,they didn’t take the investigation serious and they said they couldn’t find cctv in the area(which is impossible).they reduce my no claims discount for 5 years.when i contact them they said because your case it is still open we cant give you all your claims discount.i changed my insurance company and never ever recommend them.it is a daylight robbery😡

I have been with Bell Car Insurance Company for four years. However, I was sad to leave as this year’s renewal offer, was far too high. So I decided to shop around, and had found a super great insurance renewal with Hastings Direct of £512.26. This will be until 17May2022. To make the matters worst and despite of calling for cancellation they still done an automatic yearly renewal for the sum of £695.52, luckily my wife had noticed the deduction on our joint account. Because of the unprecedented pandemic, this had caused my family so much financial distress, as this was a huge sum of money. But kudos to Ms Mitchell Katchi at Bell Car Insurance customer service agent who was apologetic, very friendly, accommodating, had straight away cancelled the direct debit transaction. And she promised a full refund within 48hrs, plus email confirmation.
Bell Insurance, this should be a lesson for you to learn, never do an automatic renewal direct debit without your customers approval for direct debit deduction.
Excellent service. My car was stolen and they helped de-stress the whole experience. Would highly recommend. Thank you Bell team for your caring approach, and responsiveness.
To do anything on your account there is an “admin fee” of £25. Even if it’s just changing your payment date which is ridiculous. Telematics box they send you is huge and means my whole dashboard in the middle has to be completely open the whole time. High risk of car now being broken into as can see there is an electrical item on show. Rang company to express concern about this and they didn’t care. Told me it would be £105 cancellation fee. Awful company.
