Absolutely gutted this is closing but so glad I got to experience the Shark dive today. Ollie and Dave were amazing hosts and made sure we were looked after and made us feel safe and secure both in and out of the water. Getting to see the sharks and the big boy shark too was a bonus. Such a shame it’s closing! Thank you Ollie and Dave!!!

I took my 12-year-old son for a day of archery, Shooting and axe throwing, and we had an amazing time. The staff running each activity were incredibly helpful and friendly, making the experience even better. My only complaint is that the sessions felt too short—they went by so quickly!

I can’t exactly fault the experience itself because it looked amazing inside and out. There was a free assault course with my snorkelling experience which I found was a great plus, and there was food and drink inside (even if it was a little overpriced). However my main issue was that we were thrown in a cage with 4 boisterous people who were fighting eachother in there and one even kicked me in the face and knocked my snorkel off and almost drowned me. While the staff did nothing but watch! It completely ruined my experience as the fishes and sharks avoided them (don’t blame them). However I do understand that it just might be a bad one off experience. But this is where things get worse… staff didn’t tell us that there were lockers upstairs they just told us to fetch our towels so we did. There was no soap or shampoo only a 2 minute shower as they were rushing us to get the new people in so I ended up smelling like a fish tank 🤢. No proper communication in the staff at all! I purchased a magnet and the member of staff had no clue what she was doing she even tried to charge me £20! The magnet was £5! So another woman that worked there came along and said to her “what are you doing? Seriously, what are you doing?!” So at least someone tried helping us out. She made the photo too large for the magnet and then the worst part was that I had to cut it out of the white frame myself!! I have never ever in my experiences of getting photos, had to cut it out myself. Absolute shambles of a place, the staff really let it down. Otherwise it would have been a great day out.

Not for some single parents, even if you try!!!

Overzealous general center supervision rules mean that any one under 16 must be 100% supervised (including the cafe etc.etc.) That's workable most the time, however in shooting activity an adult can only supervise 2, so if your single and have 3 kids your screwed. 1st they tried cancel all 4 of us on the activity..... So I got creative and offered to send one or two out at a time exchanging them. No!, Then offered to send out my 13year out of the activity, but that wasn't good enough for them, he would be unsupervised, so then I offered to send him off site, he could wait in the car!..... They didn't like that! they sternly warned that NEC security staff might 'pick him up'!! (I had the impression they might even call NEC security tbh). After they realised how OTT and unreasonable that seemed they had little choice just to accept it, he was cast out! They proceeded to watch him literally, tracking him out, comms over the radio, and following him at a distance and then track back in the building later, in the same fashion. So rather than help they actually amplify the problems. There behaviour was 'Odd' an effort to safeguard became a draconian, policy based power play.

The reality was that the efforts to track my son and the management involvement could of been used to find a solution to the problems. They are very aware of the issues arround the shooting activity due to its capacity issue and obvious safety risk assessments, my circumstances can't be unique or the first time and it clearly hasn't been escalated to consider appropriate resolutions only to expell from the building and grounds.

My kids did want to say the 'floor staff' were ALL absolutely brilliant, and they are right! bar check-in staff and management. Everyone went above and beyond they really did! I also don't believe an apology was ever offered or made.

So seems like something potentially amazing just needs some tweaks in practical implementation.

In addition to this Merlin pass holders can only book one ticket so the single parent can not book twice to supervise their kids on the supervision ratio in-line with there policy. Also when booking on the Merlin portal these supervision exclusions don't show!

Had a fantastic time, brought tickets for my partners birthday. Staff were incredible to be honest, especially Kenzie, Elise, Kyle and Connor on the axe. They were so much fun and made the day eventful. They articulated themselves well, had so much patience with us (Especially me lol). So much fun, will definitely be returning. Axe throwing, archery and climbing are the activities we did

Went for my sons birthday. Did High Ropes, Assault course, Archery, Rock Climbing and Shooting. Really good day, very tiring.

Food reasonable prices as is the merch in the shop.

2 Gripes:
Rock Climbing: You start with bouldering which is a practice wall, then move to bigger walls and then onto the professional walls. By the time you get to professional walls, you have no energy left so unable to have a proper go at them, not that I would have been any good. Shame you cant pick and choose which walls you want to try, rather than being made to do things outside of your abilities, thus removing some of the enjoyment.

Other gripe: Timings, for each event you get about 10 -15 mins safety briefing time, which I fully understand. However this is deducted from your time on the activity. We did high ropes and got onto the ropes 20 mins after activity started. 35 mins later we were instructed to leave as our time was up and had fully de-harnessed 5 mins before the end of the hour slot. So for a paid 1hr session we got 35 mins of actual activity time.

You just can book with merlin cards - no one answers the phone you just can book

Experiences and service when there is good but the website and booking experience is just not worth the heartache.

My son did the scuba dive for his 12th birthday. He loves fish but has never dived before. I couldn't afford 2 tickets so he had to go in by himself. The team took such great care of him and reassured me throughout. My son absolutely loved it and would do it again. Huge thank you to Paul and Ross, I do feel that they went above and beyond-knowledgeable, helpful, patient and friendly. Although pricey, I can see why, as there were 2 trainers on the dive, all the equipment etc. It was well worth it to see my son have a great time. Paul even found him a shark's tooth! Now a treasured possession!

Tried to book activities using Merlin Gold Card 2 months in advance. The activities were all available to book online, but wouldn’t allow booking with gold cards. There was no availability for any activities through July, August and most of September for gold card bookings. Bought 4 Merlin Gold Cards for my family, which cost nearly £900 I am very disappointed that there are such restrictions on booking with these cards. Customer services were unhelpful and dismissive when I asked how I could book tickets.Very poor!

We were booked in for Bear Grylls and at late notice a guessed needed to change. We asked to swap 1 of our activity’s so both guests could do the same thing. This seemed reasonable as we are travelling 4 hours to do it and having already checked online to ensure there was space on the alternative activity I couldn’t see why this would be an issue, we simply needed to swap one of the activities. Bear Grylls customer service team refused and said once a booking is made they refuse to be able to amend it. I was disgusted at the lack of customer service shown , they didn’t make any effort to sort it. Shocking company wouldn’t ever wish to deal with again, customer service was abysmal. How could such a simple request be so hard when they weren’t even booked out in the other activity. Cost nothing to amend the booking and have a happy customer. Be very careful

Had an indoor sky dive bought as a present and was a little wary as friends who had done this elsewhere had said it wasn't easy or hadn't enjoyed it however myself and my partner both in our 60 s i thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend doing it here. Our instructor Hayley was lovely so if youmwant to do this go here !! You will love it x
