I'm not even a customer and they are awful. The Newton Abbot manager has been writing to my daughter persistently since I placed my house on the market with a local agent to attempt to induce her to switch agents. Despite writing to him personally to advise my daughter has no proprietary interest in the property and requesting he stop writing to this address, he will not stop. He has recently written to offer his advice on marketing the property. It's remarkable that an agency that is manifestly incapable of grasping basic facts would believe I would select them as an agent.

Instructed Bradleys (Penzance) for a probate market appraisal. Raised detailed, evidence-based concerns about undervaluation, use of narrow comparables, and a procedural issue around paperwork being left at the property rather than issued to me as executor.
The Branch Manager refused to revisit the appraisal or meaningfully address the process concern, stating further correspondence would not be productive.
Difference of opinion is one thing; refusal to reflect or review when legitimate issues are raised is another. Very disappointing experience

I bought a house in Plymouth and liaised with the Mannamead office.
I could not fault them at all. I was kept informed at every stage which is so important as the buyer. All of the staff were knowledgeable, professional and very helpful.
I always recommend Bradley’s and would gladly purchase again from the Mannamead office.
This company invents viewings and then all of a sudden the viewers cancel on the day. They are not bright enough to give you a different excuse, and two of the viewers both had a major bereavements in their family considering we only had a potential of six viewing in 5 months, I feel we could have won the lottery more frequently.
When you decide to move estate agent they tell you you’re in contract so we wasted more time and even when the contract has ended they present you with a admin bill. USER BE VERY VERY AWARE ,!””!
Oh , what a response!! I really hope nobody has lost loved ones, but for Bradleys to use this as an excuse for false bookings is beyond comprehension. We trusted you and you gave us your market appraisal of the Property and we took your advised Price. Very weak response from a weak unreliable company so just take my word, read the other reviews. This is a money grabbing company that doesn’t deliver they make sure they get your money. If sold or not . STAY CLEAR.

A awful experience with the Liskeard branch, given 2 stars just because the sale actually happened.
First time buyers beware, buying a house is a stressful event in itself, but this company take it to a whole new level of miserable. Right from the off the pressure was put on due to not using there conveyancing or broker resulting in a lot of unnecessary phone calls and innuendo that the seller would pull out, if xy&z wasn't done by close of day. Then heard nothing for weeks due to ongoing issues with the seller to get harassing phone calls within hours of sending anything through to my solicitors.
sale finally went through no thanks to bradleys. Such a overly stressful experience will never deal with them again as a buyer or a seller not worth the hassle.

I am a landlord and have used Bradleys to manage my rental property for 6 years. Never again. To achieve a good re-let, I agreed to a very expensive redecoration with a contractor they secured. I discussed this over the telephone with them and was assured that my money (over 2k) paid in advance would not be released to the contractor until they had inspected. Now an employee (Shannon) denies this and says the employee who agreed this has left and there is no record of my call. Apparently it’s not within their remit to make sure the specified work has been completed to a good standard. If you are a landlord and don’t live close enough to your property to check, please don’t trust their maintenance team. Arrange it yourself with a contractor you trust or regret it.

We have just purchased a maisonette in Newton Abbot through Bradley’s and couldn’t fault them. They were attentive, prompt for appointments, and had dedicated personnel to help us complete. They replied quickly to all emails, and were cheerful and positive
every time we had to contact them.
In April I accepted an offer for my house below the asking price because the buyer said that he had sold his house and that there was no chain. The sale ought to have been quick. About 2 weeks later they said that there was a problem with their lender and they wouldn't be able to complete until the end of September. Reluctantly I had to agree to this.
At the end of July I complained to Bradleys on a Saturday afternoon, that I had heard nothing back from the purchasers solicitors and suggested that I could move out of the house and that it could be re-advertised at a higher price. I copied the email to my conveyancer who said that he had heard nothing and that they had probably not even started. I received a reply on Monday afternoon ignoring my re-advertising suggestion but proposed trying to move the completion date to August. I replied that, if they insisted on the September date I wanted to increase the asking price by £15,000 or the house was to be put back on the market. On Tuesday I received an email saying that the purchaser had replied stating that as I had previously agreed to the September date that it was binding. This implies that Bradleys also agreed with this. The date is not binding. Bradleys were only thinking about how quickly and easily they could get their commission. Bradleys had neglected to act on my instruction to increase the price. On Tuesday I told them that the price had to go up by £15,000 or the house was to be re-advertised the following Monday. No reply. On Thursday I asked them if they had actually told the purchaser that the price had gone up by £15,000. On Sunday I received an email from Bt saying that somebody had requested a take over of my land-line. I rejected it and forwarded to 2 of Bradleys staff. No reply on Monday.
They Neglected to tell the purchaser that the price had gone up. This denied me the opportunity to achieve a higher sale price. It also delayed stopping the purchasers solicitors working on it.
They neglected to put the house back on the Market.
They gave me incorrect information in that I had to comply with a completion date as I had previously accepted it.
on the Monday afternoon I had a meeting with the office manager to terminate the contract due to their total lack of service and that I could not trust them to act in my best interests in the future. I was told that he would send me an invoice for £240 as an admin fee for cancelling the contract. I told him that under no circumstances was he to do so for the reasons outlined above. He did.
I was then sent a threatening stating that I had to pay "else " they would pass it to their debt collectors.
I have now had to make a formal complaint to the one person I am complaining about.
I then complained about the time it was taking as all of them worked in the same office just a few feet apart. I was then told that the invoice was still valid and had to be paid.
I've reluctantly sent them a cheque and marked the invoice that it is in dispute, The complaint now has to go to their head office and then to the Property Ombudsman. It will be months before a decision is made.
It is now 3 September and I received the Complaint Final View Point from the head office. They still insist that as I had originally agreed to a late completion date it cannot be changed. This is absolute rubbish as nothing is agreed until it is included in Exchange of Contracts. They insist that me sacking them for Breach of Contract has nothing to do with their contract clause which requires an admin fee to be paid. Again this is rubbish. Also that as I had paid their invoice they could see no reason to give me a refund. I had clearly marked on the copy of the invoice I returned with my payment that it was in dispute. It did come out that the admin fee covered the cost of the EPC which I had forgotten about and have agreed that that cost should be deducted from the refund.
My insurance company legal adviser has said that I should now go to the Property Ombudsman as I have a good case.

Bradley was so patient when I bought my house and we worked through all the legal issues and delays that seemed to go on forever. I would highly recommend Bradley's Real Estate.
We used Bradleys in purchasing our property, the viewing went well all on time, however, come moving in day, we had to pack our old house and drive 5 hours with two active dogs in the car, we asked Bradleys could they meet us at the house with the keys or failing that put the keys in a taxi at our expense to our new house as we were concerned we might not make it before they closed the shop, and would add time to our long drive, no help at all, both suggestions refused stating “ we have to hand the keys to you personally “ this led to us leaving before our possessions were packed on the removal vans, a stressful fast drive and what should have been a pleasant day moving into a new Devon home was one of worry from start to finish.
They’ve had the commission and that’s where their interest ends, poor show.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, STAY AWAY. TIME WASTER AND BIG MESSER. WENT TO GO VIEW A UNIT AND HE WAS LATE. WE AGREED TO RENT IT FROM HIM. NEVER SENT PAPER WORK AND MESSED ME ABOUT OVER THE COURSE OF 3/4 MONTHS. GOT ALL THE SCREEN SHOTS ON MESSAGE. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL SENDING VOICE NOTES OVER ECT. HEARD TERRIBLE COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER ESTATE AGENTS. DONT EVEN DESERVE 1 STAR😂

Bradley’s, Mannamead Road Plymouth: superb service from all team members. Friendly and professional, made our house sale much less stressful than it could have been.
Trying to view rental properties and it seems I can't without giving them my inside leg measurement. What right does a company have to ask details of how much I have in savings before even offering a viewing?!

Really impressed with Bradleys,& in particular Christian and Jake. Very pleasant to deal with,& excellent at every step of the house selling process. Really good with feedback after viewing appointments. Can’t fault them.
I had a fiancée (from another country) who was living in a flat in Buckland and for purposes to do with maintaining her privacy, I decided not to follow-up with investigations until way after she was not around (following our mutual break-up). Time lapsed quickly.
Going back some years: I began to sleep overnight downstairs because she became nervous about the surroundings and for good reason...
The address is within an inlet, and a glass-back to the rear, with high-rise flats overlooking it and quite nearby, and some high trees around some areas to the garden with hedgerow amassed around the bottom of them and houses rising up above those trees which are connected to a road running parallel that winds around and down into the circle of houses in which this flat is located.
Alongside the flat is a walkway with a fence to the left, running the distance and leading to the side-gate, the same line of trees just beyond an encaged and unkept additional small patch of garden to the other side of that fence, the gate ahead, itself, when opened, beyond the sight of the other houses in that inlet.
The impression of discreet, when in fact an easily spied-on property with the private aspect being nothing but dangerous. I had been quietly aware of the problem, up until the following (I was once a security-guard in London Bridge, a chock-a-block part of the city, and so tend to notice things before they happen):
One evening, she knocks on my door, over the other side of Newton Abbot, enroute from working a long shift, and says that she has been home but found all her lights are not coming on. I agree to come with her and so she drives me to her flat.
She parks in the inlet, her usual space, and I get out and walk down the side of the address and I go to open the gate, no words spoken between myself and her up until I shout to her over my shoulder to return immediately into the car.
Because, as I stand there, the backdoor to the right of me directly facing the area to the left around the corner from the gate where I am stood, and which is unviewable from my position, footsteps on loose stones are heard by myself. As I shout, "There's someone here", the footsteps double-back and then I hear a rustling through the trees just beyond the loose stones.
We get back in the car and drive to the road parallel and wait for the police, post phone-call.
When they arrive, we follow them back into the inlet. They search around the trees yet can find no-one. They had taken twenty minutes to turn up and so by then whomever the trespasser was, was going to be easily gone. She laughed it off, while this lighter humour soon dissipated the next morning when electricians turned up and alerted her to the fact that her lights had been switched off at an electrical-point under a manhole-cover from outside the building.
The particularly eerie part, if that wasn't bad enough...while we were sitting along the road running parallel, waiting for the police, the car we were in quite low down, it being a Ford KA, and so myself unable to see this person's face, witnessed only five or so minutes after the event, a man walk past the car-window (on my passenger-side) and turn into one of the houses, carrying a metal fishing-tackle box while wearing a long fisherman's jacket (with a waterproof, waxy finish) with a suit and tie underneath. The look didn't jive for that time in the evening, with the apparel not really fitting together to make a normal picture.
I phoned Bradleys today and said that the flat needs to be inspected for reasons above, safety-speaking, and I pointed out the incident (I had also lost a book of notes, supremely important, which had been lent to this woman but mislaid) and they basically said they would do nothing.
So, there we are. That's Bradleys for you.

Very disappointed, we went to view a property to rent, everything was friendly until we asked if he accepted housing benefits. He then became quite rude and brush offish, clearly thinks people with less than him are beneath him. He walked us out of the property in silence and drove away without a word! We then waited 3 weeks for a response, when we phoned we were told he was looking for a working family to rent his property. Disabled people are just as trustworthy as working people! I would not recommend

Do not pay £200 for ‘professional’ photos!!! The ‘professional’ photographer used by the Brixham branch is an artist not a seller of houses. He hasn’t got a clue what a ‘good’ photo should look like when it comes to selling houses. Overuse of a drone footage which makes a small house look even smaller doesn’t help either and trying get the photos improved takes for ever as staff are all smiles in branch but little action. Go to Boyces - they don’t charge anything! Or Eric Lloyd - they charge a more reasonable £160 or better still take your own. It took me all of 30 seconds to take a lovely photo and I’m no professional.
