Hi Brad,
Thank you for taking the time to write this, and more importantly, please accept our sincere apology. Your first experience with us should have been simple and reassuring, and instead it was drawn out and frustrating. That's on us, and we understand why it cost us your larger order.
You're also right about the intercept, and we owe you a clear explanation of it. When a shipment's tracking goes stale with no movement for several days, we request a USPS package intercept/recovery. We do this to protect your order, a physical precious-metals asset, and because a recovery request is often the only way to get USPS to actively locate and investigate a package that appears stuck. In your case, the shipment happened to start moving again around the same time we requested recovery, and that request unfortunately pulled it back to us rather than forward to you. The intent was to safeguard your coin; the result was added delay, and we're sorry for that.
We also fell short in keeping you informed. A promised follow-up didn't reach you quickly enough, and we didn't explain clearly what was happening or why. Once your order returned to us, we reshipped it to you overnight at our expense, but by then we had already lost your confidence.
We're reviewing how and when we trigger these recoveries and how we communicate them, so no other customer goes through this. If you're ever open to giving us another look, we'd welcome the chance to earn back your trust.
