Good pricing, great sales. The big let down is the shocking after sales service and very cheap and poor quality products they sell from a manufacturer called EastBrook. Avoid the brand at all costs! Returning any unused items will cost the customer 25% re stocking fee plus courier fees! Contacting customer support after sales is almost impossible.
Buy at your peril, and hope you don’t have any problems!

Very competitive pricing. Needed to change my order. This was done quickly, easily and without fuss despite the fact the original order was already prepared for delivery.
Later I realised I hadn't had an updated invoice for my guarantee. One email request and the new invoice was in my inbox.

Sara is/was exceptional to work with, she guided us through the various aspects and had a lot of patience as we approached the project with a 'every detail' matters approach! So kudos to Sara for putting up with us. She designed and brought to life our requirements and vision using their great 3D tool which brought everything together. The end result was us being extremely comfortable in placing an order with her knowing we left no stone untuned... we are very excited to see everything installed.

She' is a credit to her company.

Aftersales is awful

Sales team was great but then once the payment was taken the whole aftersales process was a nightmare.

Sales orders and delivery notes were a mess and very difficult to reconcile. It was difficult to track what was being delivered when through different batches and our installation team had to waste a lot of time on the phone with the aftersales team.

We had incorrect orders being delivered and items delivered broken, which meant our installers had their work delayed. An item we ordered was out of stock for a year and customer service took weeks/months to reply to our emails. When we needed to exchange anything, the process was painful with the customer having to pay for the items again even though the exchanges were at the same price.

The at Richmond have been phenomenal from our initial design and concept meeting to delivery. The team is always a phone call away and offer advice and assistance if required. Our new bathroom is a statement within our renovation.

There is a common thread in the negative reviews. On occasion Bathrooms by Design lets down its customers with a poor post-sales service compounded by logistics/supply chain issues. The former of which is wholly within their control.

We visited BathroomsByDesign (Fulham) in early June for a design session with Nina. She did a great job putting a design together and recommended a fitter. Delivery was scheduled for early August.

After a week we noted that some very small parts (almost impossible to account for when signing for delivery) were missing. Replacement parts were sent two weeks later but sections were found to be in unsatisfactory condition (bent) and a vital connector part was still missing. This was brought to their attention in late August but took until November before we received the correct replacement parts.

In between the discovery of the missing parts and the final delivery was a game of email ping pong with various promises of 'being delivered to our warehouse this week' and radio silence for over eight weeks.

This significantly delayed the final completion of our bathroom. That said, it looks great and has added value to us.

Lastly, the company has an interesting interpretation of the 2015 consumer act and after a discussion with trading standards I would remind them that it places the burden of proof on the supplier; regardless of terms and conditions.

We were originally very excited about the bathroom process, but from what started as a great design process turned into a logistical nightmare for actually getting the items delivered.

We ordered and paid for our bathroom materials back in July 2024. Our sales representative, Terry, informed us that the bathroom materials would be reserved and held in the Bathrooms by Design (BBD) warehouse for up to a year (without any charge) and that these materials would be delivered on our nominated delivery date (once any remaining balance was cleared). We therefore proceeded on this basis with the understanding that the items we ordered were pre-ordered and so were locked in and would be available for our nominated delivery in due course.

However that was not the case. The day after we paid for the materials, we were informed that one of the tiles, which we had taken some time discussing / selecting, was no longer manufactured by the supplier. We would have thought that BBD would have been more proactive in only offering tiles that are actually still available from suppliers, so we had to spend time finding an alternative tile from a third party.

On Saturday 5 October I came down to the showroom to double check that all of the materials which we had ordered and paid for were in stock (given earlier issues) and I was informed that the Faber Zero toilet was no longer in stock and so this was swapped out to the Faber Venice toilet. No other issues regarding stock availability were raised. I then spoke to the Customer Service Team on 22 October to pay the balance of the order and I again made sure to check that the materials which I had selected would be available for delivery. I was not informed of any stock unavailability which would affect this delivery date. I therefore relied on the fact that there was no stock unavailability and booked my builder to commence works with the bathroom in November. Again, having paid back for all my items back in July it was my understanding that they were ready and waiting for me.

4 days prior to the nominated delivery date we received an email of items which would not be included in the delivery, which included the floor tiles and a few other items. This came with a huge shock as we were not made aware of any missing items in previous discussions with the Customer Services Team. We had already booked the builder and taken time off work that could not be moved at the last minute.

Upon raising this with BBD the immediate reaction was that there was likely nothing they could do and that I would have to wait until the items were in stock (4-5 weeks). Obviously I couldn’t wait as this would have caused significant delay to our project and would have forced us to incur additional costs. After countless phone calls and being passed around different teams I was finally able to expedite the delivery of the missing materials. However, it seemed ridiculous that it took me having to call a few times every day for BBD to agree to do this.

We were initially very happy with BBD during the sales process and albeit the price was higher than we would have liked, we thought the level of service we had been provided was worth the premium price tag. However, we are now extremely dissatisfied post-ordering the materials. This is due to the misinformation over the stocking / reservation of items. Had we known that stock is not actually pre-ordered and allocated to customers at point of order and that it only gets allocated a couple of days before a delivery is due we would not have placed an order. This is because it makes it impossible to line up builders, as you have no certainty as to whether the materials are going to actually arrive on the nominated delivery date.

Really lovely showroom and brilliant design phase where you can really get a feel for your bathroom. Jacob helped with our bathroom and was very professional and personable.

Walked into showroom in Richmond a few weeks ago to get a few ideas for my old tired and shabby bathroom. I was immediately welcomed and attentively assisted . Passed over to Hish who designed my bathroom , he really thought about every detail , was a fun experience and he played with a few different ideas trying to keep to my budget and getting the best look possible while taking on board all my requirements , adding his own ideas , I was not rushed,and properly listened to. It was really great to see on computer in 3 D to get proper idea, very easy to deal with, great honest advice, experienced and great to deal with , they use quality fitters and everyone takes a lot of pride in their work. I was happy with prices and discounts offered , and all the options were made clear. Really really enjoyed creating what should be a great bathroom , and seeing Hish’s ideas come to fruition ! He’s having a glass of bubbly on my loo when it’s done to toast his design and input!! I’m thrilled so far and it’s only just ordered , but I feel it in my bubble bath that it’s going to be a great one!!

Great service and lovely products. We had a 3 bathroom Reno and the team here were superb. Nicky went out of her way to always think of multiple solutions, liased with suppliers/ builders directly and always made us feel valued. Nothing was ever a problem. Thank you again

Nicky provided us with excellent service throughout. She came up with fantastic designs for our bathrooms nestled in the eaves of our home and was keen to help us to find the best possible solutions for our slightly complex spaces. The showroom is lovely and well worth visiting.

Maybe I have been unlucky but for me it's been a terrible experience. I bought a bathroom from them in April and I am still waiting for pieces.

Sara Reyes-Espinoza was my designer, and she's been amazing. No complaints there, if anything, great customer experience and we really felt we had designed the bathroom of our dreams.

Unfortunately things arrived late, pieces were missing. One of the cabinets arrived cracked and we did not notice during the delivery but we did during the installation, but it meant the wood filled with water and in a month the whole countertop was horrible and rotting.

I asked to get it replaced and I was told I had to buy a new one (I bought it elsewhere). Two flanges were missing and the shower mixer not working. I let them know and had to pay for extra ones. I also had to keep chasing to get those delivered.

I am giving two stars instead of one because Sara has been so amazing, but every other part of the service has been terrible and the quality is not as high as you would expect.
