Thank you, Joe.

Putting the bottles to work is the best kind of endorsement.
The weight you are describing is deliberate. Casks are selected for depth and structure, which is why the whisky holds its shape in a Premium Cocktail build rather than disappearing into it, and why it rewards a neat pour just as readily.

Great to know we have earned a place on your back bar.
We hope the next release finds the same welcome.

Thank you, Shaz.

Smoothness at that strength is not an accident. The Pedro Ximénez cask held a wine so dense it is nearly syrup, and Spanish oak carries that weight into the spirit as dried fruit and depth of colour rather than as heat. The cask does that work, not the bottler.

The pairing you found is the one we would have suggested. PX brings date and dried fruit that meets roast pork on its own ground, and sweetness and smoke have always kept good company. You arrived there without our guide, which is better than following it.

Communication and shipping are the least glamorous parts of a small house and the easiest to get wrong. We are glad they were invisible.

The next edition arrives in October. The register decides who hears first, and we would be glad to see your name on it.

Thank you, Jing Jie.

You have been reading us for some years now, across the archive and into the Premium Range, so this is not a first impression. It is a verdict formed over years and a good many casks. That is a different thing, and a rarer one.

You are right to put John's name to the casks. He spends more time looking for oak than most houses spend making whisky, and the search ends in no far more often than in yes. Love is a generous word for what is mostly patience and refusal.

Compromise is easy to avoid in principle and hard to avoid in practice. Every Baroque release is drawn from a single cask and never repeated, so there is no batch to hide behind and nothing to average out. A cask either earns its bottling or it does not.

You have tasted enough of them to know when one has. That you still find the standard holding is the sentence we will keep.

Thank you, Max. Every collector's shelf tells a story, and there is a particular moment in it that no house can manufacture: the bottle where whisky stops being a drink and becomes a pursuit. That you found something of that moment in ours is an honour we do not take lightly.
The curious undertone you noticed is the cask talking. Your bottle came from a limited American oak barrel release, and much of what lingered on your palate was drawn from that wood, and from the spirit it held before ours, over years of patience. No two of our casks are alike, and none is ever repeated, so the next Baroque you try will be a different conversation entirely.
Starting with a dash of water and arriving at none is the oldest journey in whisky, and you are travelling it at exactly the right pace: slowly, neat, an evening at a time. We look forward to accompanying the road ahead.

Thank you, Nate. There is a particular tension every collector knows: the sealed bottle on the shelf and a trusted friend telling you exactly what you are missing. We are glad the decision is at least a difficult one.
Every Baroque release is drawn from a single cask and individually numbered, so the condition your bottle arrived in matters as much to us as what is inside it. It is good to hear the packaging did its job.
Your bottle will wait patiently. When the right occasion arrives, we hope it exceeds even your friend's account. And when the next release is announced, your place on the register is assured.

Thank you, Kunwar. You have named the very things we hold ourselves to. Every Baroque release is drawn from a single cask, limited to a small number of individually numbered bottles, and never repeated, so each order is handled as the only one of its kind, from payment through to the courier's hands.
We are especially pleased the whisky itself delivered. The bottle is the promise; the pour is the proof.
When you are ready for the next release, we will be here. Welcome to the register.

Thank you. A reader of every chapter is the finest compliment a house like ours can receive. Because each Baroque release is drawn from a different single cask and never repeated, consistency across releases is the hardest standard to hold, and the one we care about most. That you have found no weak pour among them means the standard is holding.
The next release will be worth the wait.

Thank you, Jeen. Yours is the kind of palate we bottle for. Care taken early in the process cannot be added later, and it cannot be hidden either: fermentation length, distillation cut, dilution water and the moment of bottling all leave their signature in the glass. It means a great deal that you can read them there.
That you have tasted across several of our releases, each from a different single cask, and found the same attention in all of them tells us the discipline is travelling with every bottle, including the ones that cross oceans to reach you.
