EDIT: their reply is a lie to cover themselves up. They asked for a photo and I provided the blanket photo. They then tried to tag the second order to this and say this photo is for second order which it was not. They argued more silently accusing me of being a scammer - then days later wanted more photos of box and shipping label to which I finally refused because they still had not even issued a replacement or anything else. The owner called and cursed me out using the f word multiple times and threatened me that he will take this to the extreme and that im a “f word” scammer- yeah that’s sooooo professional of a company. That Australian owner should learn how to speak to people, and not threaten customers. Also the second order was shipped to another address to prevent this exact issue from happening . If I wanted to scam I would have changed the billing address also but I didn’t. They have assumed I’m a scammer from the first email- that’s a terrible way to run your business to be so accusatory in your emails from the start. But let them have their moment and lie to you guys. Any owner who would curse a customer out who didn’t curse them out or use profanity is a company that no one is going to want to buy from or trust. Furthermore let’s clarify multiple inaccurate lies they made- they asked for a photo of the wrong item, then argued with me in emails for multiple days and made NO attempt to call me like they stated until I left multiple voicemails to speak to the owner.(I have the screenshots and call logs I can prove from my phone Carrier) and then finally after a week of this ask for a picture of the box and label which I then refused because they had wasted my time by this point and already were starting to accuse me of scamming then . Regardless of what they think I’m doing, you don’t curse a customer out and defame them on speaker infront of your other employees. CEO’s name is Morgan Drew, he claims he’s the owner/ part owner, but all logs online state he is the CEO and woman by the name of Julia is the founder and owner. Either way if your CEO speaks to customers like that you got a huge anger issue and problem. I’m sure your customers/the owner/ any potential investors or future buyers wouldn’t be too happy knowing the CEO is throwing derogatory curse words and defamatory statements at customers. But oh well, time will shortly tell.
Original post: Do not buy!!! Customer service is TERRIBLE!!!! I bought a dog bed and a cover they sent me a blanket. I ended up not letting my dog use the blanket but opened it just to feel it and liked it so bought one on another order in the mean time. They contacted me back essentially trying to accuse me of using the second order as a return for the first order(dog bed/cover). They randomnly tagged my other order that was shipped to a different address and under a different email and tried to make it look like I’m trying to commit theft and steal from them. They’ve been nothing but unhelpful, played victim, and still want more pictures to “investigate” how about initiate a return label and you can see for yourself when I ship back what you sent me. All this multiple picture BS is
Unprofessional and a waste of your customers time. Then the agent wanted to file a UPS claim for a lost package even though I’m saying, I received a package with the same tracking number and it is not a dog bed or cover so if anyone is trying to commit a crime, it would be the agent for filing a false claim. Then the agent argued with me that the picture shows the box and you can clearly see the dog bed and the linen cover in the photo and then proceeds to send me the UPS proof of delivery photo where you see four boxes from multiple different stores and you can’t make out a single word on any of the boxes, but the agent seemingly has better than 2020 vision and can read any pixelated image and make out the exact wording on the box that says dog bed and Barney cover. Two weeks later & the want more photos but have yet to fix the issue.

I have two bullmastiffs, I purchased the XXL bed in hopes that they both would sleep on it. They basically refuse to sleep on the bed. Even after trying to put a pillow and a comforter on top of the bed, they would rather sleep on the carpet than the bed. I have several other beds from other companies (Orvis, Mammoth) that they sleep on for hours. I don't have an issue with the company but there is no way I would recommend spending the amount of money I did for a bed that the dogs do not like. Hard to know what your dogs will like, but in my case it was a costly mistake. The company has told me multiple times it could take time for your dogs to adjust to the new bed. After four plus months of trying to get them to use it, I highly doubt that more time will fix anything. I tried removing the old beds, washing the new bed, placing articles of clothing that had a familiar smell on the bed, none of those worked. After washing the cover and putting it back together today, it is also the hardest bed to put back together that we have owned. Also the mattress is very firm which I think contributes to my dogs not wanting to lay on it.
The bed is so large that I could not possibly put it where the old beds were. It is also very heavy and difficult to move, another consideration to take into account if you are considering purchasing the biggest bed. I purchased a new bed for them to sleep on at night and have had no issues.

The quality seems to have changed for the covers. Got a new one in the Boxing Day sales and it’s loose and just looks terrible. Disappointing when a brand clearly cuts costs but not the price paid

ATTENTION: POTENTIAL BARNEY BED BUYERS - THIS IS YOUR WARNING
I wasn't really sold on this bed to begin with - the lack of information and transparency on their website alongside the self-glazing was already ringing my alarm bells. Flicking between their product pages and the FAQs, you'll find countless contradictions about what their product actually is and how it's meant to perform.
The only reason I bought it was because they offered a size small enough to fit inside my dog's crate and my partner convinced me it would be "a lifetime purchase" and "better than buying her something from Bunnings." We were so wrong. Having this bed side-by-side to our other dog beds, I'm wondering what on Earth I got for my $474.
To start off, you can't buy the bed with the particular cover/colour you want. You have to buy the cover in addition to buying the complete bed system. When it first arrived, their original 'Bonded Microfibre, 3x thicker than other dog bed' literally disintegrated before my eyes in about 30 seconds after giving my dog a peanut butter treat to entice her to use the bed. She dropped it and her licking the surface of the bed, burnt a hole in it in literal seconds.
So I got the alternative cover out to swap them over immediately. Then I find out I have to pull apart and reconstruct the entire bed in order to put the 'cover' on. And the worst part - when I pulled the bed apart, I find out their 'luxury Orthopaedic' secret is cheap polyurethane foam. Literally the same stuff you get in Kmart beds. Are you joking? No visible layers or support system. Just a cheap, nasty, flat, foam slab. They are actually delusional.
The bed arrived on the 30th of July. The foam is still yet to expand despite me leaving the bed out untouched for several weeks. An issue several of their customers have that they refuse to address or correct. I took a handheld steamer to the foam at one point in an attempt to get it to expand, still hasn't budged. Their website claims I shouldn't even have to take the cover off in order for it to return to its original size and should fully expand within 7 days. And what are their covers made of? 100% polyester. Real high-quality stuff.
I've seen some of their other responses to reviews that question the quality of the product. They claim that the foam brick is 'intentionally like that to prevent sag and support weight' which is complete baloney.. Their competitors are offering 10yr no sag guarantees on actual supportive layered systems so they're just cheaping out to maximise profit. The more you read about the founder, the more this claim is confirmed. Another Sydney princess thinking she can drop-ship Alibaba products for an exorbitant price. I had a belly laugh at their FAQs desperately trying to convince everyone their beds made in China are 'definitely not a cheap product or drop-shipped.’
Rest assured, I've communicated all of the above issues directly to them. In their response, they just wanted to argue with me about the quality of the foam and essentially told me 'I received exactly what I paid for - definitely a high quality product, don't even worry about it.' You're so right guys, my experience is definitely what I would call high quality. Didn't realise my $474 dog bed would come with all this extra labour and frustration. Is that complimentary or will I find that listed somewhere on my invoice? Can I opt for the low effort option next time and save myself some money?
Admittedly, they have offered me a refund... "Because we wouldn't want you to be stuck with a purchase you're unhappy with, provided the bed hasn't been used." DING, DING, DING!! Yes, because my dog laid on the bed for 5 minutes prior to me changing the cover and then cracking the sads and throwing it into the garage to collect dust, I am now in fact stuck with a purchase I'm unhappy with. Because little miss entitlement expects everyone to drive over to bloody Paddington to try before you buy, otherwise just get what you get and don't get upset, right?
More and more people in this country are behaving like her with this 'landlord mentality' like they have a right to scam people out of their money to fund their exorbitant lifestyles, never work another day in their lives and take zero accountability. It is absolutely disgusting, un-Australian and I will be going to social media next. Absolutely sick to death of being tricked into supporting businesses like this.
This woman and her company are an absolute scam and she is in breach of Australian Consumer Guarantees and Protections. They have ignored my request for a refund so I guess they're happy to cover the cost of an ACCC probe?
BUY LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE BUT A BARNEY BED. YOU WILL PROBABLY GET SOMETHING PRICED ACCORDINGLY & WON'T LOSE ANY SLEEP

As a Canadian from the other side of the world. I wouldn't purchase from them again. The value is in USD (which is nearly double in CAD). I spent over $1000 USD for two dogs. I referenced their size chart - NOT accurate. I think it's because the bolsters are really big and added to the inner part being much smaller, yet taking up a LOT of space. I got a large for my medium-large rescue (no particular breed). It did seem large-ish but I thought ok could fit.... This is where I went wrong. I didn't pay enough attention to their next to impossible return policy. I get my beds - open the box and it's vacuum sealed so kind of hard to gage size. I pull it out and eye it and cut the plastic seal and it starts opening. By the time it is fully open it looks massive. My dog who matched their sizing chart only took up half the bed and it was very, very large.
I ask for a refund since these beds are not cheap! and that I would re-buy a medium (I wanted my beds to match).
I quickly googled and it turns out many people do not like their return policy - because it states you cannot return a mattress once it has had the air removed from the seal. They say they can't be re-shrunk for shipping - so too bad for you.
So I buy some vacuum seal bags and a sealer from amazon. Bam - now it's resealed. NOPE...to soon! because it was removed from the original plastic. They don't do returns due to "hygiene". FOR REAL - they are dogs. The brand new mattress (for humans) i just bought was the same (foam) and what they do is they take their returns - and work with local charities who will take them.
It's called good marketing and customer service. So I guess, buyer beware.
The best dog bed company ever!! I've just ordered my second dog bed for upstairs. Wouldn't buy another brand!

I encountered a minor issue when our Barney curl arrived, which caused part of the bolster not to inflate properly. I contacted customer service, and they responded the same day. After exchanging a few messages regarding potential solutions that didn’t work, they promptly arranged for a replacement piece. The process was seamless, and I didn’t feel like I had to jump through hoops to resolve the defect. Working with customer service was a pleasure, and the bed is just perfect for my dog, matching exactly what was advertised online.

I love the ease of the Barney bed and the options you have with the covers. I’m one that looks for quality of product, functionality, and something that goes with my aesthetic. The Barney bed is an investment piece, it’s a bed that provides long-term comfort for my dogs (12 yrs, 7 yrs, and 1 yr). They are pieces that will last for years to come so the price is worth it. The covers are quality materials too and I love that it’s easy to clean the beds more regularly and spice up the look of them with different materials and covers. I don’t sacrifice on my dog’s health- they are family, so a top quality bed is necessary!

I originally ordered just a cover by accident, and received great customer support allowing me to return and get credit towards buying the correct bed.
The Barney Curl bed has been so perfect for our cattle dog who loves to curl up. The fabric is so high quality and a gorgeous color. I'll be buying another for our second dog (who loves to steal this bed!).

My dog and I love the Barney bed! Not only is it great for my dogs posture and joints, but we have the cooling cover which keeps her cool in summer as she sleeps hot. The cover is so easy to spot clean or throw in the wash! And of course the bed is super stylish and sleek - it looks great in our living room.
