I had the most incredible experience with Keng at The Bamboo Rooms in Otley. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. Keng is originally from Thailand, and his authenticity really shines through in his bamboo tattooing—he’s a true master of his craft.

His communication was fantastic; he really took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and made me feel completely at ease throughout the whole process. The level of care, precision, and skill he brings is honestly next level.

The tattoo itself is beautiful, and the whole experience felt really special and unique. I couldn’t recommend Keng highly enough—if you’re considering a bamboo tattoo, this is absolutely the place to go.

I honestly cannot recommend The Bamboo Rooms highly enough. I have used Keng numerous times over the years, going right back to when he was based in Shipley, where myself and Tracy had our very first tattoos. Since then I have also had work done by him in Koh Samui, and Tracy has had tattoos by him both in Koh Samui and in Otley.

Keng is an absolute master of his craft. His design work is excellent, his attention to detail is second to none, and the whole experience always feels calm, professional and personal. The bamboo technique is incredible — the work heals so quickly compared with a normal machine tattoo. I have even had a tattoo done and been in the pool a couple of hours later with no issues at all.

What makes The Bamboo Rooms even more special is the people. Keng and Lauren are not only brilliant at what they do, they are genuinely lovely people and have become good friends over the years. Every visit feels welcoming, relaxed and completely trustworthy.

Whether you are in Koh Samui, Otley, or travelling specifically for a tattoo, I would not go anywhere else. First-class designs, first-class work and first-class people. Highly recommended.

Excellent tattoo, great service

I’ve been going here since they opened in the UK around 18 years ago and the work is always perfect. Even the work that 18 I had done years ago, still looks new. The colors and lines haven’t faded at all.

This is my 4th tattoo at Bamboo Room Tattoo, and once again I’m extremely happy with the result. Ajarn Keng did an incredible job with the line work on this leg piece. The details are very clean, precise, and perfectly balanced. You can tell he has many years of experience and takes a lot of pride in his craft.

The design flows naturally with the shape of my calf and the symmetry is excellent. Ajarn Keng was also very professional throughout the process and made sure everything was placed exactly right before starting.

Keng is just the best bamboo artist for me, he has a beautiful and clean studio and is truly a Master. We met him 8 years ago, he tattooed us several times and we love to hang out with him. I really recommend him if you want a special experience.

Recently had a tattoo with Ajarn Keng at his Otley studio. It was a great experience and the bamboo method wasn't painful at all. I will definitely be back.

Keng, has recently finished my tattoo. He is a genius artist who has done a beautiful piece for me. The piece is for my Grandma and he’s done a wonderful job.
