Poor service at the Palace in St Moritz
The history and location are well documented.
The service is less well-documented. Having stayed at 5 other hotels in St Moritz over the years, this is the worst in terms of price v service. This includes the Kempinski, Kulm, and other hotels that would not normally see themselves in the same category. Having raised concerns about the service and asked for resolutions and contact, I felt ignored, and in fact, virtually no effort was made to contact me over 2 days. Avoid the cocktail bar where you may have to wait a very long time to be served and may not even get any service at all - 90 min we waited for them to take a food order, which in the end they never took despite asking 3 times! Still don't know why - maybe they felt I needed to lose some weight!
Breakfast similar sort of dismissive attitude.
Terrible F&B service. The F&B manager, Mr Peters, did not address the issues, provided little support, and nothing was resolved.
Overall, my impression was that the staff were not bothered about providing high-quality service, and as such, I would not stay there again or recommend it to others. There are other hotels with the same view but better service.
