Migrating from HCL Notes Email and File Server to Microsoft 365
Working with Babble on our HCL Notes to Microsoft 365 email migration and on-premises file server to SharePoint migration looked simple on paper. The small details caused real complications and added pressure throughout the project.
The team migrated our mailboxes, files and device management across to Microsoft 365, covering Intune, Exchange Online and SharePoint, with everything tested and validated before go live.
Babble kept the team lean, with Daniel as Technical Lead and Johannes as PM, which suited a project of this size.
Daniel, the Technical Lead, made a strong difference. He is knowledgeable, methodical and a natural problem solver, guiding the technical work with skill and keeping us informed at every stage. He provided clarity on areas we were not familiar with. Daniel was a genuine asset to this project.
Having a PM on board ensured minimal distractions for Daniel and kept him focused on the migration. Johannes managed meetings, issues and escalations internally, which meant the tech team could focus on delivery. A PM is definitely worth considering for any project planned to run more than six weeks.
Whilst we took longer than planned, we are satisfied with the end result thanks to the team.
