Poor communication

Once you agree a sale they keep you waiting for two weeks, give misleading information , got me to sign for finance based on a video and have failed to send me requested after sales information. Once they have hooked you they don’t care. I WOULD LIKE TO ADD THAT THEY ACTUALLY LIE TO PLACATE YOU WHEN YOU PHONE UP WITH QUERIES. A senior me member of staff at another branch told me he has spoken to the workshop and that the guy responsible for handovers , Dave had confused my car with another Peugeot and that mine didn’t need the new Callipers, when I finally got the after sales info Leo and behold there is a receipt for said Callipers. Makes me wonder how legit it’s MOT was. The jury is still out.

Cowboys and charlatans avoid avoid

Had a car 5 months when things started going wrong ,they told me warranty was 3 months finance co said its 6 months autozone booked car in Thames cancelled my appointment and basically gave me the finger next stop is trading standards please if they lose 1 sale I will be happy to have saved someone from the grief of having to deal with these cowboys

Review of service after purchase of a car that is now unfit to drive.

This review is to bring to your attention the experience I have been having and an unanswered complaint that I have had lodged with Autozone since the 12th of June, the car was purchased on the 12th of April. On the website it shows “ (please allow 5-7 working days for a formal written response)” for complaints, no contact has been made despite multiple calls, and promises of a call-back, nothing has happened.

On another chase call the lady who answered advised that the email (Which had been sent again) had been forwarded to the head of business to review. Multiple calls made since then have been to no avail, no contact has been attempted from Autozone.

The main issue is that the,
• The vehicle began running poorly. I was advised to have it diagnosed and was assured that AutoZone would cover the cost.
• Following diagnosis, I was informed that the car had been mis-fueled, allegedly causing the engine damage. Based on this, the warranty claim was denied, and I was told I would be responsible for the repair costs.

However, I have never mis-fueled the vehicle. The only plausible explanation for the engine’s incompatibility with E10 fuel (Autozone stated that was the wrong fuel) is that the car had been modified. At no point was I informed of any modifications, nor were any disclosed in the advertisement or documentation, even the supplied Vauxhall user manual states to use E10.

The vehicle was listed on the Autozone site as:

Vauxhall Corsa 2015/*REG Number Removed* 1.6i Turbo VXR Hatchback Manual Euro 6 (205ps)
There was no mention of modifications in the listing, sales documents, or during the sales process. Had I known the vehicle was modified, I would not have proceeded with the purchase.

As there was no contact from Autozone, despite numerous calls and the complaint being lodged multiple times, the lender was approached.

The lender sent an independent engineer to investigate the faults, the result is that the car was NOT mis-fueled. The reason Autozone denied the warranty claim is invalid, the information from the manufacturer and the independent engineer obtained by the lender indicates that the car, as sold by Autozone as a Vauxhall Corsa 2015/*Registration remove* 1.6i Turbo VXR Hatchback Manual Euro 6 (205ps) should run fine on E10 fuel, that was the fuel that was used in the car.

The only reason Autozone could state that the car was mis-fueled would be if the car was modified, that car was advertised and sold as standard, see above, these details are from a screen shot of the car advertisement when the car was being looked at as a possible purchase.

Quote from the lenders letter containing the results of their investigations,
“The engineer’s report, however, does confirm that there was no evidence of mis-fuelling the vehicle. As you advised that this was the factor preventing a warranty claim to assist with the costs of the repairs required, I have sent a copy of the engineer’s report to the selling dealer and asked that they look to support you through your warranty.”

That report has been sent to Autozone, as stated above in the quote from the letter from the lender.
No contact, emails, letters or calls has been received from Autozone since this information was provided by the lender to Autozone.

This whole situation is unacceptable, the car developed the fault just outside the 30 day period within which a vehicle could be returned as not fit for purpose. The car has neither been mistreated nor abused in any manner, it now sits SORN as it is unfit to be driven.

The reason Autozone denied the warranty claim was that they stated the car had been mis-fueled, that is a fabrication, the information from both the lenders independent engineer and the manufacturer is that the car is fine to run on the fuel that was used, in this case E10.

The warranty should be honoured and the vehicle repaired or all monies refunded and the vehicle reclaimed by Autozone.

This company has no morals or quality control, they repeatedly say whenever a call is made that there are no managers on site to speak to, that seems to be a common theme in negative reviews on here.

Don't waste your time and money with these people, they will constantly fob you off and ignore you. Inadequate service, Service Level Agreements in relation to customers? they quite possibly have no idea what one is.

This issue is still ongoing.

Update as of 20/08/2025,

Issue still ongoing, Autozone now changed reason to refuse warranty to cylinder 3 fault, their last excuse was mis-fueled car.

They state that that is reason to refuse the warranty cover, as it wasn't present at purchase. Really? That's what warranty is for, faults that develop within a specific period, that weren't there at purchase.

In this case all documentation points to the Issue with the engine being covered by warranty

From choosing the car to sorting finance and collecting the car I was kept well informed through all the process everything was fast and easy and nothing was to much for them.
When I collected the car they dealt with Emmy she was very friendly and explained everything that was needed, was offered drinks and kept comfortable throughout. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you Emmy.

Shocking

Shocking. Avoid at all costs.

We've had our car since end of march and already had sensor issues due to an internal fault and now the rear view mirror and sensors are all hanging down. Clearly never bonded properly onto the car windscreen.

I've just spoken with Beth in after sales and she hung up on me because it was 5pm sign off time and she didn't like me being frustrated. I never swore or got irate, I was frustrated yes, but absolutely no reason to hang up and be unprofessional on a customer.

Jill on the front reception was equally as rude.

Just avoid at all costs. It's going to cost us about a grand to fix our car in the space of 3/4 months

Don't bother even with a guantor owning there own house i was refused waste of time. They get your hopes up then blow you out bad credit finance who are you kidding.
