Autotech are an outstanding company to work with. I joined them nearly two years ago and have never looked back. Ben Thompson is an absolute star and a pleasure to deal with.

Don't listen to all the rigmarole about working for yourself... the agency staff get mardy & it's basically like working for a company when you are unable to make it in due to child care or they want to send you 50miles away for the same money as when you was travelling 0.5miles away. Come up with excuses about cars coming back when you ring the company direct they don't know what your taking about. Don't let this typical "agency" talk you into working for them or let them make out they have tuns of work. Because they dont! Don't fall for there sales talk!

P.s if your wanting to contract do it for yourself much more money & not wasting 6, 7pounds an hour for these!

Even though going self-employed can be a bit taunting at first, for me, it was the best career move I've made so far and I'm definitely not looking to go back into full-time employment, working for someone else. I've been working with Autotech for nearly 3 years now and Ben has been keeping me busy pretty much all year around, except when I need time off. If you need flexibility that your full-time employer doesn't want to accommodate, you may as well give Autotech a go! Thank you for everything you've done for me so far.

I’ve been working for Autotech since September 2019 and have been constantly employed. Some contracts near and some far but the difference shows in the pay.
If you’re unsure if it for you or not, just give it a try.

This was my second time of being a contract Mot Tester for Autotech Recruit and although 7 years apart both times have been a great experience. I have found them to be a professionally run company with excellent communication. I set the radius in which I was prepared to travel and Autotech accommodated me with plenty of work within my parameters, That said I have been offered contracts outside my radius but when declined there was never any pressure to accept. I would receive a monthly email asking my availability for the coming month and they would allocate me contracts to suit my availability and payment was weekly. The plus side is that I could work as and when I wanted which suited me perfectly. Autotech as a company offer a wide range of training so if I ever wanted to increase my skill set the help was there.

Great company to work for, regular work and good support

These guys were helpful and info comprehensive BUT: check your actual “take home” pay; after the myriad of their deductions, and your own, including your fuel etc., I was actually making just marginally more than the minimum wage. Ok so it helped me out of a hole for a while but I would only go back if there was zero chance of me working anywhere else. Which is desperately unlikely anymore. Addendum: Most of the places I went to work via Auto Tech were ok.

Six months with the team and they have kept me busy the whole time. I’m semi retired so after three or four day weeks and they’ve been happy to arrange that.

Work is not always on your door step. Be prepared to travel or stay away from home .
That’s the nature of contracting .
Good rate of pay ( it’s only natural, for wanting more 😁 )

Only Two Regrets are,
I should have started Autotech sooner and one of my consultants - The Football Team he supports 🤪.

Only been with company a short time and cannot fault the professionalism of everyone I’ve encountered and the speed in which they have answered any of my questions.

I've been working with autotech for over a year, the pay rates great compared to working directly for the garages. They also provide brand training which increases your hourly rate..

The places you work can range from 15 minutes from your house to staying away for a few weeks.
There is a balance to it.

Working away I get an amazing weekly income that allows me to have more social time on the weekends. Where as when working close to home the moneys still good and I'm home at a reasonable hour I can still enjoy a life

NO more struggling to find space for overtime to get good money to then not be able to spend it because I have no time.

Very helpful staff, who are always at the end of the phone when needed. They helped me with all my questions when I started contracting and gave me all the advice required with how to do my paper work for wages. Highly recommended. A*
