I own a small business and engaged this company to design and host my website. During the sales process and website launch, I was clearly advised that there would be no maintenance costs for the first year, and I paid for the website and hosting based on that understanding.

However, only a couple of months after the website went live, I was unexpectedly asked to pay an additional $2,000 for security patches. As a small business owner whose business is not currently generating income, this came as a complete surprise. I was never expecting significant additional costs so soon after the project was completed.

I trusted the company and paid for the website creation and hosting in good faith. I was also informed that if I do not pay for the security patching, they may not continue supporting the website, which could result in the site being taken offline.

I am disappointed with this experience and the lack of clarity regarding ongoing costs. I believe these costs should have been clearly explained upfront before I committed to the service. As a result, I am considering seeking advice from Fair Trading.

I was very happy with the final product. There were many edits along the way and they were completed without fuss.

After prompting, the "consultant" provide the ABN 13 133 428 780 which states its an Indivual / Sole Trader, yet their website claims to have over 135+ website professionals working for them.

I saw that aussifywebdesign.com.au were advertising on Google ads for complete websites $199, when I click on the ad they then told me the price for a basic 2 page website was going to be $500+ and said if I wanted extras such as mobile responsiveness it would cost even more!

I told the person that it was misleading and deceptive for false advertising and they then became very aggressive and rude and said if I could not afford it then I should go elsewhere, talk about bad customer service.

They would also not give me their ABN as I wanted to check if they were in fact an Australian business as there are a lot of scammers out there.

I am not sure how they're in business with such bad customer service yelling at someone who is simply asking questions, I'm glad I did not go with them, I could only imagine how hard it would be to work with them.
