Job was really quickly booked. Our electrician, Freddie Roberts, was friendly, professional, efficient, knowledgeable and completed the jobs to a good standard. The only thing preventing 5 stars was that the automatic text notification to say our electrian was on the way didn't arrive until after the job was completed- would have been helpful to have a more accurate ETA. But otherwise the work itself very good.

From the outset our experience was fantastic. Ross arrived early and took us through everything. We were able to decide where things needed to go and were supported with Ross' knowledge throughout. We had an ongoing issue with our kitchen circuit that another firm had failed to fix, so we called Assured Electrical, Kriss came out the same day and quickly identified and resolved the problem with real professionalism and care.
The office staff were helpful too, arranging everything within just a few hours of my call and keeping me updated throughout. The whole experience was smooth, friendly, and reassuring from start to finish.

Given the general 5 star reviews, I'd had high hopes. They promised to attempt to fix my shower and, if that wasn't possible, fit a replacement (with the initial cost covering all labour, but with an additional cost for the new shower unit, if needed). They took my payment of £203 (inc. VAT) upfront and booked me in for a 7.30-8am slot the following week. I rearranged my work diary and forwent my morning to be available. When no one turned up, I rang and was told my electrician was running behind on another job but that they would arrive by 11am at the latest.
No one turned up until ~1pm, explaining to me that they'd booked the morning off and had asked the office to inform/rearrange with customers. After looking at the shower for a couple of minutes (at most) they said the only thing they could tell me is whether electricity was going in and out of the shower - obvious to all, as the lights had been flashing - but that they had no expertise in fixing showers. As such, the only option they could offer was to put in a new shower. I rang the office and, by chance, got through to the CEO. I explained my frustration with the service. After a tense and difficult conversation in which I had to really stand my ground.. to their credit they did agree to refund me £150 (which is why I'm giving them two stars, instead of one).
I later discovered that to get a repair on a shower - unless it's clearly an issue with the mains electricity or the plumbing (in which case you'd need a plumber) - you need to go direct to the manufacturer to see if they offer a repair service. Assured Electricians (and other electricians) should be upfront that they simply don't have the expertise to fix showers and instead direct prospective customers to check with the shower manufacturers first, rather than take people's money under false pretences.

To clarify, electricians are able to diagnose and confirm whether an electric shower fault is related to the electrical supply. Internal faults within the shower unit itself are manufacturer-specific and cannot usually be repaired by electricians; these require either manufacturer repair services or replacement of the unit. We accept that this limitation should have been communicated more clearly at the time of booking, and we are reviewing our booking process and wording to ensure this is explained upfront in future.
We acknowledge the delay on the day and the confusion around scheduling, and we appreciate you recognising that a partial refund was agreed as a gesture of goodwill. Your feedback has been taken seriously and will be used to improve both communication and customer expectation setting going forward.
