Where to begin, unfortunately this is the 2nd time I’ve had to claim for the theft of an ebike in the same year. Ellie Kyle yet again has made this as pain free as possible and I can’t thank her enough. I’m unfortunately now probably going to be uninsurable with them, wait and see. I can’t recommend Assetsure enough, if you need insurance then honestly look no further. 🙏🤞 hopefully they will renew me next month.

I recently purchased camera insurance through Assetsure and was extremely disappointed with how unclear and confusing the whole process turned out to be.
On their own website, under the “Your Questions Answered – Claims” section for camera insurance, they clearly state that the excess is £50 for amateur photographers and £250 for professionals. However, this was completely different from what appeared in the Policy Schedule I received.
The schedule I was given contained several inconsistencies and contradictions. It listed an excess of £100 per insured item, yet in another section titled "Excess", it stated "In the event of making a claim against an item, the amount of excess which is payable is £0." These internal contradictions made it impossible to understand what I was actually covered for.
When I contacted Assetsure, they admitted that the excess stated on their website was incorrect and simply “an error.” They also acknowledged mistakes within the Policy Schedule itself. I was then told that the real excess was £100 per claim—something neither the website nor the schedule reflected accurately.
Given the number of mistakes, unclear terms, and contradictory information, my confidence in Assetsure has been completely undermined. In my opinion, this level of carelessness is unacceptable for an insurance provider. Based on my experience, I do not consider them reliable or trustworthy.
I would strongly advise others to double-check everything before buying a policy, as my experience with Assetsure has been both frustrating and disappointing.
That said, I want to be clear that the people I spoke with from Assetsure about this issue were polite, understanding and sensitive to my predicament. My dissatisfaction is with their processes as opposed to their service.
