60 years as friends after meeting at school needed a special celebration and I choose to book the Gin School at Ashling Park followed by a Sunday lunch and what a fantastic day the 8 of us had .
We all met 60 years ago in the classroom so it was a fitting location to celebrate back in the classroom.
Our teacher for the day was Albert and what a fine teacher he was , he made it fun , interesting and at the end of it all we took a bottle of gin home that we made .
In my case it didn’t taste as nice as the Ashling Park gin that was provided throughout the lesson .
After the class off to the restaurant for Sunday lunch .Stunning views over the vineyard , a lunch as good as anything on offer in my opinion in West Sussex however my highlight was the restaurant team who were seamless in their execution and just made it all extra special.
If you haven’t visited , get down there and enjoy the ambiance of a business that does really put the customer first .
Thank you Ashling Park for making our celebration one to remember and a memory that will always be with us .

Came for coffee and cake. Wonderful setting coffee is just like any other cafe cakes were a bit dry but not horrendous we had millionaires slice and coffee and walnut. What let this down was the lack of menus we had an elderly lady with us and she was unable to walk into the cafe after we had already seated her. What really let this down was the lack of any customer service. There was no greeting just a What are you ordering? The girl was so sourfaced (perhaps she is having a bad day and we were just unlucky) she was unhelpful and plain rude.

Tour & Wine tasting. Beautiful modern vineyard to see & enjoy. Amelie was a great guide, very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Good section of wines to experience. We stayed for lunch in the restaurant, where the food was excellent and great service. I would recommend both. Keen to try the Gin School next !
