Returns are a huge pain!
I already had the Arena Strength resistance bands, and thought they were pretty good. I was bombarded with ads for add-on products, and succumbed. But if there's any problem, their customer service is the worst! Their return policy, as stated on that section of their website, is not exactly the breezy "30-day trial period" that they advertise to get you to buy. My first issue was with a door anchor strap that wouldn't slide under my door. I hadn't anticipated that problem, and didn't attempt to install it within 30 days, so I had to let it go. (30 days, no exceptions!) I didn't find the body bar attachment to be especially convenient either. I was glad to see that purchase was still within the 30-day return period, and initiated a return. What an ordeal! It took a chain of some 25 emails to get a refund, but I finally did. It was a little annoying that they opened with the "small, woman-owned business" ploy. What kind of person would want to return something to a small, woman-owned business? WHY did I want to return it? (I... just don't like using it?) Then they wanted photos of everything. (The items were virtually unused -- almost untouched.) I packed everything back up securely with plenty of bubble wrap. Naturally, I had to pay the $18.40 Priority Mail shipping cost. (Because they're so small! And woman-owned.) And then I heard nothing for a couple of weeks. So I sent another email to check on the status of my return. They said they would investigate. They reported back that, unfortunately, the returned items had been marked "damaged." (This struck me as highly unlikely.) They wanted photos, so they could file a damage claim. I told them they already had all the photos. They eventually refunded me, but it was a very tiresome process. Heaven help you if you need to return anything to this company! I was so annoyed, I blocked them on social media -- and have even thought about donating all the bands I bought from them -- just so I won't be reminded of this lousy customer service experience. (Oh, and that useless door anchor strap!) Their communication made me feel difficult and unreasonable. But I have never had to jump through so many hoops for a simple return.
