I was buying their products for a long time at Whole Foods and trusted the ingredients were safe. I am particularly not in favor of Sodium Benzoate and was happy when I found that some of the Andalou products didn't contain it.
Recently, however, Whole Foods stopped selling some of the Anadalou products I liked, therefore, I had to purchase them online. I noticed some of the same Andalou products I were buying online now contained Sodium Benzoate as an ingredient even though the site where I purchased it didn't list it as ingredient on their site. I have reached out to the site where I purchased the product but haven't heard from them yet. I will update this review when and if I do.
Therefore, if you don't like Sodium Benzoate, don't trust Andalou products from sites that don't list it as an ingredient, because it may contain it.
I should note that the Andalou site itself seems to list it as an ingredient.
I feel, however, that Andalou is partially to blame for the misrepresentation of their products on other sites and should have done a little more to resolve the issue for me. When I reached out to Andalou they suggested that I try to get a refund from the site that misrepresented the ingredients or donate the product to a homeless shelter.
I don't trust any of the Andalou products I have from them whether or not it contains sodium benzoate as an ingredient. I'm certainly not going to give it to someone else.

Ordered their product on August 16, 2024. Today is now September 10, 2024, and still have not received. I noticed this the last time I ordered their products approx 6 months ago that the ship time is longer. But, they send a confirmation number and tracking information but no tracking number! They don't return emails and there is no number to call. Not ordering again from this company.

I've been ordering Andalou Naturals products for many years and never experienced an issue until July 2024. Rather than share the details, the reason for this review is to warn potential customers about the free shipping option. If you select free shipping, several weeks may pass by without receiving your order, and you may not even receive a tracking number that will help you determine the status of your order. The company does not have a phone number for you to call, only an email address, and any response from them will not actually help you. They may only express their hope that your order will arrive soon. So, I highly recommend paying for shipping, so you will have an actual tracking number. When I finally received my order 16 days after placing it, the products were hot to the touch and I don't even know if they are still good to use on my face.

I'm extremely disappointed in the ethics of this company. While they have a few vegan products, the company's ethics, and morals are severely lacking. At checkout, they offer free gifts but fail to inform the buyer that not all the products in the gift box are vegan. I trusted that they were and realised that I had been using a non-vegan cleanser. I was very offended and upset by this and customer services showed little care. They replied with a template email of how ethical the company is, clearly not bothering to rectify the problem. The latest issue was a promotional email of buy 2 get 1 free. I ordered well within the promotion deadline but at checkout, the free gift did not show. When I emailed them, they asked me to send them a screenshot of the promotion. They have no idea what promotions are running. The customer service officer should have checked with the promotions team to see if they were running this offer and find out more, rather than placing the onus on me to prove it. I couldn't even forward the email as they don't allow replies unless from the website. I have decided to stop buying from them. I prefer to buy vegan products from vegan companies that have the understanding, ethics, morals, and sensitivity to vegan customers. This company shows nothing but arrogance and a lack of interest in its consumer's needs.
