I want to emphasize the excellent customer service. Dr Elhaik answered all my questions patiently and professionally even when I felt like I was pushing beyond what the test was about. I'm also deeply impressed from the accuracy and preciseness of the test. I purchased the rare British Isles ancestry test. The test has over 1,000 individuals and The test shows how related you are to each one of those ancient people. This is the coolest test I've ever seen. No other website offers you 1,000 people in one test. Love this website. Will go back for more.

Ancient DNA Hub advertises support for Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) data, yet in practice they are unable or unwilling to handle it.

I attempted to upload a properly formatted VCF.gz file and encountered issues on their website. Instead of investigating or providing even minimal technical support, I was told the file was “too large” and that assisting would “take too much time.” This is not an acceptable response for a platform that explicitly claims to support WGS uploads.

What is particularly concerning is the complete lack of technical engagement. I offered alternative approaches (filtered datasets, genotyped formats such as Ancestry/23andMe), yet there was no attempt to troubleshoot, no request for diagnostics, and no indication that the issue would be escalated. The final response simply stated that I could delete my account if I wished — a dismissive and unprofessional attitude toward a user reporting a legitimate problem.

If your infrastructure cannot handle WGS-scale data, this should not be advertised. At best, this is misleading; at worst, it reflects a fundamental lack of preparedness for the services being offered.

Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Ancient DNA Hub. Users working with large-scale genomic data should look elsewhere.

I ordered an Ancient DNA test from here and an other place, the other place gsve me information i already know, but with Ancient DNA hub, I learned a lot that I didn't already knew, like that i have Celtic in me. I also asked family members to see if it was true, and it was. Thank you Ancient DNA hub for providing me answers.

Five stars. I took a number of Ancient DNA Hub tests out of curiosity of
what ancient British Isles ancestry DNA I had in me. The British one was
brilliant and very insightful as I have for a long time wanted to know what
kind of ancient English native origins I had.
Then I took the 20 Gene Pools test which then showed up with 'Israelites',
among other such as Celtic, Aegean, Nordic, Persian, Indian, etc. I was
intrigued and amazed. The 50 Gene Pools test was even more insightful with
Slavic and a few others being shown on my percentages, including splitting of
gene pools for more clarity. I also took the 'My Ancient Gene Pool test' as
it was low cost for 'advanced' and free for 'basic' and also very interesting
revealing Yamnaya, Alba, and others.
Then another curiosity got the best of me due to the Israelites result on 20
Gene Pools test, and I took an Ancient Semitic test and found out I had some
Semitic I didn't know of, and then I took two Medieval Ashkenazi tests and
found out I have Ashkenazi Jewish DNA and ancestry from both England and
Germany based upon the results. I decided to take the Kingdom of Judah to see
what I get to help inform me of potential long lineage from Ashkenazi before
the medieval times.
Finally, I also took the Kent (Bronze Age to Dark Age) and Ancient Stonehenge
test which were interesting too.
The Tests also update but because of how accurate the results are, there
probably won't be much change from what I know which is a good thing because
I am the type that likes a bit more certainty in things.
The AI as a tool for help when interpreting more complex (yet equally
insightful results which other tests can't give as much) is okay, but is a
work in progress as with all AI, so it could be confusing with some answers,
but Dr. Eran would respond and correct any detail that might have been
problematic, and I asked questions as I am very enthusiastic about this, he
was very patient and answered my questions. Well worth it and recommended to
take this DNA test from Ancient DNA Hub

At first. I was very open about purchasing a test.
I must warn you, EasyDna does not honor purchasing the test through AncientDna hub nor do they communicate properly.
I purchased the test on the 6/1/2026 as it said I could download my information and get a detail report.
However when I got my results, I enquire why I wasn't allow to download it to which they replied they never me I would be able to. When it was written on AncientDna Hub that I would be able to. This was Monday... It is now Friday....
to be honest I am not sure If I would be able to download my results to upload it to ancientdna hub.
please be advised and perhaps, purchase a DNA ancestry test elsewhere as to not run into any unpleasant problems.

completely dissatisfied and would not recommend purchasing the HomeDNA™ Advanced Swabbing kit and GPS Origins as they do not give you what was promised.

This amazing website has given me lots of information I could not find anywhere else. After creating my family tree and using modern DNA results on a different site, I wanted to look deeper and see where my more ancient origins might be. Ancient DNA Hub has shown me the most similarities with ancient Vikings, Celts, British prehistoric communities, German bell beaker artisans and much more. I found out I came from Eurasian Hunter Gatherer stock, and also that my Sephardi DNA resonated with the Tribes of Judah and Levi. Even more amazingly, the most similarity with modern people (from the Tribe of Judah results) was with Iraq, and that is the furthest back I had traced this line of descent. The Vikings and Celt results perfectly reflect my family tree descent, and the Germanic Beaker Folk also echoes the DNA results I got on the modern website. There is no specific test for Sephardi DNA as yet, but lots of Aegean DNA showed up in my ancient results and I think this comes from my Sephardi ancestors. Dr. Elhaik is very helpful and has answered my questions individually, which I found most enlightening. I am continuing my DNA journey on this website and can't praise this company highly enough! If you want to know more than just your modern DNA roots, you will find the Ancient DNA Hub to be an excellent resource. I highly recommend this site and Dr Elhaik's excellent research - as he says, he follows the science and that is what is most needed today.

I was always curious about my ancestry because as an African American we are the one group of people who was stripped of everything when our ancestors came over on ships. So during the pandemic I embarked on a journey to discover my roots as a black negro living in America from a historical and biblical perspective. I knew that the Zondervan Compact Study bible confirmed that I wasn't from the line of Ham because he specifically said Ham wasn't the progenitor of the Negroes. We know that Japheth was the progenitor of the Caucasian races which left Negroes coming from the line of Shem. I further found out from research that I wasn't just a descendant of Shem but that my ancestors were Hebrews. That left the question of whether or not we were Hebrew Israelites or just Hebrews until more research came out showing that the Lemba Tribe possessed the Cohen DNA which was the DNA of Aaron the High Priest who was also Moses's brother. The E1B1A DNA is the very DNA of the Israelites which blew my socks off because the Lemba tribe always knew who they were as descendants of the Levites. Now this test along with the Semitic test further confirms that I too come from the Israelites. What a revelation to behold that my ancestors come from the tribe of the Lion, The Tribe of Judah. What an amazing tool ancient dna hub is. Going down this rabbit hole can be overwhelming at times but it's truly worth it. Now my only question is should I take the DNA test that Ancient DNA Hub offers to see if any of the results change with more accuracy from their own testing facilities versus just downloading and uploading my results from Ancestry.com as I've done thus far?

After completing the 'Tribes of Judah' test, I wanted to offer some constructive feedback. While the test presents an interesting concept, I found that certain interpretations seem heavily influenced by modern geopolitical frameworks rather than by the broader range of historical and textual evidence.

For instance, the connection of figures like "Necha" to modern places such as Bethlehem appears to rest more on current narratives than on a comprehensive historical analysis. This might inadvertently narrow the perspective for those earnestly seeking deeper ancestral understanding.

I believe there is a real opportunity here to strengthen the test by drawing from a wider, more balanced set of sources. The information gathered is meaningful, and refining the interpretations could make the results even more impactful and insightful for users.

All my tests have been reliable and complete.
Not only did I learn about where my ancestors came from, but also how their lives were. This company provides a full description of their haplogroups as well as their customs and in the case of warriors, the wounds they had. Some of my ancestors were healers, so Ancient DNA Hub showed me the herbs they used to help people. It has been a fascinating experience.

You are getting your true ancestry that goes deeper than anyone else out there. Plus they are very affordable compared to other services. Tests can range from $10-$100 depending on which tests you want to purchase. There are also some free tests as well. They also offer annual subscriptions where you can get free tests. Overall I have learned more about my ancestry over the past year with Ancient DNA Hub than all the other services I have tried combined over the past 5 years!! You get way more for your money than anyone else. Also you get tons of information about all the different cultures in your ancestry as well. Also Ancient DNA Hub is the tip of the spear when it comes to finding the descendants of lost cultures such as the Lost Tribes of Israel and The Moche Civilization to name a few. Your story may very well be there story and it's a story only DNA can tell. I highly recommend you give them a try and you will be amazed at what you discover about yourself and your ancestors!

I was so excited when I received my true identity of self in Semitic results from my ancient ancestors in came from the Levant. These results are so specific and detailed and I have never seen anything like this before. It answered all the questions that I had about my true identity. Although other dna tests revealed my hebrew/Semitic genetics from the Levant, it was not detailed as such. I am overwhelmed with gratutude and amazement about the detailed results. I searched and prayed for a ancient testing dna to connect to my ancestors and finally my prayers are answered. I am going to highly recommend this company to people. Thank you again so much! I transferred my dna file over and I was so surprised by the high quality of the results the tests I've tried. The quality of their tests is outstanding, they provide so much detailed information including the history, genetic details, stories and much more. They provide honest results and the results from their tests include everything found in your dna nothing is left out. I've noticed a big difference in my test results from other companies most places only show certain genetic groups. My test results at Ancient DNA Hub show everything I've seen at those other places but all in a single test plus new many I was unaware of. I'm thinking about purchasing a whole new dna swab kit from here because they are the most honest dna service I've tried and the quality is always top notch.

Currently researching various components to my genome and bloodline to connect me to my ancient ancestors has been a long, journey that has encouraged me greatly revealing my connection to the ancient Israelites and native understandings. Although each test only gives you a percentage depending on the level account you have, it is still enough to give you hope and clear direction to your heritage.

I ordered several tests both for my father and me. Delivery of the results was very swift, providing additional light and confirmation to what we already know about our personal genetic ancestry.
