We've ordered stuff from this lot before over the years with no particular problems. And they sell good gear. But hooooboy, something sure has changed there, I dunno maybe a campaign to lose customers??
On 17 June we ordered a couple of small items, and at 1.13PM we received a notification that they had been despatched, with tracking code provided. Great service, along similar lines to their past performance.
We noted at the time that they had used a courier ... which we thought was very odd given that we have overnight delivery as standard via Australia Post from them .... and couldn't imagine a possible scenario in which couriers would be cheaper than Australia Post.
We aren't the panicking types so we left it a full week before following up. On 24 June we had heard nothing further, so input the tracking link and got nothing. The courier's page did not note collected, in transit, or on board for delivery. It was just blank. So we sent a note via AMX's email help link. In the email we asked where our parcel was, it's expected delivery date and why they'd elected to engage a courier instead of standard Auspost ... which is cheaper for them and means overnight delivery to us. Bizarrely their staff answered by saying only that goods would be delivered on 27 June!! Yet another 3 days. They completely ignored the questions I'd asked!!
Interestingly we received a note from the courier later that day to say the package had just been collected!! Can you believe that ... AMX had sent us a note a WEEK before saying goods were in transit and provided tracking number ... which was a complete fabrication. How long would they have sat on the package had we not contacted them after a week?? 2 weeks ... a month ... 6 maybe???
We wrote to AMX again and were completely ignored. Just now we receive a note from courier to say the parcel is coming later today... 27 June. TEN days after we got a despatch notification from AMX.
There is zero possible explanation for this other than that AMX is on a drive to destroy its business. Partially successful in our case at least. We have now unsubscribed and won't deal with them again!!
