I purchased rubber flooring for a home gym. Their site claimed fast shipping, typically within a few days of ordering. It's been three weeks and their website says it's still in production. I reached out and they said it would ship on a specific date (three weeks after ordering), and it never did. Do not spend your money here. Terrible.
Inconsistent quality, poor customer service
Ordered black rubber flooring for a gym. The rubber quality was inconsistent (some more shiny, some more gritty). They did not resolve, and could not promise consistency in their product. Customer support was unhelpful, and kind of passive-aggressive. Would not recommend.

My experience with American Floor Mats has been nothing short of unacceptable, and I want to clearly outline everything that happened so others know exactly what to expect.
1. No Physical Location & No Inventory
I learned that this company has no physical location and that all employees work remotely. Nothing is kept in stock. Every product is manufactured only after an order is placed and then drop-shipped from third-party vendors. Because of this, orders take significantly longer than the timelines they promise.
2. First Order Was Completely Wrong
When our first shipment finally arrived, it was entirely incorrect. Instead of immediately correcting their mistake, the company tried to pressure us into accepting a partial discount to keep the wrong product. We had to push back just to get what we originally paid for.
3. Replacement Took Months & Arrived Damaged
The replacement shipment took an additional two months to arrive. When it finally showed up, it was damaged during shipping, and we had no choice but to refuse the delivery.
4. Promised Refund Was Never Issued
We were told we would receive a full refund, but that refund never happened. We had to call multiple times, and every attempt to speak with a manager resulted in excuses — we were repeatedly told they were “in meetings” and no one ever followed up.
5. Forced to Dispute Through Our Credit Card
After getting nowhere with the company, we ultimately had to file a dispute through our credit card company just to get our money back.

Based on everything we went through — incorrect orders, months-long delays, damaged shipments, no accountability, and the runaround on a refund — I strongly recommend avoiding this company completely.
Dishonest and fraudulent
I want to echo the reviews here about the absolutely abysmal customer service; they sent me the wrong product, gave me the bullshit “you have to pay for shipping and a 25 percent restocking fee” for THEIR mistake, said this was a courtesy (wtf?!) and then claimed a clearly wrong order confirmation (for a hog urine splash guard-I am not making this up) that they sent me was part of a banner ad. This despite the fact it had an order number. I hope the MD attorney general’s investigates this terrible company.

I ordered a mats that stated it would ship in five to ten business days. On the 12th business day, it finally shipped. I decided to give them another chance and ordered a different mat that was advertised as a “quick ship” item—shipping in just days.” After placing the order, I was informed it would still take - business 5-10 days to ship. There’s nothing “quick” about that. Don’t believe the shipping claims — it will take at least three weeks before your order is actually on a truck.
Terrible customer service…
The cut of the floormat I ordered didn't meet the specifications so it couldn't be used. It was never used, and in the original box. I asked for a refund. They wouldn't help at all. They have a great product but they have no customer service skills or try to help with the issue. Also, the way it was packaged made the mat buckle. I will never order form them again.
Desk chair mat folded
Price and delivery were fine but I ordered a desk chair mat and it came tri folded!! Why on earth would they tri fold a big plastic chair mat that's not made to be folded?. I doubt it will ever be actually flat. Definitely won't but another one from these guys.
Zero customer service - incapable
Absolutely incredulous customer service. The simplest of tasks are replied to in a condescending manner and/or ignored. When asked about shipping that is ignored as well and told stay tuned. They didn’t even want to provide me with an invoice that indicated it was payable in USD for an export. Every email seems to take two days to reply to. I still have no idea when this product will even be shipped. I will never be dealing with them again and I would recommend you do not either.

I would give a zero if I could. RUDE, does not ship on time, customer service shod be called no service. I called before hand to make sure I was ordering correctly. Then called to find out when ot would be delivered, I was told I didn't oder the correct quick ship for my application and I would need to change it. Charged an additional $600 for quickship version of a different product. I was told it would ship next day. Nope! Shipped in four days. We have lost the contract to ever do work for this gym. If you value your reputation do not order from this company!!!!!!!
Just a pathetic company
If you are considering purchasing a product from this company listen to the reviews. The floor mat I ordered was excessively over priced for what I received and the quality was sketchy. Not what I expected.
And...........there is a 25% restock fee, plus buyer pays return shipping costs. You will not see it on the website except at the very bottom of the web page where the word "terms" in tiny print is displayed. Hit that and the terms/conditions page appears. This tactic is very deceptive as you are not meant to see it. I never saw it.
When I inquired about a return I talked with their customer service rep. Ed Huylebroeck who turned out to be the rudest, most condescending customer service representative I have ever experienced. He’s in a class by himself. This garbage company is completely off my charts.

Gym floor mats cut short and poor customer support
Gym floor mats were cut short of the dimension ordered. Customer support was slow to answer until they eventually stopped responding and did nothing to remedy the issue.
"Custom Cut" not so Custom... Poor Customer Service
I ordered "custom cut" mats for a specific space in my gym, expecting a precise fit based on the measurements I provided. Unfortunately, the mats did not fit correctly, and the edges were not even cut straight.
When I contacted customer service to return just one roll and get the correct size, I was told that because they were "custom cut," they could not be returned or replaced. I found this frustrating—especially since the product wasn’t actually cut to the specs I submitted. When I asked why the edges weren’t straight if they were custom, the agent seemed indifferent and dismissive. He even muttered “Oh boy” under his breath, which felt unprofessional and disrespectful.
Eventually, I was told the mats are often cut larger than requested and not cut straight due to "human error." That explanation completely defeats the purpose of a "custom cut" order.
For a purchase over $300, I expected better accuracy, quality, and customer support. Unfortunately, I experienced poor service, poor product quality, and no accountability. I would not recommend this supplier for gym flooring or custom mat needs
Serious disappointment, I feel scammed
Serious disappointment. I paid 3x the average price for a "premium" floor mat, expecting to get a chair mat that wouldn't dent, curl or crack. Item did not get handed off to UPS the day they sent me the shipment confirmation, so the package didn't track correctly. When it did arrive I immediately opened and installed the mat. As soon as I put my office chair on the mat it began to dent from the weight of the empty chair. I contacted support about the issue. Three days later they got around to replying, providing the address to return along with the surprise that they were going to deduct 25% from my refund for restocking (a standard size, stock mat), and I had to pay return shipping as well. So while I paid $155 for the mat I will only receive about $40-$45 in a refund, if they actually refund the purchase. None of this information was on their website. I hold some responsibility for not thoroughly checking this company out. Had I done that I would have seen that their BBB membership has been revoked (51 complaints in the last 3 years), and at best they have a two star rating on any given site.
Run from this company! Even their premium products are junk and their customer service is pitiful!

Should have read reviews. Absurd delivery delays. Customer service rude and apathetic. The order looks to be a couple weeks “in production”. Already have a replacement from another source while the AFM is somewhere maybe ship next week!!! Should add it is obvious they have no concern for repeat business. I also wonder if they even produce anything. Makes me wonder if they are not sourcing then packaging from themselves. Would explain how long it takes for the simplest of orders.

Deceptive and Untrustworthy
Website states "Premium Carpet Logo Mats are the highest quality carpet-surface custom logo mats in the industry. Manufactured with DuPont's solution-dyed nylon, these logo mats will resist significant fading/color loss to guarantee years of beauty. Premium carpet logo mats are designed for high traffic areas and locations that expose these custom mats to the sun, wind and rain. The logo will not get rubbed off or fade away, even in the most demanding environments".
Translation based on my experience:
Premium means the high price paid for a thinly carpeted mat whose logo color assuredly fades in three months when located in a low traffic area on a large covered porch.
When questioned specifically concerning the quoted website claims, support/customer service would not provide straightforward answers or even acknowledge responsibility for quality issues. However, they would make a replacement mat for half price and they strongly recommended purchasing more of their products.
After reading other reviews, my experience is not an exception but standard procedure for this deceptive and untrustworthy company.

Buyer beware
Buyer beware! Product listing and product pictures on website are deceiving. The wall pads I bought only showed installed pads in various settings. No pictures of the actual product, front or back, and no pictures showing dimensions. The listing doesn't make it clear you are buying one, singular, pad for an astronomical price. Took them the maximum time allowed, per the listing, of 45 days to ship the product, and customer service would do nothing to rectify the misunderstanding. This company is for commercial buyers. If you are a personal consumer, stay away! I wish I could post a picture as it's quite comical what I got for $115, on sale!
Horrible indentations, unable to roll
Spent the extra money for a lifetime warranty chair mat. It is so soft that my chair leaves imprints even when I am not sitting in it. There are so many indentations now in the mat that I cannot roll freely - constantly pulling myself out of the "holes" (deep indentations). It may protect the carpet, but other than that it is horrible.
AVOID
AVOID! Like all the other reviews say, Customer Service is awful. Had mat issues and had to escalate externally in order to get a response.
