Spent months as a paying subscriber with Amazing Radio. My music was streamed by them every single day for 3 months, racking up 11,600 tune plays and 434 on-air plays. Despite this heavy, continuous daily rotation proving my music met their broadcast standards, I never made an A, B, or C list, never reached an audition, and never charted.
When I emailed them to ask why they were playing me constantly but completely stalling my progress, their support team completely failed to provide any actual customer support. First, they insulted my mixing and lyrics, telling me I wasn't good enough. When I challenged that contradiction, their tone turned deeply hostile, throwing out wild, unevidenced accusations claiming they found "suspicious activity" and "30 bot profiles" sharing my IP address.
Because of this shocking treatment, I told them to delete my profile. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue, address the severe staff misconduct, or provide professional support, they just instantly processed the deletion 26 minutes later to wash their hands of the situation and shut down the conversation.
They play independent artists every day to keep them paying, but the second you demand transparency or ask why you aren't charting, they insult your art, level fake accusations, and would rather lose a customer than provide accountability. Shady and unprofessional. Avoid.

Anyway, we had constant emails about our music, and in the end after realising the music which is being played is very poor unfinished bedroom quality being pitched, we understood the reasons why are music was being attacked.

In the end when they continued to question vocals for instrumentals we realised it was about nothing but some strange reasoning.

Before we knew, they cancelled our account and we had to put in a chargeback for service - in progress.

This company seems to want to promise exposure to new music but in essence it does not.

I am glad to be away from them. Look at all the negative reviews as it seems a common problem.

Personally I wouldn't give a star.

Amazing Radio are basically no different than SoundCloud or Reverbnation for storage of music.

They want you to pay 3 per month for an account whereby they claim a first spin.

Many friends have claimed that they despite having session musicians on the tracks, mixed by studios and even polished by top mastering agents like Abbey Road - the problem is that any good track which is commerically superior to the unmastered stuff (cr*p) on this site gets flagged as AI.

Amazing Radio is like myspace with IRC ... so worthless but was a cheap storage for demos/tracks until they closed the account.

Again one of our musician friend despite having a famous vocalist on their track was told that it was still AI.

Even on an instrumental track they were told him they needed to list all the vocals (instrumentals don't have vocalists)... This is the intelligence of the people working and they even wanted session players to be credited.

They cancelled his account without any emails, and have refused a refund so the card company is disputing service.

Unless you are PRS/PPL registered don't use as the cost and no promotion is not worth 3 per month and look at others who have the same opinion of the value of this service.

The only benefit is that they played one of the tracks 40-50 times on airplay so that PRS/PPL is still payable.

DO NOT USE THIS SUBSCRIPTION. Set up own website and sell direct. Use the DSPs links back to your website and use radio pluggers or do it yourself with your own EPK.

Yes you will hear lots of Independent Artists, which is great. You can build up your own list to play. You can pay for a download to help the band / artist out.
You can put your own on. All for a nominal fee.
That's as far is it gets because it's very obvious the whole chart part is waited to how much the PR pay in to the system can pay to continuously play every single day. If you're not entered in the A or B list by worth and offset by the DJ influences, then you're not going to be played on the Air stream. Even if you make the charts.
It's a bit of a waste of time and space if you think this platform is going to launch you into the Big Time. It won't.

I took out a subscription to Amazing Radio on the recommendation of a friend. I posted a great many tracks on the site although I only made 1 sale, because I actively promoted it myself.

I regularly got emails telling me my tracks were being played usually at some ungodly hour. Because of the number of tracks I submitted I was averaging 21 plays a week or so the weekly reports claimed. However, I began to smell a rat when reports showed the same track was either played at the same time or within minutes of the previous play.

I got fed up with these questionable reports and have cancelled my subscription 2 months before it expires.

From what I can surmise, Amazing collects money from naive hopefuls and plays their music on their site only. There’s nothing to indicate who, if anyone listens to it. The sheer volume of music on the site, means there is virtually no chance of being discovered even if anyone from the industry was listening.

This is not sour grapes on my part, it’s just an acknowledgement that as far as I see, this is just a vanity project where a musician can tell friends and family, they are on the “radio”

I have been following Amazing Radio for over a year and still have no idea what it is they actually do. Everything they describe is extremely vague. They claim this opens you up to CMJ performances, which I don’t believe they’ve actually held yet since the site FAQ describes their idea of a virtual performance for 2020. I have uploaded music and every week I get an email telling me my songs have been played X amount of times. Who cares? Who is listening? I have no idea.

While not a “scam”, it seems useless and like another bloated pay-to-play offering geared towards broke unsigned artists with stars in their eyes. At the very least, it feels like something someone with rich parents created that has no real benefit for anyone but wants to be part of the music industry. Still not sure what the point of this is (“to get discovered!” Lol ok) but whatever.

Where musicians get noticed? Not really. For all the bluster and hype, all you'll get is a couple of "First Spins" per track uploaded, then you'll be encouraged to spend £30 to have unlimited uploads - all of which also only get a couple of plays. Pretty lacklustre, to be honest. Sure, a lot of big names were supposedly "discovered" here, but most of that is down to advertising, promotion and determined pushing of a brand. If you are Indie, stick to Soundcloud. That may not be brilliant, but I've had a lot more feedback and interest there than on this waste of time. This is where musicians are pretty much ignored in favour of DJ ego. Avoid.
