Unacceptable delivery delay.

Ten days after placing an order with Aldo I'm still waiting for the goods to arrive! Allegedly they're being delivered by Evri, whose customer services have been in touch to say they're investigating the delay. But there's still no definite indication when I might expect them. This is totally unacceptable and Aldo need to consider whether they should be dealing with a company who deal with their customers in this way.

I bought some shoes from Aldo online purely because I couldn’t buy them in store. I’ve been a customer with Aldo for a number of years I have the Stessy high in every colour possible. I stopped ordering online because I didn’t like the support and the general service.

I really like these shoes they had 20% off and they were for a special occasion. After weeks of thinking about it I took the plunge and bought them.

Unfortunately upon arrival they had sent me a box within a box and no product just a lot of packaging.

The customer support team have been unhelpful. Aldo used to be such a great place to shop and I made many friends in my local store. It has now changed and the fact you can’t talk to someone to discuss your issues says it all.

The distress this has caused me is unfair it’s caused anxiety levels to rise and I’m out of pocket over a £100

Not all people with accessibility or vulnerability want to chat online - it’s very unfair to leave customers begging.

I find this very strange - as all my other emails are coming through. Also in this instance maybe you could call me.
I purchased something in good faith and have not received it.

It is now a week since I received packaging no item - this company have stolen my money & have no interest in resolving the issues. There is nothing wrong with my email and you can’t physically block emails. You have a number you can call & still have refused to do so!

It’s been over a week since I contacted Aldo they have taken my money & supplied no items they have lied & said they’ve tried to contact me and they haven’t. They are misleading customers and promising goods taking money not sending goods out. I will be contacting trading standards to report this!

Aldo is selling dangerous, defective goods to customers.

If I could give Aldo zero stars, I absolutely would. I purchased a handbag from their Stratford store during a sale (25% off), not realising it was faulty. The emblem had come loose, leaving sharp pins exposed inside the bag. When I reached in, I was pricked and injured by these pins.
I returned to the Stratford store to show both the defect and my injury. The store manager told me there was nothing she could do regarding compensation and directed me to customer service instead. Rather than addressing the issue, she even encouraged me to buy another bag.
After reporting the problem online and sending photos clearly showing the dangerous defect, I received an unbelievable response from an escalation manager. They offered me a “complimentary delivery code” so I could purchase the same faulty bag again, claiming it was still in their warehouse. It felt like my complaint wasn’t being taken seriously at all.
I was then asked by customer service to provide even more photos, which I did promptly. Since then, I’ve had no further response.
I had always thought Aldo was a reputable brand, but this experience suggests otherwise. Selling defective goods that can cause injury, combined with poor and dismissive customer service, is completely unacceptable.

We can confirm that a refund was processed for the faulty item in-store, and as the item was not available in stock at the time, we were unable to arrange a replacement.

As you had indicated that you still wished to receive the item, our customer service team also checked online availability and provided a free delivery code as a goodwill gesture to ensure there was no loss on your side.

We did not receive a further response following this, however we remain available to assist you should you still need any support. Please do not hesitate to contact us again, and we will be happy to help.

1st time buyer

1st time buyer, ordered shoes online quick and prompt delivery, the packaging was excellent delighted with my purchase. Would definitely recommend Aldo.

Faulty sandals and poor customer service

I contacted Aldo, because I bought sandals that I only wore twice. They were occasion wear.

I wore them to an event and they fell apart, which was majorly embarrassing considering the amount I paid for them.

When I contacted the support team by email they didn’t help with a resolution and said to raise this with Selfridges directly and if Selfridges can’t do anything then take them to Timpson’s to get them repaired myself (at my own cost), overall poor sandals and poor customer service.

Irrespective of where I purchased the sandal, it is still made and produced by Aldo UK, so they should have tried to at least look into the issue further or offer to repair the sandals at the very least. Retailers guarantee is only 30 days.

So I think it’s really poor customer service from Aldo, to respond and think that the above was a resolution to the problem, it just leaves me thinking I should never have bought from them in the first place. No other branded company ever leave their customers like this, clearly you don’t care for your customers and their well earned money on poor quality footwear. Especially when I provided photographic evidence and offered to send them back for inspection too. After I put up this review they denied ever selling to all Selfridges in the UK. It took 2/3 weeks for Aldo to come out with this excuse. Firstly I would ask Aldo to get their facts checked, Selfridges only have physical stores in the UK, so what are they trying to imply??

Secondly it clearly states online that Selfridges stock Aldo in store and online. Why don’t you just accept that your shoe quality is rubbish and your customer service is even worse. I’ve never come across a situation where a company spends more time accusing customers of lying than actually providing a resolution.

It looks like I’m not even allowed to leave an honest review without them denouncing it. They have tried various strategies to get this review taken down. If only they put half as much effort in to resolving client complaints perhaps they wouldn’t get as many bad reviews. I’m not the only one who has faulted them for the poor quality shoes. So by all means check out all the other negative reviews.

Very disappointed, will not be buying from them again.

Update: We've spoken with the management team and it seems that you can't buy ALDO from Selfridges in the UK. As we have no record of a transaction we're unable to help.

Well made comfortable shoes

ALDO is my favorite shoes brand since 2010.
The shoes are well made and looking good, too.
Specially the Pillow Walk range ones are very comfortable.
Whilst visiting Canada last year, I bought more pairs and wore them straight away. Never needed the Break-in period like some other brands.

Ok let’s start with the first order I…

Ok let’s start with the first order I made, the system updated it to a collection point rather than a home address WHILST charging me for a home delivery. So order cancelled.

Second order - was lied to by customer service SEVERAL times that the order is being dispatched. It was never processed after over a week. So order cancelled.

Third order - sent me the wrong shoes. I swear to god either they’re really really bad at their job or they’re holding animosity against me. I don’t know what the heck happened to Aldo. Their customer service was exceptional now there’s no accountability. No apology, no nothing. I’ve emailed them but people please be careful when ordering. They’re awful when it comes to providing support. I’m waiting now to rectify this and we’ll see how this review ends up

Aldo heels gave me the worst blisters of my life

I bought two pairs of heels from Aldo. They were very mid-size heels and when I tried them in the store they seemed comfortable. They were valued at £100 each. I wear heels only occasionally so in the next few months I wore them a total of 2 to 3 times and every single time my feet were left with the worst cuts and blisters because the shoes were so uncomfortable. I would think with a price tag like that the heels would be of higher quality and comfort. I ended up giving them some more time thinking that maybe they need to adjust to my feet but I was wrong. I ended up giving them to my mother because I thought they didn’t suit my feet. However, my mother was left with the worst blisters of her life to the point where she couldn’t walk comfortably. Since I bought them a few months ago the return date is long gone. I have emailed them regarding the situation and they said they can’t provide much of a solution and instead told me to take the shoes back to the store and see what they can do. Quite disappointing to have this kind of an experience after regarding the brand so highly.
