You market this as alumni friendly but it is not just someone's university, undisclosed (perhaps in super fine print somewhere) is that there are various universities lumped together, instead of one's own university. Additionally, your company strongly suggests that one obtains traveling insurance, which I don't oppose but that becomes the crutch for AHI Travel to step away and not take responsibility for someone who has to late minute cancel. You keep all the money without providing a service or product and justify it with the "pitched" travel insurance. If you don't provide a service, you don't deserve the money. I am deeply troubled by your reaction and response to my not being able to travel at last minute, due to an injury.

We are so sorry that an injury caused your cancellation from the program just over a week before departure. We hope your recovery is going well and appreciate your frank feedback. As our travelers are aware from the Terms & Conditions, we have a cancellation fee tier that escalates as we approach departure. This is not unique to AHI. The tier closely aligns with the cancellation structure of our supplier contracts, which, unfortunately, makes a cancellation 8 days from departure fully non-refundable to AHI, as well. This is the reason we strongly recommend cancellation insurance.

Great location. Exciting, varied, interesting and diverse itinerary. Great tour director - Christophe Baldo is fabulous! My friends and I would go on any tour with him. Great tour guides - informative and interesting.

The Athens Kalamata tour exceeded my expectations. The guide Marie was terrific. Knowledgeable and friendly. All tour days were filled with interesting activities. Small group size was perfect. Hotel in Kalamata, right on the ocean was so comfortable. The hotel in Athens was very tired, rooms small and not so clean. I'd look for another.

Enjoyed the trip
Enjoyed the trip. Didn’t like that we had to travel by bus each day to tours from
St Moritz and Stresa, but we booked and should have thought about it. A lot of time spend on bus each day. Group dinner in St Moritz at our hotel was not impressive.

Wonderful and relaxing experience
Was a small group (26-28) and a well planned trip. Everyone involved were very friendly and helpful. Never use to go on group tours but after this AHI experience would definitely use them again. Informative and entertaining with a good mix of free time and scheduled events.

Our trip was very well planned
Our trip was very well planned. All transports and excursions were on time. Hotels were very nice (2 of the 3 were great). Staying in one hotel for two or three nights is a must as it gives you a chance to relax. Planned meals were excellent, including meeting the dietary needs of several of the travelers. Would recommend AHI.

The travel director, Daniel Duran Duelt, was exceptional. Efficient, professional and very affable. He was unflappable in the face of potential problems.
The tour was also well-planned with interesting locales and experiences.

I received a email the week before…
I received a email the week before departure that completely changed the itinerary. They did not offer a refund, only a credit toward a future trip. We spent several dozen hours in a bus when we were supposed to be on a cruise ship/boat. Their excuse was low elevation on the Danube that I found out later has been a problem all summer. I have spent ten of thousands of dollars with AHI but I will never allow them to scam me again.

We regret that your trip did not unfold as anticipated, and we understand how disappointing changes to a river cruise itinerary can be. We stopped for one hour, after our ferry ride, took a train up to the city,
JUST to pee.
You need to transport the people as soon as possible to their final destination
After that once settled, we had 2-3 hour bus rides to get us the other various destinations.
The people who pay for this trip are quite affluent, as well as seniors. Some have mobility issues
The hotel in Taormina was dated, no restaurant.
The uphill struggle from the hotel to the main road was at least at a long 45 degree angle. Not suitable for your target group.

Variety of food , infection control mis information of the difficulty of the excursion.
Variety of food. It was limited. People were all sneezing and coughing including staff . There were no measures to privent.the spread of infection. There was too much walking. This information was not shared with older Passengers. There was no attention paid for slower walkers the group took off at a fast speed regardless of the slow walkers. This was not made clear.The bus stopped far before the destination of a place making it more difficult to walk and longer to walk.the tour guides were not well informed.

Tour director Marc Nathan made the experience a dream. Accommodations were luxe, Rovos Rail a trip back in time with 21st century amenities. Game drive Ranger Thabo at Kapama River Lodge was engaged and engaging.

Over the top experience.
What an amazing trip to Southern Africa! This was our second trip with AHI. First was to Egypt and Jordan. Both trips were excellent. The cohort of traveling companions were very interesting and well traveled. Our tour leader, Marc Nathan was the glue that put all of this together just perfectly. Not a thing went wrong throughout the whole trip. The hotels themselves were amazing and much higher category than how we usually travel. Made us feel extra pampered! Very comprehensive trip through Cape Town.Rovos rail was a cool experience but very difficult to get good sleep on a rattling train.Kapama River Lodge was the icing on the cake at the end of the trip!

Sicily Malta tour
great tour director, interesting itinerary, well organized, right-sized group
Downside: hotel in Taormina,,,,only one lift and it was essential to people like me on lowest floor, and access to street was dangerous.
The tour could have been longer - an extra day in Malta, and an extra day in Sicily, to give more time for exploring.
Excellent memories of what was provided, and good value.
