Afternic is good enough for basic use. The only reason I use it is because it syndicates domains to GoDaddy, which helps with exposure. Other than that, I wouldn’t rely on it. The user interface is ve... Mehr ansehen

Dimo Kolev was excellent! I called late and Afternic was closing, but Dimo still helped me. He was patient, knowledgeable and very professional.
I received my payment a couple of days after the domain sale was processed. I just confirmed it today.
For other customers that didn't get a good experience, it's possible that some necessary information was not provided.
Dimo gave me guidance on what was critical information to provide and what was not necessary.
I was able to avoid problems with my transaction because I received good step-by-step guidance and excellent support.
I will definitely use Afternic again and I highly recommend it to others.
My suggestions...
Clients should contact their customer support and get help with the process.
Afternic should consider revising the email notification by putting the step-by-step instructions on the email instead of asking sellers to click a link to get their money. It's anxiety-provoking because it looks like what scammers send to trick people.
I was nervous about clicking the link. So, I contacted Afternic.
My experience was great because of Dimo's help.

Excellent and Fast Customer Support
I had a very smooth experience with Aftermarket Support. My issue was resolved quickly and the communication was clear and professional. Elizaveta was very helpful and attentive throughout the process. I appreciate the quick responses and support. Highly recommended!

Very, very poor customer service. I sent them several urgent messages with no response. Also, the brokers cause many lost sales due to their own personal targets that have been set for them in advance. They always negotiate with buyers for large amounts, even if it means the sale never goes through.
They acquired and shut down Dan, and in doing so, destroyed a large part of the domain trading industry. It’s the worst platform ever.

Very good communication. <1 minute wait time on the phone. Solved my issue very quickly. The man on the phone was very courteous and understood my problem.

The world's number one platform for selling domain names.
I received transaction message: "We see PayPal with the email: xxxxxxxx.benning[@]gmail.com"..."Once we receive your confirmation, we will take manual actions on our end. Looking forward to hearing back from you!". This their quoted text can be verified and pulled up by respondent on here by going into the afternic transaction messaging interface for Pivotr.com. Any so how, I had confirmed my paypal email a time before, they only got back to me today and today I didn't like their all of a sudden insistance I go back fidget around in old payee reattempt at updating my email/info in there that has and anything new will get erased and not saved when I click save and they were before told of issue with saving and retention of. And I responded on the transaction messaging area today saying to them to keep your promise, has to do with doing "manual actions on our end" which above quote on quote they said they were to after I confirmed the correct paypal email to send me the money to, which was told, is here above, the unredacted portion seeable on afternic page, and cut to the chase... Not a good look and want still and expect payout sent to xxxxxxxx.benning[@]gmail.com , I am giving you people till July 15th 2025 to by latest do as you said with manual actions. I suggest you comply to your customer here's wants and not force the issue in me taking to your socials and escalating on up to afternic corporate plus/or your parent company execs at godaddy, best believe oh I will out this and show them how you mucked it up this bad for a customer if you don't do it manually and hurry this up, you have till July 15 2025.

They tried to sell me a domain for a completely stupid amount. I declined. Every few months another attempt. Months later again, but today I get this email;
Hi CHRIS,
Have you given up on this project? Is it safe to assume that you are no longer interested in acquiring allcity.com?
Let me know if you would like to make an offer.
Best,
Wesley Martin

I came here to leave a poor review. I don’t consider this email to be a polite business offer at all. I got to Trustpilot and saw their existing poor score. No surprise. Make up your own mind.
They bought their competitor Dan.com then shut it down and forced everyone to come to them without even bothering to take what was good about their competitor: the accessibility of customer service, certain features, especially on landing pages, and especially the design and UX.
This is typical of companies with lots of money but no brains, and history has shown what can happen in this case...
Elizaveta at Aftermarket Support was excellent. She is knowledgable, professional, and patient. And that was important to me, because I was very frustrated with domains not landing properly. (DNS issues, which she discovered when I called.) Elizaveta stayed with me as I made corrections to be sure my domains resolved properly. She is also very nice! Thank you!

I have sold and bought 5 figures of domain names. I contacted support as I had trouble listing some more domain names and they suspended my account. They wouldn't tell me why, and there is no appeal process. If this is how they treat their better customers, imagine how they treat the rest. Absolutely horrible company avoid at all costs.

Only problem is getting paid without having to provide
- ymd of birth
- country of birth
- full bank account details
- W8 or W9 which reveals your SIN or SSN.
And for what, to get $75 after fees. No way I trust AfterNic or parent with such details of my life. They aren't a bank.
My big complaint is if AfterNic was not up front on the personal data that would be required to get paid, I expect if know in advance 90% of potential customers would just browse away from such a horrible operation. But they do not share anything in advance - Everything is a great UI experience until pay out time.
IMO avoid AterNic and parent GoDaddy like the plauge. They are fully aware of how they screw people and either get a domain without paying a dime or get personal data that is much more valuable. I am not accusing them of selling data, but they collect it and one day may be purchased by....

I've so far had a great experience with afternic. Just submitted a question, they responded within a few hours. I questioned their response & they responded again immediately with more info & exactly what I was looking for. Friendly & professional!

They cost me $30k. Don't trust them with your domain names. Horribly slow and incompetent customer support. Endless delays. No service.

I live in Arizonia. Someone in Arkansas got into my account. Within a very short time, the representatives in Afternic sent me an e-mail letting me know. Before any damage occurred , I was able to change my information with a new password and two way identification. I can't say enough about how I appreciated them being on it. They earned their 5 stars in my book.

I put up a domain on sale with them, few months later my account was deleted but the domain is still on sale. Their contact page just throws an error 'something went wrong'. The problem appears to be with how accounts are linked between AfterNic and GoDaddy as on sign-on attempt a message comes up saying 'There's already an Afternic account associated with your email. button: Link Account' So you click Link Account and it asks you to sign in again, you enter the same exact email and it says 'You entered an incorrect username or password.' You try to reset the password, it says the user doesn't exist. It's called After Nic because after you register they nick your domain.

The chat human was fine, but your automated email that comes after one has put up a domain for sale via go daddy is confusing. It just says there's been a new sign on from Phoenix AZ - and this is NOT TRUE - AND CONFUSING - it suggests the account has been hacked. Instead, it needs to say this:
"IF you just used godaddy to list a domain for sale, this email means only that you now have an account with afternic. YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESET YOUR PASSWORD OR DO ANYTHING ELSE. YOU'RE ALL SET!"
Check out how other companies like gmail handle things like this. The message needs to be CLEAR.

My domain, that I’ve owned for more than 2 years, has been listed for sale on this site and they’re doing nothing to take it down.
What kind of two-bit company lists products for sale without verifying ownership? Because of this I am moving my domains away from GoDaddy entirely.

Antwort von Afternic
the website doesnt function. I cannot link my godaddy account or list any domains for sale. Just a greyed out screen. Whats going on here?
Ps: details:
I had bought some domains and I wanted to list them on afternic. When I try to link my godaddy account to my afternic account, it doesn't work. The option to link accounts is greyed out. If I try to list or add domains, the screen stays mostly blank and does not allow me to do anything. In short, I want to list domains for sale, and it won't allow me to do so. Thank you.

Afternic has a big problem with their third party domain listings, domains you own may be listed on their platform without your knowledge or will. Afternic's way of dealing with this is to put all responsibility on the current owner to sign up for their service, verify ownership via text record and then they'll allow you to remove the listing or alter the price, this is a bad business model, why should the responsibility of maintaining the listing accuracy of the platform fall on the end users? Their commission fees are also much higher than competitors. Update 6/3/25 - afternic asked me for more information to follow up weeks ago and they never replied to me, I think they ask everyone for more.details to manipulate the trust pilot system.
