My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before hiring them.
I paid £1,795 for what should have been a professional one-day house move. Instead, I received a disorganised and stressful service from start to finish.
The movers wasted several hours during the day, causing unnecessary delays. Despite the very high price, the work was poorly organised and inefficient.
When they finished, I discovered that not all of my belongings had been delivered. Later that evening, another gentleman, who was not part of the original moving team, had to bring the rest of my possessions. Because they had run out of boxes, many of my belongings arrived packed in plastic bags, which resulted in several items being damaged or broken.
Some of my furniture was also damaged. One drawer was broken and they refused to repair it before leaving. They also left one of my windows open when they left the property, showing a complete lack of care and professionalism.
The only positive part of this experience was the gentleman who returned with my missing belongings. He apologised sincerely, even though he was not responsible for what had happened.
After paying £1,795, I expected a reliable, careful and professional moving service. Instead, I experienced delays, missing belongings, damaged furniture, broken items and extremely poor customer service.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company and I would never use them again.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are disappointed to read this review, as several of the claims made are not supported by any evidence, despite our contacting you on more than three occasions and requesting clarification and supporting photographs/documentation.
The booking was clearly made for an 8-hour moving slot, with 20 boxes and packing materials included. Our team actually supplied significantly more materials than the agreed allowance in an effort to complete the move properly. The booking terms also clearly stated that additional time would be charged at our applicable overtime rate. Unfortunately, when the agreed time was exceeded, you declined to pay the applicable overtime charges.
We would also like to clarify that the booking was originally arranged by your friend on your behalf, rather than being booked directly by you. There were also significant parking and access issues during the move, which we have retained evidence of. These circumstances contributed to delays and were outside the control of our moving team.
Regarding the allegations of damaged or missing belongings, despite being given opportunities to provide evidence, we have not received photographs, videos, or other supporting documentation demonstrating that the alleged damage was caused by our team. We take genuine damage claims seriously and are always willing to investigate them when appropriate evidence is provided.
Unfortunately, rather than settling the outstanding charges in accordance with the agreed booking terms, you requested a refund. We cannot agree that a refund is justified where the agreed service was provided, additional materials were supplied, and additional working time was used.
We have successfully completed thousands of home and office removals, with many customers providing positive feedback about our professionalism, care and reliability. Like any service business, we understand that not every customer will have the same experience, but we believe reviews should reflect the complete circumstances and be supported by factual evidence where serious allegations are made.
We remain willing to review any genuine evidence you wish to provide regarding the alleged damage or missing items. However, we cannot accept unsupported allegations or statements that inaccurately represent the circumstances of the booking. but we also reserve our legal rights in relation to any inaccurate statements.

Avoid this company
Avoid this company - another online only removals company that cannot deliver what is promised or paid for!
They sent the removals team on the wrong day - which I only found out as a man who could barely speak English stated he couldn't find my house! I then had multiple phone calls with the company as they said I had the wrong day at my end! This was only resolved when I re-sent them their own quote which clearly stated the date the removal was scheduled for.
This was then followed up by multiple phone calls stating all sorts of potential issues that could stop the move taking place - which I had been very clear about when asking for a quote which they clearly hadn't accounted for.
They are now refusing to refund the deposit - which comes as no massive surprise if they cant even turn up on the right day.
Lost all confidence in the company and called to cancel the move and requested the deposit is refunded as no costs had been incurred.
The generic response back does make me laugh couldn’t have made it clearer to the team the potential access issues and the company have completely declined to refund my deposit.

No accountability, no response from company, AVOID
We paid for a dismantling, packing and moving to a home less than 10 miles away from each other. We were allocated 2 moving teams and trucks, and unfortunately one of the trucks broke down and the 2nd team never arrived.
The single team and truck had very little packing materials, no screwdrivers for dismantling, and one drill with 2 bits.
The team took over 3 days to finish packing (this was supposed to be a 2 day job), and the 2nd truck and team never arrived. Furniture was not properly dismantled, which we noticed on the second day when a large cupboard was half taken apart and carried into the truck. It broke in many places, so I had to return with my cousin to properly dismantle furniture which took most of the 2nd night. We experienced a bunch of different things, from furniture not being covered or secured when in transit, to the team losing screws from furniture dismantling to a set of house keys being lost and found eventually down the street.
We went through an insurance claim to replace broken and scratched furniture, and have not heard back from them since. There has been so much churn of employees, that no one can even give me a reference number for the insurance claim.
They seem to have blocked my phone number and do not reply to emails.
I would avoid this company.

Unfortunately, during your move one of the allocated vehicles experienced an unexpected mechanical issue, which impacted the original schedule. While our team worked hard to complete the move as quickly and safely as possible, we understand that delays and disruption can be frustrating and we apologise for the inconvenience caused.
With regard to the furniture damage claim, the matter was referred to the insurers in line with our standard procedure. However, the claim could not be progressed successfully as the supporting information and evidence requested by the insurers was not fully provided. In addition, some furniture dismantling and reassembly work was carried out by a relative of the client, which limited the insurer’s ability to assess liability for certain reported damages.
We would also like to clarify that we have not intentionally blocked communication and have always aimed to respond professionally wherever possible. We regret if there has been any misunderstanding during the process.
At AFS Removals, we take customer feedback seriously and continuously work to improve our services, staffing, and communication. We are sorry that your experience did not meet expectations and wish you all the best in your new home.

The whole experience was fantastic. I was contacted shortly after requesting a quote and had confirmed all the details of the move within an hour. AFS Removals provided us "Professional and courteous”from start to finish. The booking manager, Ammar organised the move very well. He made sure from the beginning, everything went smoothly. Steve, Sam and Nick came one day before for packing services, they dismantled the furniture and packed everything promptly and professionally. On the moving day, 5 men team came early with 2 Lorries. They loaded and packed all stuff with special care. It took about 4 hour to pack both lorries. The destination is about 30 minutes away. At the time both lorries arrived, the completion done and we already hot the keys of new house. They unloaded all the belongings on the right rooms. They are not so cheap as we have some other quotes. But the services, they provided are 10/10. I couldn't have asked for a better service, I thoroughly recommend AFS Removals.

I was helping my mum move and she was nervous about it. The lads were fantastic with her. They didn’t rush her, they explained what they were doing, and even helped her carry a few personal items she wanted to keep with her in the car. It’s the little things like that that stick with you. The furniture was packed and unpacked carefully, and they stayed until the final cupboard was in place. I definitely recommend AFS Removals to family and friends for such a stress free experience.
