It is the second time we plan a trip to Africa with Drive Botswana. The first time was 8 years ago for our honeymoon and it was so great that we decided to ask their support for our trip to Namibia this summer. We confirm everything was excellent: the trip was well planned, reservations managed perfectly, driving instructions were really precise (you do not even need a GPS!), communication was always smooth and the app with the online itinerary is definitely a plus! We highly recommend Drive Botswana.

Back in Norway again after our 3rd trip organized by Drive Botswana - and a great adventure again. This time we had the whole family with us - 15 people ageing from 21 months too 66 years of age in 4 vehicles - exploring in Botswana and Zimbabwe. A lot of fantastic moments with animal viewing and nights around the campfire. Game drives in Nokanyana Camp, evening cruise from Kasane, Victoria Falls and our stay at Kapula in Hwange are the highlights of the trip.
As always well organized and a fantastic service in preperations of the trip.

We have used Drive Botswana for 2 holidays and both have been outstanding experiences. Phil puts together a trip taking your preferences into consideration. Thorough research of the routes and the accommodations means you are usually sad to leave the place you are staying but looking forward to finding out what is next on the route. Routes and timings are accurate and this allows you to relax and enjoy the driving as much as the places you visit.

Phil organized a fantastic trip for us (5 adults 1 kid). He was very helpful and patient during the planning stage; we had so many questions and answered them all.
Our itinerary included Maun, Deception Valley Lodge, Boteti River Camp, Planet Baobab, Elephant Sands, Kasane (incl. a day trip to the Victoria Falls), Chobe, Ghoha Hills (Savuti) , and finally Nokanyana (Mababe).
We saw all the animals that we had hoped for, even a leopard and a pack of African Wild Dogs.

Drive Botswana did a fantastic job in planning and arranging a 20 day trip through Makgadikgadi, Kalahari, Savuti Chobe and Vic Falls. Phil took our outline and worked up a great itinerary that really worked for us. With 13 lodges / campsites, it was a busy schedule which meant a lot of work for him, not easy to do and we had a great time. We much prefer self-drive in that we get a much better sense of the country we’re traveling through. The camping truck we picked up in Maun was really good, well equipped with a good fridge and freezer and all the gear, bedding, towels, cooker and storage. Didn’t need to add anything. The vehicle, a Toyota 2.4 was great, no problems dealing with deep sand. Highly recommend Drive Botswana. Very good after-sales service as well.

Really good advise on routes before booking. And also good bookings by finding nice and affordable camp sites and hotels on the way. The detailed driving directions were also essential. Can only recommend Drive Botswana.

To plan a self-driving route in Southern Africa, lots of knowledge and experience is needed, and Phil provided just that! It was great to have recommended/booked campsites and routes to make the every day drives as smooth as possible. Not only this, but even tips of where to see certain animals are provided!

Drive Botswana organized our trip really perfect. In a 16 days trip with a few transfers cross borders, things tend to go wrong pretty easily. BUT, on the contrary, every single item on the itinerary was spot on and the received trip description was more easy to follow then the GPS and/or the downloaded maps. From the first contact until our return back in Europe, Drive Botswana (Andy) was very helpful and a true asset for our trip.

I just finished a short trip with this company. It was amazing. They were so organized and knowledgable, it was great.
The campsites they booked were spectacular, but hard to get to. You really have to be confident about your driving ability when we are off road.
The only reccomendation I would make to them is to get a new GPS device. The hardware is outdated and i ended up not using it. When you get WIFI, download a map and and use the map offline.
The car had everything we needed and we even used the recovery kit as we got a flat tire.

Highly recommend using this agency to help book your Botswana 4x4 journey! We spent two weeks camping at most of the national parks, it was an amazing experience! Andy will sort you out with a detailed travel plan with tips/tricks and what to do! We will do this again

Truly a trip of a lifetime! Phil at Drive Botswana was excellent at helping us plan the trip around the dates we had. We had a wedding in Namibia at the end of the trip so he curated a perfect itinerary for our 9 days in Namibia which ended with our friends wedding.

Phil also gave lots of options for a special night during our stay as a gift for my partner, I ended up choosing the dream cruiser at Onguma Lodge which was a truly unforgettable experience.

The directions were superb, although we had a GPS with the car it was still nice to reference the directions that Drive Botswana had provided to ensure that we were going on their recommended route rather than an unsuitable route.

This was our first safari experience and as a younger couple were slightly nervous about the trip prior to going but Phil made the whole trip so seamless.

Namibia is a beautiful country, with the friendliest people in - highly recommend anyone who is thinking about going to book through Drive Botswana!

Drive Botswana helped us to make our trip to Namibia/Botswana/Zimbabwe unforgettable. During the preparation the response was always extremely fast and precise. We had done a self drive safari 5 years ago which we planned ourselves, which entailed a huge amount of work. This time we were so lucky to discover Drivebotswana who with a little consultation devised a superb 3 week self drive safari with a fully equipped Toyota Hilux starting in Johannesburg and ending in Kasane, Botswana, taking in Namibia from Fish River Canyon to Caprivi. Into Botswana to Okavango and Chobe. And wonderful places in between. All campsites and lodges pre-booked.

DriveBotswana understood from the start exactly what we wanted and put together a programme that was ideal for us. Communication was prompt, detailed and accurate. Instructions for the whole trip were very comprehensive and everything went to plan. Our trip of 3 weeks self drive circling Namibia taking in all the major sights except the Caprivi Strait, was organised by Drive Botswana. We were provided with a fairly new 4x4 vehicle fully equipped for self sufficient camping. The whole adventure was organised well by Drive Botswana with all camp sites and lodges booked. It all went without a hitch. Driving distances are long but enjoyable soaking up the variety of scenery. Very good route directions were given and with good road signage navigation was easy. I warmly recommend Drive Botswana to you, they use their experience and knowledge to provide worry free arrangements for a trip that won’t disappoint.

What an adventure! We are still in awe of what we experienced and saw on our two week self-drive camping holiday organised by Drive Botswana. The itinerary devised by Andy gave us a fantastic taste of what Botswana has to offer. I would not hesitate to recommend Drive Botswana. Andy is very professional and personable.
