This was my 5th trip with Adventures Overland. Having travelled with them across Russia, Iceland, Brazil, Peru, Croatia and Slovenia, I naturally came with very high expectations. And once again, AO exceeded them.
The Kailash Mansarovar itinerary was thoughtfully designed, with adequate day breaks for acclimatisation and a gradual approach to the altitude. In a terrain as remote and challenging as this, the best possible hotels were thoughtfully chosen within the limitations of the landscape.
Sanjay’s leadership was, as always, dynamic and reassuring. Gourab’s coordination and medical support were absolutely flawless. The food truck and the wonderful Nepali team ensured that we had fresh, hot Indian meals every single day — something that made an enormous difference in such a difficult terrain.
Honestly, I don’t think I would have undertaken this journey without the safety net of Adventures Overland in such an unpredictable landscape. And what happened towards the end made us realise just how important that safety net was. Shivji’s blessings, combined with Sanjay’s instincts, reach and timely intervention in arranging helicopters for us from the Rasuwa border, meant that we narrowly escaped nature’s fury by just a few hours.
A huge kudos to the entire AO team — both the front-end and the back-end teams — and to everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this journey possible.
Five trips with Adventures Overland, and they have once again reminded me why I trust them with experiences that are far beyond ordinary travel ❤️

A Road That Changed Everything — Lahaul-Spiti with Adventures Overland

Some journeys are just trips. And then there are those that quietly rewire you from the inside.

My nine days through Lahaul-Spiti Valley (20th–28th June 2026) was the latter. Over 1,000 kilometres of mountain roads — raw, treacherous, breathtaking — and every single kilometre felt like a conversation between the road and my soul. This was my first journey with Adventures Overland. It will not be my last.

**The World They Choose to Show You**
Every halt, every stopover felt handpicked — not from a brochure, but by someone who actually *loves* these mountains. Scenic beyond words, ambient in ways that photographs can't capture, and staffed by people whose warmth matched the grandeur of the landscape around them. AO doesn't just find you a place to sleep; they find you a place to *feel*.

**The Details That Make You Feel Seen**
Personalised bag tags. Your name printed on the car. Certificates that carry your name like a badge of honour. No waiting at check-in or check-out. A food menu at every location, thoughtfully curated so every palate — spicy, mild, vegetarian, indulgent — felt catered to.

And on those long mountain drives? You were never left hungry. Never. (Though I must confess — I would have loved dark chocolate dessert, AO should Consider this 😄)

These aren't just amenities. They are quiet acts of care that tell you: *you matter here.

**An Itinerary Written With Love**
The route through Lahaul-Spiti is not easy to design. The geography is unforgiving, the altitude humbling, the distances deceptive. Yet the itinerary flowed with a grace that felt almost choreographed — every stop earning its place, every drive building toward something more magnificent than the last. You sensed the sincerity behind its making.

**The Heartbeat of the Journey — The Team**
If the mountains were the stage, the AO team were the soul of the show.

Amit led with quiet authority and genuine warmth. Tarun and Ishita brought energy and empathy in equal measure. Miftah was steadfast through every task And Harish Bhai — guiding the convoy from behind, the unsung anchor of every mile — embodied what it means to truly look after people. Their team work is just simply impeccable... I am sure thriving such culture is not easy.. a big shout to the founders as well in ensuring this ...👍

Their radio communication was precise, calm, almost poetic in its timing — threading the convoy safely through roads that demanded complete respect. And at the end of every challenging stretch, their words of encouragement didn't feel scripted. They felt *meant*.
This is the difference between a good trip and a great experience: not the destination, but the people walking — or driving — beside you.

Adventures Overland is now, without question, my go-to travel companion for future adventure journeys. If you're contemplating Lahaul-Spiti, stop contemplating. Just go. Go with them. Lastly I would like to end with a quote ...

I went on car trip to Ladakh region, arranged by the adventurers overland (AO) recently from 23 rd May to 5th June 2026 . It was a wonderful experience and in fact , it was my best adventure holiday so far . AO team was excellent at every stage of the trip and made my travelling so easy and enjoyable . Accommodation was top class .
Prachur , the team leader , is simply outstanding .His team members , Udit, Ridham , Shruti and Harish were also very good . Overall ,I enjoyed the trip to the fullest and it exceeded my expectations . Thank you guys !

I had some reservation before embarking on road journey but guidance and car provided put my mind at rest. Everything was well planned and executed. Probably this is the best way to explore the nature beauty of this region. I an grateful to team leader Shalin and Pratik and Adventure Overland to make this trip memorable.

We did the Spiti lahaul drive with AO & it truly was an amazing experience!
From the beginning to the end… the AO team impressed us with their warm smiles and never say never attitude! Evrything was well organised - the stay, the food , the on road guidance and to top it all , the extra special HAMPER !! It had loads of goodies !
A big shout out to Akshay, Miffta, Swati , Harishbhai and Akanksha … we felt safe and well looked after because of all the efforts of the team !

Cheers to an amazing trip I had with the AO group. People say u return from a trip with bitter sweet memories(that's how it usually goes). But to be honest, except for the farewell part, there were no memories that I would look back to and regret about. Filled with amazing memories and amazing people found;made an extended family-so welcoming and loving, especially the AO team members. Special thanks to Akshay bhaiya for the surprises not expected and the other thing too(you know that)and harish bhaiya being so patient with everything and swati ma'am being an amazing person,for her motivating words and fun random convos and akanksha for being such an amazing friend and miftah who said yes to all the things and demands asked for. Will miss you guys a lot.

It was very well managed expedition with no troubles and all the things like food, confort being taken care off including including timings. Immensly enjoyed the drive and also the company. The difficult terrain looked easy with all the support system and hospitality. I would definately recommend to choose Adventure Overland

We had a memorable road trip in Lahual Spiti. Team AO under the leadership of Mr Akshay and support staff namely Swati, miffta and Harish made it more enjoyable. Stays were very comfortable and food was awesome. Looking forward for more trips with AO.

I loved the whole trip. our guides were the absolute best. Akshay, Miff, Harish and Swati were the best team we could've had for this trip. everything that was planned was very fun, every drive was the absolute best and I made many memories that'll last for life.
